Definitions

  • This invention relates to a roller skate.
  • Roller skates can be used to perform sport or as an environmentally friendly means of transport.
  • roller skates are used for recreational purposes or sport.
  • Skates are usually made in the form of a shoe equipped in its lower portion, that is to say, the one closest to the ground, with wheels.
  • rollerblade may be arranged in line, in this case the term "rollerblade” is used or arranged in pairs on two axes to form a square (traditional roller skates). Disadvantageously, not all users are able to manoeuvre naturally on roller skates, especially in the case of roller blades.
  • the difficulty of use is due to the fact that as well as carrying out the manoeuvres for moving forward along the ground it is also necessary to pay great attention to maintaining an adequate balance.
  • roller skates comprise self-propelled systems.
  • patent US5492345 describes a self-propelled roller skate wherein the shoe rotates with respect to a lower frame pulling the rear wheel by means of a cable.
  • a major drawback is due to the fact that the cable used does not allow a fluid and natural movement and is not effective in transmitting the motion to the rear wheel, cancelling and reducing the overall energy efficiency of the skate.
  • the aim of the invention is to provide a roller skate which overcomes the drawbacks of the prior art.
  • a further aim of the invention is to provide a roller skate which allows a facilitated and more natural use also by an unskilled user with an efficient transmission of the forward motion.
  • a further aim is to provide a roller skate which, if used by persons with an average level of skill, allows higher speeds to be reached with respect to traditional roller skates or makes it possible to overcome significant slopes which would otherwise be difficult to overcome with traditional roller skates.
