Definitions
- the present invention relates to a dunnage bag without an inner bag that prevents damage to loads by placing them between loads in land, sea, air, and train wagon transportation.
- dunnage bags have gas-tight inner bags, usually made of polyethylene material, and the exterior is protected and supported by at least one layer of rubber material. These dunnage bags are widely used to stabilize the load during the transportation of cargo containers, reducing the likelihood of cargo damage and increasing transport safety. These dunnage bags generally, after some or all of the cargo is loaded into a freight or shipping container, one or more dunnage bags are placed in the spaces between the cargo and/or the walls of the cargo and the cargo container. These dunnage bags are typically placed between cargo loads in the deflated state and then inflated by gas. The pressure of the gas in these dunnage bags is adjusted according to the size of the cargo loads and the area to be fixed.
- Patent Number US7137765B1 discloses a composite dunnage bag.
- the invention consists of an elastic inner bag to be positioned between cargo loads during transport and an outer bag covering this bag with rubber.
- Patent Number JPH11268771 A issued on Oct. 05, 1999, discloses an air dunnage bag.
- the invention includes an inner bag wherein a check valve having a valve flap is heat- bonded to at least a corner of a synthetic resin thin film bag body, an exhaust valve, and an outer bag, and the inner surface of the check valve is coated with oil.
- Patent Number TR201900931 issued on Jan. 22, 2019, discloses a dunnage bag with tape.
- the invention is an outer layer fabric made of a material selected from polypropylene, polyethylene and polyester, which is used to stabilize the loads by filling the spaces between loads in land, sea and train transportation; an inner layer made of a polymer film material selected from polyethylene, polyamide, polypropylene; discloses an inflatable dunnage bag that includes an adhesive tape positioned directly on the outer layer fabric at the outer layer fabric and on the inner or outer parts of the outer layer fabric and at both cut ends, enabling the outer layer woven fabric to increase the tensile, tear, puncture and bursting strengths in the weft and warp directions.
- Each of the inventions described above includes an inner bag and an outer bag.
- the inner bag creates a financial burden for the company.
- the use of adhesive tape by heat treatment of the dunnage bag used in the invention numbered TR201900931 will cause the dunnage bag to leak gas in long-term use due to the nature of the tape.
- the present invention is a dunnage bag without inner bag and production method thereof which can overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages, is a low cost, suitable for mass production, can be used without the need for an inner bag, that does not leak the gas it stores in, easy to use, and environmentally friendly.
- Our invention eliminates the need for an inner bag in the dunnage bag currently used, and it can provide the same resistance as existing systems without an inner bag.
- our invention eliminates the method of sewing the mouth and base parts used during the production of the inner bag and outer bag in the current systems, and instead of this method, our invention includes only the method of fastening the mouth and bottom parts of the outer bag with hot air method using strips coated with special chemicals. With this method, the sealing performance of the dunnage bag increases.
- our invention includes a patch to weld the valve on the bag more strongly and securely.
- the invention has a solid structure.
- Figure 2 The perspective view of the system. Figures that will provide assistance in understanding of the present invention are enumerated and given down below along with the description of the reference numerals.
- the present invention is comprised of the process steps of plastering the strip (3) with a heat- sensitive polypropylene-based polymer, bonding the mouth and bottom parts of the outer bag (1) with the strip (3) using the hot air method, at least one valve patch (2) is affixed to the surface of the outer bag (1) in order to enable the thermal welding to work more powerfully and safely, welding the valve (4) on the valve patch (2).
- the present invention is comprised of an outer bag (1), at least one strip (3) that completely surrounds the mouth and bottom parts of the outer bag (1) in such a way that the air-filled in it is sealed without the inner bag, at least one valve patch (2) affixed on the outer bag (1) in circular or rectangular or square or triangular form, at least one valve (4) fixed on the valve patch (2) to fill air into the outer bag (1).
- the inventive system is comprised of outer bag (1), valve patch (2), strip (3), valve (4).
- the valve patch (2) is positioned on the outer bag (1) and the valve (4) is welded on this patch (2).
- Strips (3) are placed in the mouth and bottom parts of the outer bag (1) in order to provide the sealing effect.
- the working principle of the invention is as follows: air is pressed into the outer bag (1) through the valve (4). After reaching a certain pressure, the valve (4) does not leak any more air, and thanks to the strips (3), no air leaks from the outer bag (1). In this way, our product prevents the products from tipping and being damaged during transportation.
