Detailed Description of the Invention
The invention relates to a shower system, the height of which may be adjusted instantaneously also after the mounting depending on the user preferences and needs. More particularly, the invention relates to a shower system comprising a fixed portion and a moving portion, which is capable of moving on the fixed portion and which enables to dispense the water for use, wherein it is possible to adjust the movement of the moving portion on the fixed portion and thus the height and direction of the water output being in line with the user preferences and needs.
The shower system according to the invention comprises in its most basic form at least one fixed tube (1), which is fitted to the faucet (10) and which enables the water output from the faucet (10) to be conveyed, and at least one moving tube (2) fixed on the fixed tube (1) and capable of moving on the fixed tube (1), to which the water conveyed by the fixed tube (1) is transferred and via which said water is provided for use.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the connection between the faucet (10) and the fixed tube (1) is achieved via at least one lower body (3). The lower body (3) is fixed on the faucet (10) and provides the connection between the fixed tube (1) and the faucet (10) and the transfer of water from the faucet (10) to the fixed tube (1). At least one union (8) is preferably used for the connection of the fixed tube (1) with the lower body (3).
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the connection between the moving tube (2) and the fixed tube (1) is achieved via at least one upper body (4). The upper body (4) is fixed on the fixed tube (1) using preferably at least one union (8). The moving tube (2) is in turn fixed on the upper body (4) in such a way that is able to freely perform rotational movement.
The rotational movement of the moving tube (2) is provided by the rotational movement of at least one control member (5) located on the lower body (3). The system comprises at least one pulley (6) positioned into the lower body (3), said pulley (6) rotating with the control member (5) as a result of the rotational movement of said control member (5) and transferring the movement necessary for controlling the moving tube (2). The pulley (6) is supported inside the lower body (3) in a manner that it is able to freely rotate. At least one transmission member (7) is utilized for the transfer of the rotational movement of the control member (5). The transmission member (7), which is preferably a belt, is positioned on the pulley (6) and moves depending on the rotation of said pulley (6). The pulley (6) preferably has channels, which the transmission member (7) may engage, and the transmission member (7) is fixed on the said channels. The upper body (4), which provides the connection between the fixed tube (1) and the moving tube (2), similarly includes at least one pulley (6). Said pulley (6) is supported inside the upper body (4) and it is able to freely perform rotational movement. The movement of the pulley (6) within the lower body (3) is transferred via at least one transmission member (7) to the pulley (6) within the upper body (4). More specifically, the transmission member (7) is fixed both to the pulley (6) located within the lower body (3) and to the pulley (6) located within the upper body (4), and in this manner, the pulley (6) located within the upper body (4) is enabled to also rotate as a result of the rotational movement of the pulley (6) located within the lower body (3). The pulley (6) located within the upper body (4) is fixed to the moving tube (2). Consequently, the moving tube (2) is enabled to also rotate as a result of the rotation of the pulley (6) located within the upper body (4).
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the diameter of the pulley (6) located within the lower body (3) is greater than the diameter of the pulley (6) located within the upper body (4) and thus enables easier control over the moving tube (2).
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the fixed tube (1) has, in addition to a first channel through which water is able to pass, a second channel through which the transmission member (7) is able to pass. The transmission member (7), which enables the transfer of the movement of the control member (5) to the moving tube (2) and which provides the connection between the pulley (6) located within the lower body (3) and the pulley (6) located within the upper body (4), moves inside the said second channel.
It is desired that the water being conveyed by the fixed tube (1) advances through the upper body (4) and is transferred to the moving tube (2). For this reason, both the upper body (4) and the pulley (6) located within the upper body (4) comprise at least one water passage opening through which water may flow. The sealing between the upper body (4) and the moving tube (2) is provided preferably by at least one seal (9).
It is desired to prevent the movement of the control member (5) along the horizontal axis, whereas said control member (5) is free to perform rotational movement within the lower body (3). For this purpose, at least one connection member (11) is employed. Said connection member (11) engages in the connection member housing (12) located on the control member (5) to thereby prevent the movement of the control member (5) along the horizontal axis. Similarly, it is desired that the moving tube (2) is able to freely rotate within the upper body (4) while the horizontal movement of said moving tube (2) is prevented. For this reason, the moving tube (2) also comprises at least one connection member housing (12) and the movement of the moving tube (2) along the horizontal axis is prevented by means of at least one connection member (11) engaging in the said connection member housing (12).
A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises at least one water outlet (13) where the water is to be supplied for use via the moving tube (2). The water outlet (13) is positioned at the end section of the moving tube (2) and is able to freely rotate on the said moving tube (2), whereby the flow direction of water may be adjusted according to the user preferences and needs. A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises two water outlets (13) that move independently of one another.
Owing to the shower system with adjustable height according to the invention, it becomes possible to instantaneously adjust the height of a showerhead also after the mounting depending on the user preferences and needs, via a control member (5) disposed at a position proximate to the faucet (10), and in this way, especially the children and the persons with physical impairment who experience difficulty in accessing the showerhead as well as the persons who prefer taking a shower in the sitting position are enabled to easily adjust the height and direction of the water flow at will.
