Abstract
An anatomical support element (1) is described, intended in particular to act as a seat support in physical and/or relaxation and/or playful activities such as, for example, yoga, Pilates, meditations of various types, video-gaming, prenatal gymnastics and/or breastfeeding, composed of at least one body consisting of a plurality of superimposed layers.
Description
ANATOMICAL SUPPORT ELEMENT
The present invention refers to an anatomical support element, intended in particular to act as a seat support in physical and/or relaxation and/or playful activities such as, for example, yoga, Pilates, meditations of various types, videogaming, antenatal gymnastics and/or breastfeeding.
In particular, different types of cushions, mats, seats, benches, armchairs, etc. intended to be used in physical and/or relaxation activities such as, for example, yoga, Pilates and meditations of various types, are known in the art. Their purpose is to try to help the user in obtaining the best possible posture, in particular in relation to the pelvis-spinal position.
In particular, the prior art proposes seating elements consisting of blocks of more or less elastic spongy material with a substantially parallelepiped shape: this geometric conformation in which the seating surface is substantially coplanar to the surface resting on the ground is,
however, due to the user, not very ergonomic as it causes the involuntary curvature of the spinal column .
Alternatively, the known art proposes seat cushions whose padding is made up of a plurality of granular elements , usually seeds : however, these cushions are particularly uncomfortable , especially during long periods of use , since the very nature of the granular elements that make them move under the weight of the user, creates an uneven seating surface in the cushion .
Obj ect of the present invention is solving the aforementioned prior art problems by providing an anatomical support element , intended in particular to act as a seat support in physical and/or relaxation and/or playful activities such as , for example , yoga, Pilates , meditations of various types , video-gaming, prenatal gymnastics and/or breastfeeding, which is more ergonomic and comfortable than that proposed by the known art .
The above and other obj ects and advantages of the invention, as will emerge from the following description, are achieved with an anatomical support element such as that described in claim 1 . Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variants of
the present invention form the subj ect of the claims emp 1 o y e e s .
It is understood that all attached claims form an integral part of the present description .
It will be immediately obvious that innumerable variations and modi fications ( for example relating to shape , dimensions , arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) can be made to what is described, without departing from the scope of the invention as appears from the attached claims .
The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments , provided by way of non-limiting example , with reference to the attached drawings , in which :
- FIG . 1 shows a top perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the support element according to the present invention;
- FIG . 2 shows another perspective view from above of the support element of FIG . 1 ;
- FIG . 3 shows another perspective view from above of the support element of the previous Figures ; and
- FIG . 4 shows a perspective view from above of the support element of the previous Figures
comprising covering means .
With reference to the Figures , it can be noted that the anatomical support element 1 according to the present invention, intended in particular to act as a seat support in physical and/or relaxation and/or playful activities such as , for example , yoga, Pilates , meditations of various types , videogaming, prenatal gymnastics and/or breastfeeding, is composed of at least one body consisting of a plurality of superimposed layers : in particular, in its simplest embodiment , the body of the element 1 according to the present invention comprises at least one lower layer 3 and at least one upper layer 7 .
It should be noted that , generally, the upper layer 7 is intended to support the pelvis and, possibly, part of the thighs of a user, while the lower layer 3 is obviously destined to go into support with the plane or surface of more suitable support such as , for example and typically, the ground .
In a further preferred embodiment , the body of the element 1 comprises at least one intermediate layer 5 interposed between said lower layer 3 and upper layer 7 .
Preferably, at least one or more of the layers 3 , 5 , 7 of the body of the element 1 according to the present invention is made of a homogeneous elastic material , this homogeneous elastic material being preferably selected from polyurethane , polyurethane foam, sponge , foam rubber, EVA foam, cotton, agglomerates .
Preferably, the lower layer 3 has a thickness between 0 . 5 cm and 15 cm, even more preferably between 3 . 5 cm and 8 cm .
Preferably, the upper layer 7 has a thickness of between 0 . 5 cm and 15 cm, even more preferably substantially equal to 2 . 5 cm .
Preferably, at least one intermediate layer 5 has a thickness of between 0 . 5 cm and 15 cm, even more preferably substantially equal to 2 cm .
Advantageously, one or more of the layers 3 , 5 , 7 can have a variable thickness comprised between the above-mentioned intervals and, in particular, a thickness increasing progressively or at intervals between the front part A and the rear part P of the body of the element 1 according to the present invention in such a way as to provide the user with a seat inclined towards the front of his body .
Furthermore , preferably, the lower layer 3 has a density between 10 kg/m3 and 100 kg/m3, even more preferably substantially equal to 75 kg/m3.
Preferably, the upper layer 7 has a density between 10 kg/m3 and 100 kg/m3, even more preferably substantially equal to 40 kg/m3.
Preferably, at least one intermediate layer 5 has a density between 10 kg/m3 and 100 kg/m3, even more preferably substantially equal to 40 kg/m3.
Obviously, the element 1 according to the present invention can comprise at least any covering means 9 , made of fabric or other, able to cover at least the upper layer 7 , i f not the whole body ( as shown, for example , in FIG . 4 ) , and make the use of element 1 itsel f more hygienic . It is quite clear that the covering means 9 , preferably shaped like a pillowcase , can be washable , removable and replaceable i f necessary . According to a preferred embodiment not shown, the covering means 9 could consist of at least a covering portion able to cover at least the upper layer 7 and retained to the body of the element 1 according to the present invention by means of one or more tapes or tie rods (not shown) , possibly made of a suitable elastic material .
