Abstract
An energy provision system is provided, comprising an energy carrier medium provision device (14) which provides an energy carrier medium with a provision pressure, an energy provision device (16) which, using the energy carrier medium, provides electrical energy for utilization, a pressure-reducing device (36) for reducing the provision pressure of the energy carrier medium to a working pressure or working pressure range of the energy provision device (16), and an expansion device (38) which is assigned to the pressure-reducing device (36) and which performs an expansion of the energy carrier medium for the purposes of pressure reduction and provides, for utilization, energy that is released during the expansion.
