Description

AUTOMATIC ARMHOLE AND ARM IRONING CREASING PRESS
180° (DEGREES ROTATING) CAROUSEL SYSTEM
TECHNOLOGICAL AREA:
The invention is related to jacket ironing presses and is used to increase the additional investment cost, operator cost, and energy cost by 90% and to increase the ironing quality by 80% in the textile and apparel industry production line.
STATE OF THE ART:
There are various jacket ironing press systems that are currently used and are different from each other. Similar systems are used for the functioning of such systems. Namely, the total maximum number of pieces of such systems in the production line in an hour with one operator and one machine is 85.
This amount reaches to 680 pieces in 8 hours by taking the average of the working hours of the present day. Manufacturing factories have increased their production lines up to 1200-1400 jackets in order to comply with today’s competition and quality conditions.
Existing machines cannot meet this capacity and quality at desired yield.
Today, the factories use 2 machines to solve this problem and 2 operators to operate these machines. This causes an additional investment cost, operator cost, and energy cost to the establishment.
The mode of operation of the existing systems is as follows; it has 2 main body patterns both on the right and left sides on the body. These main body patterns are kept in a fixed position on the machine. Operator fastens the jacket position from either right or left side according to the flow direction of the band, on the main body pattern, that will correspond to the laser markers, via vacuum and specifies the arm position via the 360° rotating arm tong holder by using the front holders and side panel tensioning holders, respectively and starts the machine after the positioning process.
The ironing arm comes and starts the ironing process according to the program selected according to the type of fabric in the (PLC) control system. The ironing pad on the ironing arm has the possibility to move in two axes. It performs the ironing process according to the formula in the program.
Thanks to the carousel-shaped (180°) rotating body structure of our invention, while ironing in the current systems is conducted on the front side, ironing in our system occurs in the back side and front side provides the operator a safe and comfortable working area and a loading area. However, there is a quality problem caused by the fact that the ironing arm movement capabilities of the existing ironing systems have 2 axes. The ironing arms in the invention are increased to 3 axes and ironing quality is increased by 80%.
The difference of our invention when compared to the above-mentioned existing products is as follows:
Thanks to the specially developed Carousel body, 2 main body patterns as right and left in the existing systems are increased to 4 main body patterns as 2 right side patterns and 2 left side patterns in our system via a rotating main body system (180°). Thus, a (180°) rotating carousel loading and ironing station is developed and the ironing capacity of 1200-1400 jackets was reached with 90% efficiency in 8 hours by taking today’s working hours with one operator into consideration. Besides, the ironing arms in the invention are increased to 3 axes and ironing quality is increased by 80%.
TECHNICAL PROBLEMS THAT THE INVENTION AIMS TO SOLVE:
This invention is essentially developed due to the much higher operating costs of equivalent products and on the contrary, their much lower efficiency and ironing quality.
The low operating cost of our invention meets the production capacity of the establishment with a yield of 90%. It has the advantages of covering a small area (modular system) on site and being operated with 1 machine and 1 operator instead of 2 machines and 2 operators.
With this invention, in order to meet the capacity of the establishment in equivalent automatic armhole and arm ironing creasing press systems, our invention has provided the energy saving of the establishment and reduced the waste emissions to the nature by reducing 36 kilograms of steam in 1 hour to 22 kilograms in 1 hour that is used for the heating and ironing processes of 2 machines.
In addition, 40% energy saving is achieved in our invention, with the system called ECO POWER, which is developed by our company. This system has prevented the heat factor and heat loss to the outside by covering the back surfaces of the ironing patterns and the connection elements (steam spirals, pipe connection equipment, etc.) with a very good insulation material. Energy saving is also provided by finned strip aluminum patterns used. In addition, energy saving is achieved by programming the steam to be turned off and on according to the working and break times of the factory that are entered in the PLC control unit of the machine. If the machine is not used within a certain period of time, it automatically switches to the saving mode.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION:
The invention is related to the ironing systems in textile - apparel industry jacket production line and is designed to increase the additional investment cost, operator cost, and energy cost by 90% and to increase the ironing quality by 80% in the production line.
According to the operation principle of the invention, the operator fastens the jacket position from either right or left side according to the flow direction of the band, on the main body pattern (5), that will correspond to the laser markers (5) via vacuum and specifies the arm position by 360° traveling arm tong holder (9) by using the back side holders (6), front holders (7), and side panel tensioning holders (8), respectively and performs the alignment. Then, he starts the machine.
The table body (2) moves to the area where the 3-axis ironing patterns (15) located at the ironing station at the back of the located jackets by turning 180°. When it comes to the ironing area (16), ironing process starts by developing an ironing pad via air and steam of the 3-axis ironing pattern (15) for the armhole and arm of the jacket with the right and left axis (10), back and forth axis (12), up and down (11), right and left rotation (13) movements according to the formula of the selected program on the (PLC) screen. At the same time, it fastens the positions of two jackets, as right and left, to other empty main body patterns (5) in the loading station (17) at the front side that will correspond to the laser markers via vacuum on the main body patterns (5) and specifies the position of the armhole and arm via 360° traveling arm tong holders (9) by using the back side holders (6), front holders (7), and side panel tensioning holders (8), respectively, performs the positioning, and then starts the machine. 180° rotating table body (2) brings the ironed jackets at the back ironing area, back to the operator and delivers the newly positioned jackets to the ironing area at the same time. Thus, by developing a loading station at the front and an ironing station at the back, the desired number and quality of jacket production is achieved via a carousel loop system and a single operator. At the same time, the main body of the machine (1) (modular system) with its less area coverage has provided space saving. The use of 22 kg of steam in 1 hour has reduced energy saving and waste emission to the nature. Thanks to the positioning of 3-axis ironing patterns (15) in the rear ironing station (16), the operator has gained a safe and comfortable working area by eliminating the heat and steam generated during the ironing process in the front of other equivalent products.
TYPE OF APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION TO INDUSTRY:
The invention does not have a significant difference from the existing automatic armhole and arm ironing creasing presses in terms of the production process, production time, and production costs, and it is completely applicable to industry.
