Detailed description
In the following description of the figures 1 -4C same reference signs designate for respective, parts, elements, components etc. unless otherwise mentioned and it should be understood that the example is susceptible of modification in order to adapt to different usages and conditions.
In the FIG.1 is presented one preferred embodiment of the invention as a side view. The multi-function hair device 1 has a brushing section 2 on the first end 3 of the device and handle 4 on the second end 5 of the device. The brushing section 2 has a receiving slot 6 (marked with dash line) where the elastic cushion 7 with bristle is attached. The elastic cushion 7 is clamped at a receiving slot 6 of the multi-function hair device 1 . The total area of the elastic cushion 7 is slightly greater than the area of the receiving slot 6 of the multi function hair device. One of the end surfaces of the elastic cushion 7 may be arched into an arc shape and the other end surface is naturally formed into a corresponding arc recession. In this embodiment the elastic cushion 7 is removable but the elastic cushion can also be fixed structure. The bristle is not shown in the FIG. 1 . The bristle is attachable to the brushing section 2 and/or to the cushion 7 known as such to one skilled in the art. The handle 4 is flat in a plane perpendicular to the figure plane (the paper plane) and tapered slightly towards the second end 5 of the multi-function hair device 1 for more easier way of parting the hair. The thickness of the handle 4 in flatness direction at the thickest part is 4 - 8 mm, advantageously 5 - 7 mm. The thickness of the handle 4 in flatness direction at the narrowest part is 0,5 - 3,5 mm, advantageously 1 - 2 mm. The end of the handle 4 at the second end 5 is also advantageously rounded so that the parting of the hair is more pleasant.
In the FIG. 2 is presented a top view of the multi-function hair device of FIG. 1 . The multi-function hair device 1 has a brushing section 2 on the first end 3 of the device and handle 4 on the second end 5 of the device. The brushing section 2 has a receiving slot 6 where the elastic cushion 7 with the bristle is attached. The bristle is not shown in the FIG. 2. The bristle is attachable to the brushing section 2 and/or to the cushion 7 known as such to one skilled in the art. The handle 4 is triangular shaped in the plane of the figure (the paper) and tapered towards the end of the handle 4. The end of the handle 4 is also advantageously substantially sharp so that the styling properties of the handle are improved. The end of the handle 4 may also be rounded so that the parting of the hair is more pleasant. The triangular shaped handle 4 has a substantially triangular shaped opening 8. The short side of the triangular shaped opening 8 can also be designed to form an arc 9. The opening 8 is used as a hair loop for making a hairstyle. The opening 8 has advantageously rounded corners 10 so that the hair does not stick to the corners of the opening
8. The structure of the handle 4 around the opening thus forms the frame of the hair loop.
It is obvious that the shape of the opening 8 can also be of other shape than the one presented in the FIG. 2. The opening is big enough for the bundle of hair to be pulled through it when the hairstyle is made, and it does not have any substantially sharp corners where the hair could stick when the hair loop is used. Other suitable shapes are for example ellipse, circle or polygon with advantageously rounded corners. The length of the opening 8 is 30 - 110 mm, advantageously of 50 - 90 mm and most advantageously of 60 - 80 mm. The size of the opening 8 is defined by the usability of the handle 4: if the size of the opening is too big at same time the size of the handle will be too big to hold in the hand of the user. The width of the opening 8 at its widest point is between 10 - 30 mm, advantageously 15 - 25 mm and most advantageously 20 - 22 mm.
Between the handle 4 and the brushing section 2 there is advantageously a narrowing 11. This narrowing 11 can be used as a storage place for the hairbands used for making for example ponytails.
FIG. 3 is a partial view of one preferred embodiment of the multi-function hair device 1. In this embodiment the handle 4 has a metal wire 12 assembled inside the structure of handle surrounding the opening 8. The use of the metal wire 12 is for strengthening the structure of the frame of the hair loop.
FIG. 4a presents yet another preferred embodiment of the multi-function hair device 1 . In this embodiment on the first end 3 of the multi-function hair device 1 is placed two separate elastic cushion 7 with the bristle to the opposite sides of the multi-function hair device 1 . This makes it possible to use different type of bristle in the same multi-function hair device 1 .
FIG. 4b presents yet another preferred embodiment of the multi-function hair device 1 . In this embodiment at the first end 3 of the multi-function hair device 1 is placed a combing section 13. The combing section 13 can have teeth 14 selected up to the preferences of the user. In this embodiment there is no storage place for the rubber bands, but it is obvious that this kind of narrowing can be made between the handle 4 and the combing section 13.
FIG. 4c presents yet another preferred embodiment of the multi-function hair device 1. In this embodiment on the first end 3 of the multi-function hair device 1 is placed cylindrical brushing section 15 which are typically used to style hair with blow-dryer. The handle 4 is narrowing towards the cylindrical brushing section 15 and before the cylindrical brushing section there is a stopper 16 which keeps the rubber bands apart from the cylindrical brushing section. The stopper 16 can be for example a plate, a small rod or such. The multi-function hair device 1 can be made of common materials typically plastic, metal or wood. The teeth and the bristle for the device can be selected from any known type of teeth or bristle.
In the description in the foregoing, although some functions and elements have been described with reference to certain features, those functions and elements may be performable by other features whether described or not. Although features have been described with reference to certain embodiments or examples, those features may also be present in other embodiments or examples whether described or not. Above the invention has been described by referring to some advantageous examples only, to which the invention is not to be narrowly limited. Many modifications and alterations are possible within the inventive idea.
