Description
本发明涉及一种显示器,尤其涉及一种具有条形像素定义层的显示器。
喷墨打印的加工方法能高效利用材料,适合制备大面积显示面板。参见图1,图1为当前普遍采用的传统面板100的像素设计示意图,其为肩靠肩(side-by-side,
SBS)设计,即每个像素110由独立的子像素111规律排列而成,子像素111之间由像素定义层120相互隔离开。一般喷墨打印像素的尺寸大小约为200 um * 200 um(取决于屏幕尺寸和分辨率),子像素要求则更小,喷墨打印的墨滴直径约为30 um。对于喷墨打印而言,对这样的像素进行打印则要求打印机具有极高的打印精度、移动精度和精准的墨滴控制能力,不容许出现相邻像素内墨水出现误打印、漏打印、墨水桥联的现象,否则将导致膜厚不均匀,发光层打印时桥连将出现混色问题。四倍全高清分辨率的子像素数量为3940*2160*3个,在千万级别以上。即使百万分之一的打印异常概率亦将导致整个面板的坏点像素数超出通常规格容许范围(≤3个),所以传统面板的SBS像素设计理念很难满足高分辨率的面板制备需求。
为了解决制备传统面板时像素打印不精准的问题,亟需开发一种可提高打印的成功率的新像素设计,其具有较大的像素定义层开口,扩大打印区域,以解决目前对墨滴着弹精度和墨滴控制系统要求严苛的情况,提高打印的成功率。
有鉴于此,本发明提供一种显示器,包括一种崭新的像素设计,将长轴或者短轴方向上部分像素合并,形成条形像素定义层开口,藉此扩大打印区域,以解决目前对墨滴着弹精度和墨滴控制系统要求严苛的情况,提高了打印的成功率。
据此,依据本发明的一实施例,本发明提供了一种显示器,其特征在于,包括:像素定义层,具有多个条形开口,所述多个条形开口至少排成两列或至少排成两行且彼此平行;以及多个子像素,其中至少两个相邻的所述子像素配置于每一个所述条形开口中。
在本发明的一实施例中,所述像素定义层为一层、双层、或多层结构。
在本发明的一实施例中,所述多个条形开口的延伸方向皆沿着显示器的短轴方向。
在本发明的一实施例中,所述多个条形开口的延伸方向皆沿着显示器的长轴方向。
在本发明的一实施例中,配置于同一个条状开口中的至少两个相邻的所述子像素为同行相邻的子像素或同列相邻的子像素,且两个相邻的所述子像素的颜色相同或相异。在本发明的一实施例中,所述显示器在像述定义层下方更包括:基板;多个电极,位于所述基板之上,其中所述条形开口露出所述多个电极。
在本发明的一实施例中,所述显示器更包括:多个薄膜晶体管,设置于所述多个电极与所述基板之间。
在本发明的一实施例中,所述显示器更包括多个条形像素,其中所述多个条形像素中之一者是由所述多个子像素中至少两个相邻的子像素所构成,所述多个条形像素至少排列成两列且彼此平行。

根据本发明的一实施例,在步骤S10中,利用刻蚀开槽所述像素定义层,使所述像素定义层具有多个条形开口以露出位于所述像素定义层下方的多个电极;以及在步骤S20中,利用喷墨打印制程将多个子像素喷涂于所述多个条行开口中。

图2为依据本发明一实施例之显示器的像素设计示意图。如图2所示,具体而言,依据本发明之一实施例的显示器200,包括:像素定义层220,其中所述像素定义层220具有多个条形开口221,所述多个条形开口221至少排成两列且彼此平行;以及多个子像素211,其中至少两个相邻的所述子像素211配置于多一个所述条形开口221中。在本实施例中,所述多个条形开口221的延伸方向皆沿着显示器200的长轴方向Y。
继续参见图2,在本实施例中,所述显示器200更包括多个条形像素210,其中所述多个条形像素210中之一者是由所述多个子像素211中至少两个相邻的子像素所构成,所述多个条形像素210至少排列成两列且彼此平行。
如图2所示,在本发明的一实施例中,配置于同一个条状开口221中的所述至少两个相邻的所述子像素211为同列相邻的子像素211,且两个相邻的所述子像素211的颜色相同。
图3为依据本发明另一实施例之显示器的像素设计示意图。如图3所示,具体而言,依据本发明之一实施例的显示器300,包括:像素定义层320,具有多个条形开口321,所述多个条形开口321至少排成两行且彼此平行;以及多个子像素311,其中至少两个相邻的所述子像素311配置于多一个所述条形开口321中。在本实施例中,所述多个条形开口321的延伸方向皆沿着显示器300的短轴方向X。
继续参见图3,在本实施例中,所述多个条形开口321分别对应至多个条形像素310中之一者,其中所述多个条形像素310中之一者是由所述多个子像素311中至少两个相邻的子像素所构成,所述多个条形像素310至少排列成两行且彼此平行。
如图3所示,在本发明的一实施例中,配置于同一个条状开口321中的所述至少两个相邻的所述子像素311为同行相邻的子像素311,且两个相邻的所述子像素311的颜色相同。
虽然在上述实施例中,仅以配置于同一个条状开口中的所述两个相邻的所述子像素的颜色相同作为示例,然在本发明的其他实施例中,亦可配置两个以上彼此邻接的子画素于同一个条状开口中;且该等彼此邻接的子画素彼此颜色可相同或相异,而不限于图式所示。
参见图4,图4为依据本发明的一实施例的显示器结构示意图。如图4所示,依据本发明之一实施例的显示器400,包括:基板401;多个电极402,位于所述基板401之上;像素定义层420,位于所述多个电极402之上,其中所述像素定义层420具有多个条形开口421,其中所述多个条形开口421露出所述多个电极402。所述像素定义层420可具有如图2中多个沿着显示器的长轴方向延伸的条形开口或如图3中多个沿着显示器的短轴方向延伸的条形开口。
继续参见图4,在本发明的一实施例中,所述显示器更包括:多个薄膜晶体管403,设置于所述多个电极402与所述基板401之间。
虽然上述实施例中的像素定义层仅以一层结构示例,但在本发明其他实施例中,所述像素定义层具体可为一层、双层、或多层结构。
在本发明的一实施例中,所述基板可为硬性基板(例如玻璃基板)或柔性基板(例如聚酰亚胺(polyimide,PI)衬底),亦可为其他基板材料而不限于上述举例。
在本发明的一实施例中,所述像素定义层包括一有机材料。
在本发明的一实施例中,所述有机材料包括下列至少一者:聚酰亚胺、亚克力、以及酚醛树脂。
参见图3,本发明还提供了一种显示器300的制备方法,其特征在于,包括:

- 一种显示器,包括:像素定义层,具有多个条形开口,所述多个条形开口至少排成两列或至少排成两行且彼此平行;以及多个子像素,其中至少两个相邻的所述子像素配置于每一个所述条形开口中,其中所述多个条形开口的延伸方向皆沿着显示器的短轴方向或长轴方向,以及其中所述像素定义层为一层、双层、或多层结构。
- 根据权利要求1所述的显示器,更包括多个条形像素,其中所述多个条形像素中之一者是由所述多个子像素中至少两个相邻的子像素所构成,所述多个条形像素至少排列成两列或两行且彼此平行。
- 根据权利要求1所述的显示器,其中配置于同一个条状开口中的至少两个相邻的所述子像素为同行相邻的子像素或同列相邻的子像素。
