Abstract

Disclosed is a face mask formed from a transparent laminar body dimensioned to cover a user's mouth and nose, with fastening means and means for adding an antibacterial filter. TRANSPARENT ERGONOMIC MASK WITH MULTIFUNCTIONAL SUPPORT

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The invention, as expressed in the title of this specification, refers to an ergonomic transparent mask with multifunctional support, providing, to the function for which it is intended, advantages and characteristics, which are described in detail below, which represent a improvement of the current state of the art.

More particularly, the object of the invention focuses on a hygienic protection mask that, being one of those made up of a body intended to cover the user's mouth and nose in order to protect against contagion by viruses, bacteria or other pathogens , is distinguished by the fact that said body, made of transparent material to allow the user's facial identification, has an ergonomic configuration in the form of a shell that adapts to the user's face and that has, in its lower area, a support, optionally interchangeable, of a multifunctional nature, serving, in addition to the incorporation of an antibacterial filter, to also incorporate other elements such as an extractor or ventilator to assist breathing, or a holder for gastric tubes, or an adapter for tubes of portable oxygen cylinders, or a customizable element, thanks to all of which, in addition to allowing a more versatile use, improves the sound gone when speaking and communication by lip reading, as well as the exit of carbon dioxide.

FIELD OF APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION

The field of application of the present invention falls within the sector of the industry dedicated to the manufacture of individual protection systems, focusing particularly on the field of hygienic protection masks.

As is known, as a result of the appearance of pandemics such as the one caused by the COVID-19 virus, in practically all countries of the world it has become essential to wear a hygienic protection mask. This, although it is a good solution to avoid contagion, entails a series of inconveniences derived from the covering of the users' faces.

Among others, the main drawbacks are two: the impossibility of facial identification of the person, for which many of the automatic biometric recognition systems of people are not applicable, with the corresponding risk that this may entail, for example for control services of access, and the impossibility of being able to read lips by people with hearing disabilities, which means that, if they do not want to risk possible contagion, these people see their possibilities of communication greatly diminished.

To solve these drawbacks, the applicant himself has developed and disclosed, through Utility Model ES1252099U, a hygienic protection mask with an antibacterial filter whose laminar body is made of transparent material, which, although it satisfactorily fulfills the objective it pursues, can be made in different production options, for example flexible plastic, methacrylate, or silicone, being able to apply graphene layers to all these materials, as well as having anti-fog treatment, be washable or have a rubber edge, It presents aspects that can be improved.

In particular, the aspects to be improved are those related to its functionality, such as the shape of the mask body itself and the shape and position of the filter, to improve the sound when speaking, to improve communication by lip reading, or to improve the outlet of the carbon dioxide, given the type of material with which said body is made and the necessary incorporation of the valve or support for the filter into it.

In addition, other aspects that can be improved are the possibility of using this type of mask by

SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) part of patients who require special attention, for example, help in breathing or feeding through a gastric tube, making its advantages compatible with the use of elements for such needs.

In short, the objective of the present invention is a new improved transparent hygienic protection mask to provide it with greater functional versatility, allowing, in an easy and practical way, to be able to adapt its use to the particular needs of different types of users or different circumstances by means of the development of an improved fully ergonomic design and the inclusion of a support for the multifunctional filter.

On the other hand, and as a reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, at least by the applicant, the existence of any other transparent hygienic mask that has the same or similar technical and structural characteristics as those presented is unknown. which is claimed here.

EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The ergonomic transparent mask with multifunctional support that the invention proposes allows the aforementioned objectives to be satisfactorily achieved, the characterizing details that make it possible and that conveniently distinguish it being collected in the final claims that accompany this description.

Specifically, what the invention proposes, as noted above, is a hygienic protection mask which, being one of those made up of a body designed to cover the user's mouth and nose in order to protect against virus infections , bacteria or other pathogenic agents, which is made of transparent material to allow facial identification of the user, providing the possibility of allowing facial recognition of the person wearing the mask and the reading of the lips of the mask by people hearing impaired, is distinguished by the fact that it presents an ergonomic configuration in the shape of a casing that adapts to the user's face and that has, in its lower area, an optionally interchangeable, multifunctional support, which, in addition to serve for the incorporation of an interchangeable antibacterial filter, it can also be used to also incorporate other elements such as an extract r or ventilator to assist breathing, or a clamp for gastric tubes, or a

SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) adapter for portable oxygen cylinder tubes, or a customizable element, with which, in addition to allowing a much more versatile use of the mask, thanks to said ergonomic design the sound when speaking is improved and, thanks to the shape and position of the support for the filter, communication by lip reading is also improved, as well as the release of carbon dioxide.

For this, and more specifically, the mask of the invention, which, as has been said, is formed, in a known manner, from a laminar body made of transparent material and dimensioned to cover the mouth and nose of the user, and can be made of flexible plastic, methacrylate, transparent silicone or graphene, preferably with anti-fog treatment, being also washable to allow sterilization and reuse, and in which, in addition, the inclusion of an antibacterial filter is contemplated. distinguishes in that said laminar body has a configuration in the shape of a curved-concave shell that adapts, in an ergonomic way, to the shape of a face to fit over the nose and mouth covering part of the cheeks and below the chin, and in whose lower part it presents a transverse housing, which covers practically the entire lower part of the described casing and which, once the mask is placed, is positioned in front of the user's chin, below their mouth, and where the multifunctional support is incorporated, which, in turn, is suitable for attaching, on the inside, an antibacterial filter.

Preferably, said support, which has an elongated configuration coinciding with the aforementioned housing of the transparent casing, comprises an external frame, which fits into the housing of the lower part of the casing, preferably in an easily removable manner, for example by means of tabs made to that effect on its perimeter, and a rear closing grille that is attached to the inside of the frame to hold the filter that will have been placed between the frame and said rear closing grille, and one, two or more layers of filter can be included to provide a greater or lesser degree of filtration.

Optionally, the rear closure grille can have different shapes and have a wide hole design, for example, for conventional use, or a more closed hole design for greater protection in a use that requires greater protection against knocks, being able to There may be other different designs, depending on the usefulness of the mask in each case.

The design allows you to change the filter support to improve its cleaning, it also allows you to change the filter when its useful life ends and replace it with a new one. It also allows you to raise or lower the homologation of the mask depending on the homologation of the filter that is installed, turning the mask into a mask suitable for everyone in that its level of protection will be given by the type of filter that is placed, depending on the use that you want to give the mask in each case.

In addition, in the preferred embodiment of the invention, the external frame of the filter support has a central frame that allows coupling on it, also preferably in an easily removable manner, for example, by means of an external crown provided with tabs, of additional elements. such as an extractor or ventilator to assist breathing, or a support for gastric tube feeding, or an adapter for the tubes of oxygen cylinders.

Thus, the front design of said support, thanks to the aforementioned central frame, is designed to be able to place a breathing aid, for example a small extractor or electric fan, eliminating the mist that is produced when exhaling, or to facilitate intubation. of patients in hospitals by means of gastric tubes that would pass through the aforementioned central fence, in which case the incorporation of a support specially designed for this will have been foreseen and that, eventually, would be manufactured in the colors with which the dimensions of the gastric tubes are classified according to the regulations measured in French, or an adapter for the air tubes of portable oxygen cylinders used by oxygen-dependent people housed in their nose because they need breathing support and that, for example, they carry in a briefcase, to that they can use the mask at the same time that they use said oxygen.

In any case, the holder for probes or the adapter for oxygen tubes will be inserted in a removable ring that can be attached to the central frame of the frame.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

In view of the aforementioned figures, and according to the adopted numbering, several examples of non-limiting embodiments of the ergonomic transparent mask with multifunctional support of the invention can be seen, which includes what is described in detail below .

Preferably, said support (3), which has an elongated configuration coinciding with the aforementioned housing of the transparent casing, comprises an external frame (31), which fits in the housing (2) of the lower part of the casing (1) , and a rear closure grille (32) that is attached to the inside of the frame (31) to hold the filter that will have been placed between the frame (31) and said rear closure grille (32).

Optionally, the external frame (31) of the support (3) forms an integral part of the transparent casing (1), although, preferably, the entire support (3) is an independent element that is attached to the housing (2) in a manner easily removable, for example, by means of tabs or notches (33) provided peripherally on its edge, which can be seen, for example, in figure 11 or in figure 15.

Looking at figures 6 and 7, it can be seen how, optionally, the rear closing grid (32) of the support (3) for the filter has holes with different designs, for example, more open (figure 6) or more closed (figure 7). ), depending on the intended use of the mask.
