 また本発明の初期段階に検討していた下肢等の片側用の固定装置を両側で用いる場合には、一体ずつ取り付ける必要があった。本実施形態1に係る機能性部材を有する固定装置10は、この手間を解消し、両脚の同部位への使用を一回の設置操作で可能にしている。
 以上から、本実施形態1に係る機能性部材を有する固定装置10を使用することによって、粘着性の素材や、第三者の助力や技能を使用することなく、誰でも気軽に機能性部材を両側の下肢等の所望の体の対象部位に固定することが可能となる。

 また図3(b)に示す如く、両脚の間隔を広くとった状態(L2)では、両脚における大腿部の間に中央重り部材上昇するが、機能性部材7,8の大腿部の対象部位への設置面積が不十分な場合、両脚の間隔を狭くした状態(図3(a)のL1)にすることで設置面積や当接部の固定圧力の調整が可能である。このような作用によって、本実施形態1に係る機能性部材を有する固定装置10を使用することによって、現在使用されている固定方法における手間が大幅に省略される。すなわち、同一使用者の足の径の変化や、足の径の異なる使用者が使用する場合も、両脚の間隔を調整することによって当接部分の設置面積や固定圧力を簡便に調整することが可能となり、誰でも気軽に機能性部材を所望の対象接触部位に簡単に固定することが可能となる。

 更に上述の実施例1の検討で用いた固定装置用計測モデルの円筒(外径14cm)を細い円筒(外径11.4cm)に入れ替え、円筒の間隔を調整した計測モデルを用いた検討において、重りを4つ用いた実施例において、上述の追加検証と同様に円筒前面と側面の一部への圧力と接触面積の改善を認めた。
 以上から、固定装置をヒトの大腿を模した円筒上面に置く場合、固定装置の作用部位の円筒前面~側面の一部の表面の被作用部位への十分な接触面積と固定を確保するには、実施例1を基本構造とする固定装置を使用することで達成することができることが分かった。
