[01] This invention deals with nutritional supplements for food safety obtained by the extrusion process of vegetable fibers of all species (non-starch polysaccharides) and industrial residues, as well as various cultures of grains and cereals for human consumption, originating or not from human waste or other fibers from algae, yeasts, enzymes, additives more specifically; said nutritional supplements belong to the field of food products for farm and/or domestic animals with food safety functions, more precisely acting as a food additive for the proper functioning of the digestive system as a prebiotic, as a mycotoxin adsorbent, among other functions with a insoluble/soluble fiber ratio greater than 60%.
FUNDAMENTOS DA TÉCNICA FUNDAMENTALS OF THE TECHNIQUE
[02] The issue of production or domestic animal welfare, of the type of intensive breeding, causes a growing social concern, since society requires an ethical and acceptable production system. Therefore, many variants must be controlled by producers, from the correct temperature in the production environment, through hygiene, biological control and others, to the conditions of the feed provided, which must be free of contaminants that can generate various symptoms, such as diet rejection, drop in productive and reproductive performance, among others. As a rule, the producer only notices the contamination of the feed when the first symptoms appear in the animals. By contamination, one can consider the need to use antibiotics to combat bacteria and fungi, the presence of mycotoxins and others.
[03] Namely, mycotoxins are substances produced by fungi and that cause toxic effects in animals and humans. The presence of fungi in food and its consequent toxicity has been known for a long time, but the issue has received more attention in recent decades, as mycotoxins result in losses significant economic benefits for breeders, as they affect the health of the animals, reduce productivity and may even lead to the death of infected animals.
[04] In order to know if the contamination is by mycotoxins and which one is acting in the feed, for example if by macroscopic (mushrooms), if by parasites or by storage with low moisture content or in inappropriate conditions, it is necessary that the producer send a sample of the food to a specialized laboratory, generating cost and lead time for the response. Another form of diagnosis is through the necropsy of the most infected animals. During this period it is recommended that the producer change all the feed supplied to the animals. However, this is not the case, as this action is economically impractical. In order to alleviate the problems, the producer chooses to use adsorbent products, since the elimination of mycotoxins with the use of the adsorbent occurs through feces and urine. However, in addition to the cost on the productive scale, the adsorbent will not cause animals to produce more than they would if they did not ingest contaminated feed, but it will prevent these animals from continuing to produce below expectations.
[05] Namely, adsorbents act as a kind of magnet that attracts mycotoxins. This process takes place within the animal's digestive system, preventing absorption of the mycotoxin. Adsorbents have a large surface area and specific molecules to bind to mycotoxins, neutralizing them and carrying them out of the animal's body. But when purchasing a product of the adsorbent type in the market, it is necessary to verify that it will not "snatch" vitamins and drugs from the animal's body.
[06] For Professor Jânio Santúrio, from the University of Santa Maria (RS), the adsorbent is a useful and good tool for certain situations, especially when there is no technical and quality control over the feed or input, both at the time of purchase and storage. But, obviously, it adds cost to production", he warns.
DO ESTADO DA TÉCNICA [07] Therefore, and considering that animal feed costs vary between 40 to 60% of the total cost of production and profit, an adequate nutritional planning avoids unnecessary expenses and favors the profitability of the activity. STATE OF TECHNIQUE

[09] Database searches revealed other documents related to the topic, such as document MX2018004570 (GARZA) which deals with a formulation and method to obtain a feed for ruminants, which is preferably made from pine sawdust. Through physical conditioning for a specific size, sawdust improves its contact area for cellulolytic and hemicellulolytic microorganisms at the ruminal level and, therefore, its digestibility; then, in a chemical process, the lignin contained in the substrate is reduced, helping also with digestibility.
