Definitions
- the present invention relates to an outdoor stove.
- heating systems that use electricity, either in the form of projector screens equipped with halogen or infrared lamps located in the upper areas of the terraces and nightstands, or tables with some heating element already either by infrared or by electrical resistances that usually have the heat generator at its base or on a column.
- Appliances that use gas are highly polluting and, for this reason, they are already prohibited or have an announced expiration date in all the countries of the European Union.
- the electrical elements also do not comply with the literal nature of this regulation due to the fact that there are thermal and nuclear power plants, with which, and in origin, the energy produced is not renewable or sustainable and is also polluting.
- an objective of the present invention is to provide an outdoor stove that heats the environment by means of an air convection system in a channeled, controlled and adjustable way, which allows the use of fuels from authorized non-conventional energies, these being sustainable, renewable and non-polluting energies, and that also optimize their performance and consumption, also avoiding possible burns due to physical contact.
- Another objective of the outdoor stove according to the present invention is to be able to refuel it while it is in operation, without the need to stop its operation.
- the outdoor stove according to the present invention comprises:
- the stove comprises a base on which the fuel tank and the burner are arranged, said base comprising a fuel refueling pipe in communication with the fuel tank, said pipe being separated from the flame generated by the burner .
- said refueling pipe comprises a removable cap.
- said base is frustoconical in shape, with the refueling pipe placed on the side wall of said frustoconical shape, and the flame generated by the burner is placed in the upper central part of said frustoconical shape.
- the fuel used in the patio heater in accordance with the present invention is ethanol, although any suitable fuel could be used.
- the base also comprises a flame regulator, for example, of pivoting type, which allows the intensity of the flame to be adjusted or its extinguishing from the outside of the stove.
- a flame regulator for example, of pivoting type, which allows the intensity of the flame to be adjusted or its extinguishing from the outside of the stove.
- the base may include wheels.
- the outdoor stove according to the present invention preferably comprises an air diffuser at the top of the combustion chamber.
- the surface of the flame outlet occupies between 5% and 20% of the surface of the base.
- the surface of the flame outlet occupies between 9% and 14% of the surface of the base.
- the volume of the combustion chamber is between 0.10 and 0.20 cubic meters, in particular, it is between 0.11 and 0.18 cubic meters, depending on its surface and its height from the base. of the flame
- the shape that the flame exit hole may have can be regular or irregular, but preferably its limits are as far away as possible from the walls of the combustion chamber of the stove, therefore, it is recommended that it be placed centered on the base.
- the heat transfer system is by air convection, transporting the heated air upwards inside the combustion chamber.
- the stove through the air inlets and outlets, it causes a channeled, controlled and regulated ascending air current that comes into contact with a fire flame produced by the combustion of a non-polluting liquid fuel, gelled or solid contained in the tank, for example, ethanol.
- Ethanol is an unconventional, non-polluting, sustainable and renewable fuel, in addition to being non-explosive and easy to store.
- the balance between the inlet air flow, the heating power of the fuel used, the intensity of the fire flame, the volume of air to heat and the intensity of the air current caused inside the combustion chamber, as well as the outlet control of the hot air produced, are the factors that determine the suitability of the stove for outdoor use, all of them contributing to producing an adequate comfort temperature for the user.
- Other types of relevant factors that have been foreseen are those related to safety and that are basically summarized in two aspects: control of the fuel in the event of the stove tipping over by accident, and control of the maximum attainable temperature in the parts external, which in no case can be a cause of burns for its users.
- the autonomy of the tank has been another factor taken into account, contemplating maximum autonomy, since these stoves are basically designed to be used in open or semi-closed spaces in public places, such as cafeterias, restaurants, etc., and it is important to minimize maximum tank refueling operations.
- the design of the tank allows it to be refueled even when it is in operation, since as it is external to the combustion chamber that contains the flame, there is no possibility of the burner flame coming into contact with the refilling point, which allows their autonomy is not limited to a certain capacity.
- Figure 1 is a schematic elevation view of the outdoor stove according to the present invention.
- the outdoor stove according to the present invention comprises a base 1, which is preferably shaped square, but it could be of any other suitable shape, made of metal or any other type of material that covers what is foreseen for its function.
- This base 1 comprises supports or wheels 4, which facilitate its movement.
- the weight, the design, the material used and the dimensions of this base 1 are adequate to ensure the stability, robustness and resistance to inclement weather of the entire stove assembly.
- the base 1 houses a fuel tank 5 inside it, which prevents fuel from spilling in the event of an accident.
- This fuel is advantageously a material that complies with the regulations for outdoor stoves, for example, ethanol.
- the base 1 also comprises a regulator 3 for the intensity of the flame, whose regulator is preferably pivoting and a refueling pipe 7 provided with a plug that is directed towards the outside of the base 1, through which the tank is filled. 5, even with the stove running.
- the base 1 also includes a burner 12 that generates a flame, which exits through an outlet 9, preferably in a position centered on said base 1.
- the base 1 has a frustoconical shape, and the refueling pipe 7 is preferably placed on the side wall of the frustoconical shape, separated from the flame, which is located in the upper central part of said base 1.
- regulator 3 The function of regulator 3 is to regulate the intensity of the flame and its extinguishing from the outside.
- openings 2 In the upper part of the base 1 there are one or more openings 2 that allow the entry of air at room temperature into the interior of the stove.
- combustion chamber 8 formed from a structure, for example, of metal or any other heat-resistant material, and provided with protections, for example, of glass, channeling this chamber Combustion 8 the hot air produced by the flame.
- the upper part of the base 1, in contact with the combustion chamber 8, defines a surface 13, so that the surface of the flame outlet 9 occupies between 5% and 20% of the surface 13 of the base. 1, in particular, for example, the surface of the flame outlet 9 occupies between 9% and 14% of the surface 13 of the base 1.
- the volume of the combustion chamber 8 is between 0.10 and 0.20 cubic meters, in particular, it is between 0.11 and 0.18 cubic meters, depending on its surface area and its height. .
- the glass protection of the combustion chamber 8 allows the view of the flame produced by the burner. A part of the protection is advantageously practicable, to allow access to the interior of the combustion chamber 8 in order to proceed with lighting the stove.
- a diffuser 10 In the upper part of the stove there is a diffuser 10, whose mission is to channel all the hot air produced by the burner towards the outside of the combustion chamber 8, through an outlet 11, and to soften the outlet of the hot air. produced in the combustion chamber 8 to the outside.
