Description
[001] It is the present Utility Model Patent to a constructive disposition applied in copper adhesive film, whose purpose is its application on any surface of any format with antimicrobial, antibacterial and antiviral function, providing security against viruses and bacteria in the surfaces that receive this coating.
[002] The films found on the market are specially made in plastic or pvc, such as the films applied to car or cell phone glass, which has merely aesthetic purposes or protection against the object's accidents.
[003] On the market, there are solar protection films that are applied to residential windows or car windows, and the well-known films applied to cell phones, however, they do not have any type of protection against viruses or bacteria, and the user must constantly sanitize .
[004] With this in mind, the applicant, after several studies and intelligently idealized the object of the application, differentiating from all other products on the market the Constructive Disposition Applied in Adhesive Film of Copper, which especially provides antimicrobial, antiviral and antibacterial when applied to any surface, as copper will inactivate microbes, viruses and bacteria in a few minutes, that is, the adhesive film is of fundamental importance to prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria, acting as a protective object on the applied surface. [005] The United States Environmental Protection Agency has stated that copper has bactericidal properties and can be used to prevent infections. Copper was already widely used by ancient peoples in medicine. “The Egyptians used copper to sterilize drinking water as well as to heal wounds. Hippocrates, the 5th century BC Greek physician who gave rise to the Hippocratic oath, healed open wounds and skin irritations using copper. The Romans also identified a number of diseases in which copper was the cure or treatment. In the same way, the Aztec culture alleviated sore throats with copper”, says Miguel Riquelme, director of the International Copper Association, an American organization that publicizes the uses of metal.
[006] In order to reach the film thickness, the copper goes through a lamination process, that is, it is passed between two rollers, and each time it goes through this lamination process, the copper thins, and after several days of work between the rollers, the copper reaches the desired thickness, which for information purposes is between 0.03mm and 0.06mm. This lamination process is time-consuming because the rollers are millimetrically tightened at each pass, because if between one and the other lamination step it is too tight, it will make the molecules more compact, making the material hard, and when the rollers are millimetrically tightened, it becomes the material is more malleable, and in the last step of laminating the copper, a double-sided adhesive is applied that will allow it to mold to the desired surface.
In order to have a clear view on the copper adhesive film, two photographs are attached in order to better elucidate the following detailed description, where:
[008] FIGURE 1 shows the product in coil format clearly showing the thickness that the copper is when working between rolls to the point of malleable film.
[009] FIGURE 2 shows the open and malleable product with the double-sided adhesive ready to be applied.
[010] According to the illustrations described above and their details presented, the Constructive Disposition Applied in Adhesive Copper Film, is characterized by the fact that the applicant has been able to laminate copper in the film thickness, applying adhesive and by the antimicrobial composition of copper , managing to coat any surface or product, making it safe and free from virus and/or bacteria transmission.
[011] It is possible to make raw copper handles and handrails, however the cost becomes unfeasible, since this metal has very added value, demonstrating that through the lamination process with the double-sided adhesive developed by the applicant, it also allows for a more affordable cost is able to coat any surface and product.
[012] As we have seen, the Applied Constructive Disposition and Adhesive Film of Copper, fully satisfies the proposed objectives providing technical and functional advantages, covering itself, therefore, with its own characteristics, innovative and endowed with fundamental requirements of novelty.
