Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a flexible coupling and elastic torsionimenie, and, more specifically, to a flexible coupling of easy assembly and disassembly.
  • Flexible and torsionally elastic couplings allow joining two shaft faces, accommodating radial, axial and angular misalignments that occur in each assembly.
  • a flexible and torsionally elastic coupling comprises hubs with jaws with elastic elements arranged radially between the jaws. It is these elastic elements that help to absorb misalignments, shocks and vibrations from machines whose axes are joined (ie, the driving machine or the driven machine).
  • One of the inconveniences generated by couplings of this type is related to the operations necessary for the assembly and disassembly of the coupling, for example, in case of need for maintenance of the driving or driven machines, or even in the replacement of the coupling parts.
  • to dismantle the coupling it is necessary to move at least one of the machines and lift the coupling, which requires complex and costly operations.
  • the present invention contemplates a flexible coupling of the type comprising two coupling hubs, each of the hubs being configured for mounting on a respective shaft to be coupled, in which at least one of the hubs is completely sectioned with a cross section , forming a first cube section and a second cube section.

  • a plurality of shear pins can be used.

  • This locking coating is preferably a locking coating 8.
