Description
Textile fibre product with insect protection
Field of invention
The technical solution concerns the area of textile fibre products with protection against insects posing danger to health or annoying insects, both crawling and flying, such as ticks, ants, mosquitoes, fleas, flies, lice, and the like.
Current state of technology
Currently, there are many agents for insect protection, not just for people but for animals as well.
Preparations against ectoparasites are based on a wide spectrum of active substances, each of which works differently. Some kill insects in various developmental stages, e.g., fleas, lice, mosquitoes, etc., and are therefore insecticidal, while other ones have acaricidical effects (pesticide), which means they kill mites and ticks. Other preparations have repellent effects, which means they repel parasites. They are applied by soaking, smearing, spreading, sprinkling, using spray, by dispersion etc. However, their effects are temporaiy. For animals, there are, for example, repellent and anti-parasitic collars, pipettes, sprays, drops to be dripped on skin, pills, and other anti-parasitic preparations. Means with a repellent effect also include ultrasound. Ultrasonic devices containing a microchip emit ultrasonic impulses at a frequency of 40 kHz. These impulses are inaudible for humans and animals, dogs, cats, and the like, and disturb and repel parasites within a radius of up to around 3 meters. The preparations on the market can be divided into three main groups: dedicated veterinary preparations, natural preparations (usually based on essential oils), and ultrasonic devices. There are various types of protection for people, for example, repellent impregnations, which repel and kill mosquitoes and ticks; they are intended for the impregnation of clothes, footwear, tents, and the like, with various duration of effectiveness. Various forms are possible, liquids, powders, sprays, creams, pastes, gases, etc. Repellent body oils are also used, their repellent property is based on the fact that biting insects cannot recognise the natural human scent trail. There are also impregnations of similar kind for clothes, footwear, tents, etc., which are intended for protection from rain and humidity, or also providing water resistance (also, for example, rubberised textile). There are also stand-alone ultrasonic devices, for example, in the form of pendants, etc. These devices are used not only when people and animals stay in the countryside or in the field, but also in living areas, workplaces, workshops, storerooms, etc. The above- mentioned means have both advantages and disadvantages. It is their limited effectiveness, frequent need to reapply them, possible allergic reactions, the need for batteries, batteries discharging, etc.
Substance of the invention
The substance of this new invention is to protect humans and animals from insects. Its principle is that any textile fibre product is provided with insect protection, for example, clothes, footwear, headgear, blanket, cloth, synthetic fabric, tarpaulin, tent, and the like, and serves people particularly while they work, stay, relax, or sleep in the wild. The product is provided with one of the preparations against insects, either fully or partially, or is fitted with a refillable protective edge, either fixed or removable, with the possibility of being soaked or filled, and/or a combination of these preparations. The preparations can be of a wide range of active substances, i.e., insecticidal, acaricidal, repellent, and can be made using nanotechnology. The preparation can be replaced by an ultrasonic repeller. The refillable edge with the possibility of being dipped in an active substance or being filled with an active substance gradually releases, e.g., by capillary action, the
active substances from preparations into other parts of the product, which it fills with the active substances or refills already spent active substances. Alternatively, the edge can be equipped with an ultrasonic device. The edge can also be provided with a fluorescent outer surface. The advantage of this practical solution is easier handling of the product, the possibility of cleaning and washing each part separately, i.e., the removed edge as well, the possibility of providing each part of the product with a repellent preparation separately, i.e., the removed edge as well. The separate edge can easily be equipped with an ultrasonic repeller, including changing the batteries.
Clarification of the drawings
A textile fibre product with insect protection based on this technical solution is depicted in the attached drawing in Fig. 1, where it represents an exemplary embodiment for blankets or tarpaulins.
Examples of invention implementation
The textile fibre product 1 with insect protection based according to this invention in the first exemplary embodiment consists of the product 1 itself, which is partially provided with a repellent substance, while at least one first side 2 of one of the constituent surfaces of the product i is fitted with a fixed refillable one-piece edge 3, namely one fillable by soaking. The edge 3 is fitted together with the first side 2 of the constituent surface of the product i with fasteners 4 consisting of press studs. Furthermore, the edge 3 is fitted with at least one filling aperture 5 for filling with substances to repel or kill insects, and the reverse side 8 of the edge 3 facing and connected to the side 2 of the product i is modified to allow permeation of the repellent substance from the edge 3 into the product L
In the second exemplary embodiment, the product itself 1 is not provided with a repellent substance, while at least one first side 2 of at least one of the constituent surfaces of the product i is fitted with a removable, multi-part edge 3, namely one filled by an external apparatus 6. The edge 3 is fitted together with the first side 2 of the constituent surface of the product I with fasteners 4 consisting of hook-and-Ioop fasteners. Furthermore, the edge 3 is fitted with two filling apertures 5 for filling with substances to repel or kill insects. The reverse side 8 of the edge 3 facing and connected to the side 2 of the product i is modified to allow permeation of the substance to repel of kill insects from the edge 3 into the product L
In the third exemplary embodiment, the product itself I is fully provided with a repellent substance, while at least one first side 2 of at least one of the constituent surfaces of the product l is fitted with a fixed, one- piece edge 3 is fitted together with the first side 2 of the constituent surface of the product i with fasteners 4 consisting of stitching combined with glue. The edge 3 is equipped with an ultrasonic repelling device 7.
