Definitions
- Receiver on channel Another option that fits behind the ear is the RIC (Receiver In the Canal) models. Its functionality is similar to that of open adapters, allowing a more natural and ventilated hearing; with the difference of being connected to the ear by a thin and discreet cable that feeds the receiver that is inserted into the ear canal. Their different sizes mean that they can be adapted from the first appointment and their amplification is very comfortable for patients who have losses mainly in the high frequencies.
- Intrachannel As its name indicates, ITC (In The Canal) intracanal hearing aids are custom designed and inserted into the ear canal at a medium depth, making them more discreet. The tiny components mean that sounds are processed within a small capsule and can be adapted to patients with moderate to severe hearing loss.

Abstract
La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'alerte et de détection de sons pour des personnes à déficience auditive qui comprend un capteur de son qui reçoit des signaux de l'environnement pour les traiter dans le module de commande, lequel est programmé pour envoyer un signal d'alerte à l'utilisateur au moyen d'un moteur, ce signal étant transmis lorsqu'un obstacle peut présenter un danger. Une autre caractéristique de la présente invention consiste en ce qu'elle possède des capteurs de détection vocale intégrés qui permettent de reconnaître lorsqu'une personne veut interagir avec l'utilisateur du dispositif d'alerte et de détection de sons et codifier les mots de l'interlocuteur en code Morse, lequel est ensuite envoyé et transmis par les actionneurs pour que l'utilisateur puisse comprendre clairement le message qu'on souhaite lui transmettre.
