최근 정보화 기술이 발전함에 따라 와이 파이(Wi-Fi), 블루투스(Bluetooth) 등과 같은 무선 통신 기술이 디스플레이 장치와 결합되어, 예를 들면 스마트폰 형태로 구현되고 있다. 이 경우, 안테나가 상기 디스플레이 장치에 결합되어 통신 기능이 수행될 수 있다.

따라서, 방사 특성을 향상시키면서 유연성이 향상된 안테나 구조를 제공하는 것이 바람직하다.

상기 금속 나노 와이어는 안테나 유닛(120)의 전기 전도성 및 전기적 내구성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 상기 금속 나노 와이어는 상기 전도성 고분자와 실질적으로 균일하게 혼합되어, 안테나 유닛(120)의 전체 영역에 걸쳐 균일하게 분포할 수 있다.
예시적인 실시예들에 있어서, 상기 금속 나노 와이어의 평균 직경은 50nm 이하일 수 있다. 상기 평균 직경이 50nm를 초과하는 경우, 안테나 유닛(120)의 광투과율이 감소하고 반사율이 증가할 수 있다.

두께 100nm의 유전층 상면 상에 은 나노 와이어(AgNW, 평균 직경 20nm, 평균길이 20㎛) 및 PEDOT:PSS를 포함하는 조성물을 도포 및 패터닝하여 안테나 유닛을 형성하였다. 상기 조성물 중 PEDOT:PSS 및 AgNW의 함량은 고형분 기준 각각 0.5중량%였고, 바인더 수지 물 및 알코올의 용매와 혼합한 혼합물이었다.
상기 안테나 유닛의 두께를 변경하면서 안테나 소자를 제조하였다.
비교예 1 내지 2
두께 100nm의 유전층 상면 상에 은(Ag), 팔라듐(Pd) 및 구리(Cu)의 합금(APC)을 사용하여 마름모 형상의 단위셀을 갖는 메쉬 구조의 안테나 유닛을 형성하였다. 상기 메쉬 구조에 포함된 전극 라인 선폭은 2.5㎛이며 두께를 변경하면서 전극 패턴을 제조하였다.
비교예 3
실시예 1 내지 4의 안테나 유닛 형성용 조성물에 있어서, PEDOT:PSS를 생략하고 AgNW의 함량을 1중량%로 변경한 것을 제외하고는 동일한 방법으로 두께 200nm의 안테나 유닛을 형성하였다.
실시예 및 비교예들의 안테나 소자들에 있어서 안테나 소자 굴곡 특성, 도전 패턴의 면저항 및 시인성을 평가하였다.
구체적으로, 굴곡 특성은 안테나 소자를 5R 에서 0.5R까지 100회 벤딩한 후 표면 관찰시 크랙이 발생하는 곡률 반경을 측정하였다.
또한, 시인성은 10명의 패널에게 안테나 소자를 관찰시켜 안테나 소자가 시인되는 경우를 0점, 전혀 시인되지 않는 경우를 10점으로 하여 점수를 부여토록 하였다. 이후, 평가 점수를 평균하여 시인성을 평가하였다.
평가결과는 하기의 표 1에 나타낸다.

표 1을 참조하면, 전도성 고분자 및 금속 나노 와이어를 포함하는 실시예들에 따른 안테나 소자의 경우, 비교예들과 유사한 투과율 및 면저항을 유지하면서, 전극 시인성이 현저히 개선되었다. 또한, 굴곡특성 시험에서 크랙이 발생하지 않았으므로 실시예들의 안테나 소자의 경우 반복 굴곡에 대한 내성이 현저히 향상되었다.
Claims (17)
- 유전층; 및상기 유전층 상면 상에 형성되며 전도성 고분자 및 금속 나노 와이어를 포함하는 안테나 유닛을 포함하는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 전도성 고분자는 PEDOT-PSS(poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) poly(styrenesulfonate))을 포함하는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 금속 나노 와이어는 은 나노 와이어를 포함하는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 안테나 유닛은 방사체, 상기 방사체와 연결되어 분기되는 전송 선로, 및 상기 전송 선로 말단에 연결된 신호 패드를 포함하는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 4에 있어서, 상기 방사체 및 상기 전송 선로는 상기 전도성 고분자 및 상기 금속 나노 와이어를 포함하며, 상기 신호 패드는 속이 찬(solid) 금속 패턴 구조를 갖는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 4에 있어서, 상기 방사체, 상기 전송 선로 및 상기 신호 패드는 전체적으로 상기 전도성 고분자 및 상기 금속 나노 와이어를 포함하는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 4에 있어서, 상기 유전층의 상기 상면은 굴곡면을 포함하며, 상기 안테나 유닛은 상기 굴곡면을 따라 함께 굴곡된, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 7에 있어서, 상기 유전층의 상기 상면은 제1 부분 및 굴곡되어 상기 제1 부분과 두께 방향으로 마주보는 제2 부분을 포함하고, 상기 굴곡면은 상기 제1 부분 및 상기 제2 부분 사이에 중개면으로 제공되는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 8에 있어서, 상기 방사체는 상기 제1 부분 상에 배치되고, 상기 전송 선로는 상기 중개면 상에 배치되고, 상기 신호 패드는 상기 제2 부분 상에 배치되는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 8에 있어서, 상기 방사체는 상기 중개면 상에 배치되고, 상기 신호 패드는 상기 제2 부분 상에 배치되고, 상기 전송 선로는 상기 중개면 및 상기 제2 부분 상에 걸쳐 배치되는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 유전층의 상기 상면 상에 상기 안테나 유닛 주변에 배치된 더미 패턴을 더 포함하는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 11에 있어서, 상기 더미 패턴은 에칭 처리된 금속 나노 와이어를 포함하는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 11에 있어서, 상기 안테나 유닛 및 상기 더미 패턴의 측벽들은 서로 접촉하는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 유전층 및 상기 안테나 유닛 사이에 형성된 유기 중간층 또는 무기 중간층을 더 포함하는, 안테나 소자.
- 청구항 14에 있어서, 상기 무기 중간층은 금속 산화물 또는 실리콘 산화물을 포함하는, 안테나 소자.
- 디스플레이 패널; 및상기 디스플레이 패널 상에 적층된 청구항 1의 안테나 소자를 포함하는, 디스플레이 장치.
- 청구항 16에 있어서, 상기 안테나 소자는 상기 디스플레이 패널의 측벽을 따라 굴곡된, 디스플레이 장치.
