Description

HERBAL SUPPLEMENT CREAM USED IN CANCER PATIENTS
Technical Field
This invention relates to an herbal supplement cream that is used in cancer patients for the purpose of assisting skin care and supporting the wound healing and the reduction of inflammation.
Background of the Invention
Cancer patients experience many problems due to the adverse effects of cancer treatment along with the process of disease. Cancer treatments can affect the physical appearance. For example, loss of hair and eyebrow, changes in nail and skin and facial swelling are among the adverse effects of the treatments. Cancer treatments such as chemotherapy may dry the skin much and leave an adverse effect on the skin. Some adverse effects may develop in the skin tissue in the region where radiotherapy treatment is applied. These adverse effects start with mild rashes such as sunburn and may go up to wet, open wounds.
Cancer patients have high level of need for help in coping with the disease and treatment. Cancer patients need professional care aimed at contributing to the quality of life. This care primarily provides maximum symptom control and minimizes the physical and emotional suffering of the patients.
In the current situation, patients use skin care products for their skins that exhibit change. During this period, patients use products such as skin care products, cleansers and moisturisers, etc. These products are Neutrogena Soothing Clear Moisturiser, Nature's Secrets Golden Turmeric Facial Cream, Flametan, Flametol, Bepanthen plus, Madecassol. The invention is a skin care and anti-inflammatory cream as a supplement to treatment in cancer patients. It heals wounds resulting from skin problems such as skin redness and irritation in cancer patients who are undergoing radiotherapy treatment. It has a supportive effect on the healing of wounds and rashes on the breast skin in patients with breast cancer.
The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be understood more clearly through the detailed statement written below. For this reason, the evaluation should be performed by considering the detailed statements written below.
Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed statement, the present invention is explained in a way that the herbal supplement cream that can be used in cancer patients during cancer treatments does not have any limiting effect.
This invention relates to an herbal supplement cream that is used in cancer patients, and wherein the required ingredients and their weight ratios are as follows:
• 5-50% of Bitter squash extract,
• 1-30% of Turmeric oil,
• 1-10% of Olelim nigellae sativae (Black cumin oil),
• 0.1 -0.5% of Black pepper oil,
• 2-10% of Vaseline,
• 1-5% of PEG100 (Polyethylene Glycol Stearate), Glyceryl stearate
• 1 -7% of Stearic acid,
• 1 -7% of Cetyl alcohol,
• 1-5% of Paraffin oil, • 1 -5% of Isopropyl Myristate,
• 1 -7% of Shea Butter,
• 1-5% of Coconut oil,
• 1-10% of Glycerine,
• 0.01 -0.5% of Benzyl Alcohol,
• 0.5-2% of Phenoxyethanol,
• 0.01-1% of TriEthanolAmine,
• 30-70% of Water,
• Or 0.1-1% of colouring agent,
• Or 0.1-1% of odorizer.
The process steps of herbal supplement cream used in cancer patients are as follows:
• Collecting the bitter squash fruit before it is ripe, separating it from its pulp with an industrial type of fruit press and obtaining the bitter squash extract by filtering the juice of the fruit,
• Oils; obtaining the oils in the formulation by cold pressing, infusion method with water vapour distillation or maceration method,
• Melting and mixing substances in oil phase in a container (beaker) within a water bath at 50-80Q C,
• Mixing substances in water phase in a separate container (beaker) within a water bath at 50-80Q C,
• Keeping the substances in both containers (beakers) within a water bath at 50-80Q C for 10-45 minutes against possible microbial effects,
• Removing the substances from both containers (beakers) and by keeping them at room temperature, reaching the range of 50-75Q C in a cold room or within cold water bath,
• Transferring the beaker with water phase to the container (beaker) that contains the oil phase, among two phases reached to the appropriate temperature, and decanting it,
• Obtaining a fixed form by mixing the combined phases with a suitable mixer until the cream form is formed,
• Adding preservatives and/or colouring and odoring agents during mixing within the range of 30-50Q C,
• Resting for approximately 10 minutes after obtaining the fixed form.
With the Turmeric Oil in the invention, the skin problems caused by the Anti-cancer effect as a result of radiation therapy are eliminated. Olelim nigellae sativae heals wounds and performs skin care. The effect of black pepper oil improves by exhibiting combined effect with turmeric oil. Vaseline increases the absorption time on the skin barrier. PEG100 Stearate and Glyceryl Stearate act as a stabilizer for the Oil/water emulsion. Stearic acid is Co-emulsifier solvent and Cetyl alcohol is Emulsifier solvent. Paraffin oil and coconut oil facilitate skin care by increasing the absorption time. The content of Isopropyl Myristate exhibits softening and lubricating characteristics. Shea butter is moisturising and contains essential minerals for skin care. Glycerin has moisturising characteristics and Benzyl alcohol, Phenoxyethanol have protective characteristics. TriEthanolAmine Surfactant stabilizes the surface tension.
It is obvious that a person skilled in the art can demonstrate the novelty revealed in the invention by using similar embodiments and/or can apply this embodiment in other areas of similar purpose used in the art. It is therefore obvious that such embodiments will not accommodate the criterion of overcoming novelty and in particular the known status of art.
