Definitions

  • This disclosure is generally directed to toilet equipment and more particularly to a toilet lid with a decorated surface and a toilet seat.
  • Toilet seats have existed in various forms for many decades. Usually, they comprise a seating board having a circumferential seating surface around a hole that is substantially positioned in the middle and matches the aperture of the toilet bowl.
  • the seating board provides a surface on which the occupant can sit comfortably.
  • such toilet seats often comprise a lid, which may cover the seating board and thus provide a protective cover for both the seating board and the toilet bowl aperture.
  • toilet lids and seats made of plastic materials may be fabricated in various shapes and sizes though injection and or compression molding, the choice of material renders these products expensive.
  • Toilet seats primarily made of wooden materials can only be cost-efficiently manufactured in a limited variety of shapes.
  • only a small proportion of toilet seats available on the market have adorned or decorated surfaces.
  • the choice of material for the toilet lid and seat further limits the types of embellishments that may be utilized.
  • toilet lids can be adorned with silk-screen printing, hand painting, water-transfer printing, heat transfer printing, and the like. These techniques lead to toilet lids having a plain surface. Therefore, there is a need for a durable toilet lid having a thin and more vivid appearance, which is also cost-efficient to manufacture and that can be provided with a wide range of embellishments and visual appearances.
  • the invention provides a toilet lid capable of being connected to a toilet seat, the toilet lid may comprise a core structural layer having a shape and size associated with the toilet lid. Furthermore, the toilet lid may comprise a first decorative graphic layer disposed on a first surface of the core structural layer, wherein the first decorative graphic layer may comprise at least one of an image, graphic, text, picture and/or a plain color.
