Abstract

This system recovers the heat energy from the exhaust gas by means of an absorption refrigeration system via a plurality of heat exchangers and uses this energy to manage the temperature of the intake air (1), by heating the intake air (1) during the starting of the engine until it reaches its optimum operating temperature, and also to cool the intake air (1) in order to increase its efficiency by reducing its specific consumption, the system being equipped with an electrical compressor (5) mounted in series with the generator of the absorption system so as to increase its cooling efficiency and also give it a heat transfer capacity in order to replace the EGR system with the aid of a bypass valve that makes it possible to transmit the high-temperature refrigerant directly to the evaporator without passing through the condenser.
