Description

WALL CONVERTIBLE WARDROBE WITH FRONT EXTRACTION
OPENING SYSTEM
DESCRIPTION
SCOPE OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a wardrobe and, more specifically, to a wall convertible wardrobe with front extraction opening system.
The object of the invention, more specifically consists of a wardrobe comprising a movable opening/closing shelf wall facing and movably coupled to a fixed shelf wall, so as to provide two internal compartments which can be mutually closed together with high containment capacity and reduced overall dimensions, laterally accessible between the aforementioned shelf walls when the latter are spaced apart in an opening position of said wardrobe.
More specifically, the wardrobe is configured to generate, between said shelf walls in said open position, an environment suitable for changing clothes with ample access to said compartments.
STATE OF THE ART
As is well known, the wardrobe or closet is a piece of furniture with doors, possibly with shelves and drawers, in which clothes or other objects are stored.
The state of the art proposes a wide variety of types of wardrobes, with multiple morphological, aesthetic and dimensional characteristics designed to respond to multiple space and utility requirements.
Traditional wardrobes have a "static" structure, i.e. with a constitution that is functionally non-convertible or adaptable, which leads to limitations with regard to their field of application.
To remedy these limitations, the prior art also proposes wardrobes with a convertible structure, which by adapting to certain functional requirements partially remedy the above drawbacks.
More specifically, the wardrobes with a convertible structure according to the state of the art absolve the function of using the surrounding space in an adaptable manner to assume an extended or extra-functional configuration supporting the main function of the furniture, for example making a desk from the internal compartment of the same or providing an ironing board, or a foldaway bed. However, although the prior art proposes a multitude of adaptive solutions, it does not provide a convertible wardrobe capable of generating an environment suitable for changing clothes, i.e. an area in which the user can seclude himself and change clothes with discretion, having direct access to the inner compartments of the wardrobe.
Given the ever-diminishing size of rooms, it is often impossible to set up in the bedroom, or in other domestic or office environments, a private area for use as a changing room which would be very useful if not, in certain cases, absolutely necessary.
There is therefore a need for a wardrobe, or closet, with a variable structure, which, if necessary, can be transformed so as to create an area out of sight where one can undress and change clothes discreetly, directly accessing the contents of the wardrobe, similar to an environment of the changing room.
There is therefore a need for a convertible wardrobe that in a closed configuration occupies, for the same storage capacity, preferably less space compared to a traditional wardrobe, and especially that in an open configuration, temporarily using the space in front of it, opens in such a way as to generate an environment in the form of a changing room, suitable for changing clothes.
This having been said, it is clear that the solutions of the prior art do not provide a convertible piece of furniture that can be operatively modified in order to create an environment suitable for changing clothes, with direct access to the internal compartments of the wardrobe.
In the light of the above, therefore, the need to overcome the aforementioned technical drawbacks of the state of the art by providing a convertible, multifunctional wardrobe that can also act as a screen, which is practical to use and designed to optimise space management, is clear.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a convertible wardrobe with front extraction opening system. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a convertible, efficient and functional wardrobe characterized in that it has a dynamic structure configured to generate, as needed, a closed environment suitable to undress and change clothes with direct access to the contents of the wardrobe itself, the assembly providing high storage capacity with minimum occupation of space for optimal space management.
A further purpose of the invention is to provide a technical solution that allows a multifunctional wardrobe to be made which is relatively simple to manufacture, highly versatile, reliable and durable.
The purpose of the present invention is also to provide a practical and safe multifunctional wardrobe, characterized in that it comprises two shelf walls that are movably connected and facing each other, comprising two respective compartments accessible in an open configuration. A further purpose of the present invention is to provide a convertible wardrobe that is easy to use and adopts cost- effective technical solutions that are easy to implement. These and other purposes are substantially achieved by a convertible wardrobe according to the present invention.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Further features and advantages will appear more evident from the appended drawings wherein:
- Fig. 1: shows in perspective view an embodiment illustrating the convertible wardrobe of the present invention, in an open configuration;
- Fig. 2 schematically shows a side view of the wardrobe according to the invention;
- Fig. 3 illustrates in detail an embodiment of the connection means (30) of the wardrobe according to the invention;
- Fig. 4 shows, in a further perspective view, two shelf walls of the wardrobe according to the invention.
The convertible wardrobe of the invention shown in the figures as above, offers an important remedy to the problems and drawbacks discussed.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE
INVENTION
The innovation will now be illustrated with the following description of a preferred embodiment, made by way of a non limiting example, with reference to the drawings in the appended figures. In accordance with the above, the object of the invention envisages a convertible wardrobe 100 with a front extraction opening system comprising a movable shelf wall 10 axially opposite and movably coupled to a fixed shelf wall 20, with the latter (20) designed to be fixed to the wall to stabilize the wardrobe 100 in position.
More specifically, according to the invention, it is envisaged that the aforementioned movable 10 and fixed 20 walls are dynamically connected to each other by axially extensible connection means 30, so that the movable wall 10 can be spaced parallel to the wall or brought to abut against the fixed wall 20.
With regard more specifically to said connection means 30, they serve the purpose of connecting the movable wall 10 and the fixed wall 20 of the wardrobe 100 to each other, performing the function of adjusting the extraction or retraction movement of said movable wall 10 keeping it axially aligned and parallel to the fixed wall 20.
Even more particularly, the aforementioned movable wall 10 is, with respect to the aforementioned fixed wall 20, frontally translatable between an extracted open position and a retracted closed position corresponding respectively to an open position (shown in fig. 1) and to a closed position (not illustrated for simplicity) of the aforementioned wardrobe 100.
More specifically, the aforementioned movable wall 10 and the aforementioned fixed wall 20 comprise, at two respective load sides 11 and 21 facing each other, two respective inner containment compartments inside said wardrobe 100, with at least one such compartment comprising compartments and/or shelves for storing and/or hanging clothes and other objects.
The wardrobe 100 according to the invention is characterized in that the aforementioned movable wall 10 comprises a central opening 12, which identifies a preferably inverted U-shaped profile of said movable wall 10, suitable to allow a user direct partial access to the respective compartment inside the aforementioned fixed wall 20 and the opening, by manual traction of the movable wall 10 from an internal region thereof, of the aforementioned wardrobe 100.
It is also envisaged that when the wardrobe 100 according to the invention is in an open position, the above mentioned movable 10 and fixed 20 shelf walls are mutually spaced in such a way as to generate a median area suitable for changing clothes, with each of said compartments operatively accessible between the aforementioned shelf walls 10 and 20. In a variant of the invention, the movable wall 10 and the fixed wall 20 are configured to generate, together with each other, a single internal compartment of said wardrobe 100 when the latter (100) is in the closed position.
More specifically, as regards the aforesaid axially extensible connection means 30, they are either internally or externally positioned between the aforesaid walls 10 and 20 at two opposite sides, and optionally at a top side, of the aforementioned wardrobe 100.
Preferably, according to the invention, at least one of the above mentioned axially extensible connection means comprises at least one respective longitudinal element 33 (shown in fig. 3) configured to extend or retract, by axial translation, in response to a horizontal extraction or retraction movement of the aforementioned movable wall 10 in relation to the aforementioned fixed wall 20.
Even more preferably, according to the invention, at least one predetermined axially extensible connection means 30 of the above, comprises at least two respective crossed rods 31 and 32, pivotally hinged to each other at a respective pivot point 30', to form a deformable connection assembly (illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2). With regard more specifically to the aforementioned at least two respective rods 31 and 32, these are movably and jointly connected at the ends to the aforementioned movable wall 10 and to the aforementioned fixed wall 20 so as to allow a reciprocal translation of said rods 31 and 32, and consequently an extension or an axial retraction of the aforesaid assembly, of the aforesaid at least one predetermined means of connection 30, in response to a horizontal extraction or retraction movement of the movable wall 10 with respect to the fixed wall 20.
This technical front extraction opening solution according to the invention, advantageously provides a wardrobe which is convertible so as to assume a position such as to generate an out of sight environment suitable for changing clothes, dynamically using the available space that otherwise in environments of limited surface area or volume would not permit a permanent changing room area to be set up.
In accordance with the above, substantially, the wardrobe according to the invention can be opened by means of frontal extraction, and similarly closed by retraction, of the movable shelf wall 10, so as to create a lateral access to two compartments comprised between said two walls 10 and 20, such compartments, preferably each comprising respective shelves and/or compartments (including clothes hangers) in which to store clothing or other objects.
The opening and closing of the wardrobe, by way of non limiting example, can be carried out by direct manual traction of the aforesaid movable wall 10, directly accessing the internal compartment of the aforesaid fixed wall 20 through the opening 12 of said movable wall 10 , or by means of special gripping means (not shown for simplicity) such as handles placed, for example, on the side of the movable wall 10 or, alternatively, by means of electromechanical actuators (not illustrated for simplicity) which when activated by the user implement the respective mechanical extraction or retraction movement of the movable wall 10.
In addition to the above, it is envisaged that the wardrobe 100 according to the invention comprises at the bottom means of rotation or linear guidance means, e.g. swivel castors or modular bar roller tracks (not shown for simplicity), mounted underneath to a base of the aforementioned movable wall 10 so as to considerably reduce the grazing friction in the extraction or retraction direction of said wall 10, thus facilitating the surface sliding and thus the horizontal movement of the latter (10).
According to the above, the wardrobe of the present invention can advantageously be used in cases where it is necessary to create a single room for wardrobe and dressing room use in a small space, and where a wardrobe with high functional versatility with optimized management of the interior compartments is required.
The technical solution according to the present invention provides a highly functional and efficient convertible wardrobe, which offers an important remedy to the aforementioned problems encountered in the prior art.
In addition, the expedients and elements described above can be easily implemented at industrial level as they require technical solutions, materials and technologies easily available and applicable on the market.
