Description

INDUCTION COOKING DEVICE
The present invention refers to a deconstructed induction cooking device. The term "deconstructed" means that a known type of induction cooking device is split into its components, which are repositioned in such a way as to overcome some drawbacks of the known art.
An induction hob is a type of cooker that uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to heat the pots used for cooking food. Induction cooking devices are equipped with conductive coils in which an alternating electric current is made to flow, at a frequency between 20 kHz and 50 kHz. The lower limit is chosen in order to avoid acoustic emissions in the frequency range perceivable by man, while the upper limit is chosen in order to optimize energy performance.
The alternating electric current flowing in the coils produces a variable magnetic field, according to Faraday's law, and therefore electric currents induced in the conducting bottom of the container placed on the hob, heating it due to the
Joule effect.
Induction cooking devices have powers of 1.5 ÷ 2 kW. This results in the production of heat which must be disposed of by ventilation.
In known induction cooking devices, the power box, i.e. the container in which the coil feeding device is housed, is placed under the cooking surface, with the consequence of considerably increasing the thickness of the entire cooking device. This fact means that when a known induction cooking device is used in the more typical built-in version, it does not fall within the thickness of the top (about 50 ÷ 55 mm). This means that, if you want the hob to be flush with the top, or at least with a thin edge, as required for both aesthetic and practical reasons, it protrudes below, compromising the volume of the casing below.
As a result, the first drawer below the hob must be lower than normal and a shield must be provided due to the excessive heating caused by the hob power supply device.
In addition, ventilation holes must be provided to obtain efficient ventilation for the dissipation of produced heat and the fans themselves are a source of noise.

Al-2 469 190 describe cooking devices according to the preamble of the Claim 1.
Object of the present invention is overcoming at least in part the aforementioned prior art drawbacks.
These object and the consequent advantages of the invention, as will appear from the following description, are obtained with an induction cooking device as claimed in claim 1, which comprises a power box and a cooking hob, said power box being connected to said hob by means of a wiring, and is characterized in that said power box is separated from said hob.
According to a preferred embodiment, the power box is placed inside a kitchen cabinet.
According to another preferred embodiment, said power box is fixed to a wall on which the kitchen rests.
Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variants of the present invention form the subject of the dependent claims.
The separation of the power supply device from the hob allows the creation of very thin hobs entirely contained in the thickness of the top. In addition, the bench has no fans and no holes to dissipate the heat. The arrangement of the power supply device inside a kitchen cabinet gives significant advantages in terms of noise reduction. In fact, in known devices, the noise is emanated by the fans necessary to cool the power components. In the case of the invention, the fans are in the power box which, if it is housed under the counter, is effectively silenced.
It is understood that all the attached claims form an integral part of the present description. It will be immediately obvious that innumerable variations and modifications (for example relating to shape, dimensions, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) can be made to what is described without departing from the scope of the invention as appears from the attached claims.
The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments, provided by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the attached drawings, in which: Figure 1 shows the components of an induction cooking device according to the present invention;
- Figures 2 (a, b, c) show possible configurations of the induction cooking device according to the present invention;
- Figures 3 (a, b, c) show other possible configurations of the induction cooking device according to the present invention; - Figures 4 (a, b) show two variations of fixing a hinged hob.
Referring to FIG. 1, (1) designates an induction device according to the present invention. This induction device (1) substantially comprises a power box (2) of a known type, and a hob, also of a known type, which can be countertop
(3) or built-in (4). The power box (2), which contains a device for feeding the conductive coils, is connected to said countertop hob (3) or with said recessed hob (4) by means of a wiring (2a).
A first preferred embodiment of the invention, shown in FIG. 2, provides that the power box (2) is fixed to a wall (5) on which the cooker rests and is coupled to a hob (3) of the countertop type, shown in FIGS. 2a and 2b, or of the built-in type (4), shown in FIG. 2c.
In particular, in FIG. 2a shows, by means of a side view, that said hob (3) can be overturned and can assume the position (3a), when it is folded upwards, so as to leave the space below free, or the position (3b), when it is placed on the top (6) of the cabinet.
The rotation of the support hob (3) takes place around an axis pin (x) mounted on a support (7).
A second preferred embodiment of the invention, shown in FIG. 3, provides that the power box (2) is placed inside the kitchen cabinet and is coupled to a countertop type hob (3), shown in FIGS. 3a and 3b, or of the built-in type (4), shown in FIG. 3c.
Similarly to the previous case, FIG. 3a shows the hob (3) in the two positions (3a) and (3b).
In FIG. 4 shows two possible variants of the case of FIG. 2, in which the power box (2) is fixed to the wall (5) and is coupled with a hinged hob (3).
In particular, in the case of FIG. 4a, the support (7) of the rotation axis (x) is fixed to the top (6) by means of through screws (8), while in the case of FIG. 4b the support (7) of the axis (x) is fixed to the power box (2) by means of an angular element (9) and screws (10). In this second case, drilling of the top (6) is not required.
