Description

TITLE
METHOD FOR ELECTRONICALLY CHECKING AND MANAGING PAYMENTS
AND DATA STORAGE
Technical field
The present invention relates to the technical field of electronic devices for managing and storing data and personal documents.
In particular, the invention relates to an innovative method and relative equipment capable of readily enabling to manage potential deadlines, for example related to accounting, which can be readily be paid or in any case electronically settled, keeping at the same time a complete and organized storage of all the personal data of interest.
Brief outline of the prior art
Every day the single user has to manage much information and data that can derive from the own banks, domestic utilities and other fields such as medical and/or mobile and landline telephone expenses.
All data are often fragmentary, because they are managed individually by the specific company and are electronically accessible through the registration on specific websites.
Therefore, to have access to a part of these data, it is necessary to register to the website to have access to a specific user area for accessing them and carry on the relative operations.
An example can be an online registration to the websites of post, the income revenue agency, as well as to the website of the Automobile Club.
Generally speaking, all services to the citizen, meaning not only the administration but also the issue of bills in general, is computerized and accessible on the Internet .
Bills related to mobile telephony (telephone utilities) are for example managed by the specific company and this obviously requires the user to access reserved areas of the company itself.
The health cards, and relative deadlines, are instead managed by the municipalities and, even in this case, it is possible to have access to the own data after registering in a special site with the own credentials.
The same applies to the revenue agency for a verification of the own tax position.
These are just some of the examples of subscriptions to sites belonging to specific institutions and from which it is possible to download personal documents, check deadlines and/or make payments.
It is evident the drawback of having to make multiple registrations, having to remember multiple access passwords and, in any case, the information is incomplete and not coordinated with each other.
In any case, the user is required to keep a precise record of all deadlines.
Moreover, as mentioned above, there is a strong fragmentation of sites intended each one for a different service and this makes difficult and hardly controllable for the user to manage the own deadlines and to store or monitor the own documents. In fact, it is necessary to manage a large number of different websites, to access many of these sites with relative access passwords that are difficult to keep (due the large number of reserved areas to which we are forced to register) .
Definitively, all our private areas have a strong fragmentation, sector by sector, with a great difficulty in being capable of regularly keeping everything under control correctly.
In the specific event of payment of bills of domestic utilities, this can also be done automatically by requesting a debit to the account. However, also in this event, this operation is not very flexible because it requires not only the arrangement of modules to the bank but, in the event of errors in the bill, the bank in any case provides for the payment, thus creating a potential economic damage for the owner of the bill. In brief, according to this method, it is not possible to view the bill, which in any case is paid and which can only be contested afterwards in the event of errors.
Moreover, this system is subject to possible frauds with forged bills, thus deceiving the subject and/or even the bank.
For example, the publication W02016/131084 is known that describes a payment system through a software in which a centralized system electronically acquires the document, for example a scanned payment slip and enables the payment .
However, this system requires a specific transmission of the electronic document that a user has to carry out in the specific user area using this system. This operation is less flexible and last but not least, the system does not enable to monitor deadlines.
The publication US2013/0041909 is also known that represents the preamble of claim 1.
This publication describes a software system which enables the user to create an own organized database of documents and deadlines.
However, also in this case, documents have to be uploaded by the user or can be received through the forwarding by email of another user. Exactly as in the case mentioned above this operation is not very easy.
Moreover, the system does not provide warnings for deadlines . Summary of the invention
Therefore, the aim of the present invention is to provide an innovative method and related system, which enables to resolve said technical drawbacks.
Therefore, the aim of the present invention is to provide an innovative method and relative system, which enables to readily and uniformly storage and manage data, thus enabling the dynamic control of one's own documentary overview and keeping the storage over the years.
In particular, the aim of the present invention is to provide a method and related system, capable of managing one's own personal data, deadlines, bank accounts, fidelity cards and managing the document storage in dynamic, simply and easily accessible manner, so as to avoid the data fragmentation otherwise hardly manageable.
Another aim of the present invention is to provide a method and related system, which acquires the documents to be stored and is capable of managing deadlines in fully automatized manner.
Therefore, these and other aims are achieved with the present method for creating and/or managing an electronic database, according to claim 1.
Said method comprises the phases of:
Arrangement of a main server (2) equipped with a suitable processor capable of generating a personal electronic storage for each user;
Therefore, an access to this main server (2) through the Internet is provided, the server generating an electronic area for storing and/or managing electronic data . The access can envisage, as usual, the creation of one's own area with credentials for the registration, such as username and password;
Insertion by a user of a request for storing and/or managing of one or more specific electronic documents .
The user can insert one or more types of documents that he wishes to enter into the management of this platform, such as the electricity bill and/or other types of consumptions.
The user can insert documents time after time as required, therefore each time he wishes to add additional documents to be inserted and managed through this platform.
Once this kind of documents to be classified have been inserted, they are permanently stored but they can be deleted if required.
For example, if the user interrupts a utility with an electricity supplier, he can delete this utility in the system 2.
For this purpose, according to the invention, the main server (2) communicates with one or more external servers (l...n) deputed to the generation of said predetermined electronic document associated with the demanding user and whose management is demanded by the user, so as to receive it electronically through the Internet and store it electronically within the dedicated area thereof.
The server (2) is further programmed to electronically analyze said electronic document in order to extract one or more datum/data related to it.
In this way, through this analysis, the document can be correctly stored and potential information related to it can be extracted and processed, for example a deadline of a payment or another operation.
In this manner, the system can process an alert which indicates the deadline.
For example, if the user wishes to manage the electrical utility, the server will connect to the deputed server downloading the specific utility relative to the demanding user.
By now, all the utilities are computerized and, as mentioned above, already available in deputed websites in electronic format.
However, they are neither classified in a single storage nor there is an alert system capable of reminding the deadline and enabling a payment in the same software field .
In this way, according to this method, it is possible to enter into an own dedicated area of said platform and insert data identifying the utilities that one wishes to manage automatically.
The server will periodically connect with the external servers deputed to issue these utilities for downloading, memorizing and processing them in order to extract data such as a deadline of a payment or other information .
In this way, the platform is not only readily capable of automatically organizing all the utilities, thus generating a storage which is automatically uploaded, but also capable of generating said "alert" concerning the payment to be made, also enabling the payment.
This system practically enables to automatically and methodically manage all the deadlines, besides enabling to reduce the risk of frauds with false utilities.
Advantageously, it is provided a phase of identification or recognition of the electronic document present in the server which generates it and associated to the requesting user.
In this way, for each user, the platform is capable of electronically download the correct requested utilities associated to the demanding user, this avoiding errors in downloading documents belonging to other demanding subjects .

In this manner, the system automatically detects a deadline and the user can make the payment.
Advantageously, said operation of electronic analysis of said electronic document is carried out by a process of optical character recognition (OCR) .
In addition to the OCR system, other equivalent recognition systems may be used.
Advantageously, the operation of payment is made by dragging the document into a deputed electronic payment area generated by the server (2) in which a document of electronic payment electronically is generated and forwarded to a designated external server deputed to make said payment.
In brief, the document can be dragged with the mouse towards a payment icon. This operation generates a document of electronic payment which is automatically forwarded to the server of a designated bank initialized and indicated by the user.
The user has obviously the faculty of indicating more banks in the server 2.
By means of the processor, the server processes data for the connection with the deputed bank in order to make the payment.

If the processing highlights a deadline, a payment for example, then an alert is generated. The action of communicating with the external server is cyclically repeated over time.
Description of some preferred embodiments
The present invention concerns a software system for managing data.
According to the invention, a server system is provided, for example a main server 2, that is reachable by all users through the Internet with suitable computers, such as PC, notebooks, mobile telephony devices, App. etc.
Therefore, figure 1 depicts a possible screenshot generated by the server 2 after the connection and registration of the user (in the example of figure, Rossi Renato) and wherein the graphical representation is not limiting .
In brief, the system creates ordered macro-areas for storing/processing data and it is represented in figure 1 by the circle, which is divided into:
Deadlines (that is due electronic documents, such as bills) ;
Storage (it may contain for example medical records and may be divided in subcategories such health, j ob, etc . ) ;
Banks, i.e. one's own accounts through which settling payments;
Fidelity cards (if present) with shopping centers (accumulation of electronic points, collection of prizes, etc. ) .
The user creates his own area in a known way in this field, or by choosing and inserting his own credentials such as password and username.
The user, having access to his own reserved area, now has access to this unique platform which, in a dynamic and simple way, enables him to manage his own deadlines and personal data managed by it.
Therefore, figure 1A depicts the centralized server system, equipped with own processor, which generates the user area formed by the (or other) macro-areas. The macro areas depicted in figure 1 are illustrative and other can be added. Therefore, the server can be intended as a container/processor having an own storage module and a managing/processor module.
Therefore, the server can have even more than one processor and one processor destined for the storage ("storage module" of figure 1A) and one managing/processing processor ("managing/processing module" of figure 1A) .
The server system 2 is capable of creating an electronic communication through the Internet with many external servers for managing utilities and/or data in general designated by the user, so as to create a flow of the electronic documents from said external servers to the server 2 in automatic manner for subsequently managing/processing these electronic data inside.
Figure 2A depicts a schematization of this connection in which the main server is depicted that is in communication, preferably bi-directional, with the external servers (l...n) .
As introduced in prior art, external servers are already existing per se and the user can access them by a suitable subscription and access, for example the server and therefore the website related to the own supply contract of electricity, gas, etc.
For example, the user can initialize the system by indicating the utilities he wishes to be managed by the system and the bank account through which making the payment .
By means of this initialization, the system can automatically connect and communicate with the deputed servers of the utilities designated by the user and his banks designated for ordering the payments.
Therefore, it is necessary the insertion of an element identifying the connection.
This element identifying the connection can be for example the link for connecting the deputed server through the Internet, for example a link connecting to a dedicated area of the user, already pre-existing in the external server .
Therefore, the main server can acquire an address hhtp//www. Etc... with username and access to the external server in a pre-existing area of the external website from which it monitors and downloads the gradually uploaded documents .
In this way, as described below, it is created a flow of documents and electronical data which are periodically downloaded from the platform subject of the invention through a communication with the deputed external servers to which it is automatically connected.
The connection can be continuous or at time intervals .
In fact, figure 1 depicts, after the access, four section which graphically represents four main fields where to have access.
Therefore, the system subject of the invention is structured so as to include:
An electronic data storage (storage module of figure 1A) ;
A storage which stores predetermined deadlines relative to electronic data present in the data storage;
A section relative to the own bank/s for making potential payments;
A potential additional section related to fidelity cards and for managing potential facilitations with predetermined commercial networks.
Obviously, data contained in these sections are electronic data, therefore electronically processable data which circulates on the Internet.
In greater details, the system 2 comprises a storage of personal data where all documents in electronic format of various different fields are arranged, such as paid domestic utilities, health documents, etc.
In brief, as better described below, all the documents in electronic format pass in an ordered storage system which can be consulted and is managed by the server 2 for indicating various deadlines (see section relative to deadlines in figure 1) .
In particular, the system creates a single platform where all the electronic documents pass that can be now simply managed and stored.
This enable to also solve a further drawback of frauds which are often bound to forged paper bills which are mailed by post.
Now the server receives a bill in electronic format from a deputed external server and the bill can be verified, thus being sure of its authenticity.
In greater technical details, the platform subject of the invention is capable of acquiring all the utilities demanded by the user because it has a periodical information exchange through the Internet with the servers managing the services demanded by the user.
In fact, figure lc depicts an electronic document which is sent by the external server to the main server.
The main server is programmed for processing this document, thus for example optically scanning it through pre-existing and known systems in order to correctly store and process it.
In a practical example, the user inserts his data (obviously password and/or username among them) upon registration and can select the which utility he wishes to insert and manage through the system 2.
In a non-limiting example, the user decides to make the system 2 manage a utility relative to electricity consumption (for example operated by the National Electricity Board) .
Therefore, the user can insert this request in the system 2 (for example, by inserting the link for connecting to the National Electricity Board server) by indicating the data relative to his own electricity utility so that the server can electronically communicate and connect to the National Electricity Board managing server in the private area of the single user.
Therefore, if the user for example inserts the data relative to a supply service of the National Electricity Board, the system 2 will connect to the relative National Electricity Board server.
The two servers, i.e. the server of the platform relative to the present invention and the server relative to the National Electricity Board platform of the example, are connected and identify the same client through for example a security token (ID) associated to the user.
Now the server 2 can periodically interrogate the National Electricity Board server (for example every two months) and, in the event of presence of the document emitted in the National Electricity Board server, the National Electricity Board service will send the electronic document to the server 2.
Otherwise, the National Electricity Board server can send the document as soon as it is emitted. Therefore, the external server can be programmed with an alert which, after the generation of a new document, is automatically connected to the main server for sending the new document to the user's specific area.
Therefore, depending on the demanded service (bills, for example) the system can work in bidirectional manner: upon request, i.e. by consulting the server of the provider and verifying the availability of the document or by receiving the flows by it. In any cases, in proportion to the periodicity of the sending, the system 2 carries out a checking, i.e. if the electricity bill is sent for example every two months, the system expects this document from the supplier and in the event that it does not receive this document, it calls the supplier. The system for identifying the document, in order to guarantee the authenticity thereof, can be verified by integrating a security token system as mentioned.
In this case, a webservice (therefore for example a special additional server or a system integrated in the same server which generates the electronic document) can be used to generate a token code which is associated with the document when sent to the server 2 subject of the invention .
The server 2, once received the document, connects to the webservice and checks if the token code is true.
In this way, based on a known technology, there is a simple system for verifying the authenticity of the document .
Alternatively, the server 2 can internally have an integrated system programmed as the server sending the document, therefore with the same token algorithm, to verify if the received token code is correct.
Token systems work with a special algorithm, i.e. they generate numeric or alpha-numeric sequences on the basis of a predetermined algorithm.
In this way, the authenticity is checked thus preventing or reducing the risk of forged electronic data.
Once the document has been received, an OCR engine (acronym for "optical character recognition system") automatically "reads", decodes and stores the document received.
The OCR system is well known in the state of the art and it is already in use in other fields.
This OCR engine can electronically read the document to verify data such as:
"2018=year";
"BRAND; POD=electricity" ; "abc street=indication of geographic position"
In this manner, all the necessary data are extrapolated so that the processor ("module for storing/processing") can store the document and a subsequent processing thereof.
In fact, figure 3 and figure 3A depict some non limiting examples of electronic documents which can be processed and managed according to the further description, once emitted and acquired by the system.
The non-limiting list contains various utilities, such as domestic utilities (bills) to telephone bills (mobile or landline) .
As outlined in figure 3 and figure 3A, the system is capable of enabling the user to have an overview of the documents and therefore readily manage them.
Therefore, figure 3 depicts the emitted electronic documents which are acquired and stored and the subsequent processing thereof for detecting a deadline.
The above-described OCR engine performs this operation. The above-mentioned OCR engine has already read the document and decoded data relative to:
"holder; supplier; deadline; bank account" and therefore, it is capable of extrapolate and make a deadline visible that is automatically and electronically read by this OCR engine. The processor acquires this deadline and processes it thus generating an alert .
At this point, it is possible to readily create a storage for due documents by indicating and making an alert or a warning visible for the due document.
In the event of detected deadline, as depicted in figure 1 and 3A, the system consequently generates an alert .
As depicted in figure 4, the system can provide in a recapitulatory column, such as column 10 of figure 4, the various documents uploaded in the storage with a deadline reminder .
The user, as already depicted in figure 4, can thus have access to that specific area and proceed to the payment through a simple operation which enables to drag the icon of the document with the pointer to the icon relative to the preferred bank in the list.
Through the operation of the software, the system generates an order of electronic payment which is sent to the bank according to the known art. In this way, the bank receives a payment order directly by the user which can now monitor his deadline and then readily and quickly pay by simply dragging the document.
Therefore, in the present platform, the payment can be made by simply dragging the relative electronic file to the designated bank identified by an electronic icon and thus activating the payment engine of the platform.
Visually, the user sees the dragged document go to the bank and technically the platform sends an electronic flow, for example SOD Core (like a bank transfer) or another flow type according to the ways provided by the bank with: remitter and payee's data, amounts, deadline, payment description, in order to enable the payment.
As depicted in the subsequent figure 5, the platform is very flexible as it obviously enables to visualize and manage all macro-areas constituting it.
In fact, as depicted in figure 1, four macro-areas are preferably constituting it, i.e. storage, banks, fidelity cards and managing deadline reminders.
Each area can be selected for visualizing the -1.9- documents and updating it if necessary.
For example, figure 5 depicts the section of fidelity card which gives access to the list with updated points by clicking it. It can be updated with other cards.
The system acquires data step by step:
ID card, through the insertion/reading the EAN code or linear code;
Then the IT connection is defined with every brand which enables to obtain or divert points depending on the user's choices.
The communication with the platform will be:
Ex. : + 100 points ID 1234567890 Institution: ABCD
The acquisition system of fidelity cards and fidelity points takes place in phases:
1st phase: insertion of the details of the own loyalty card by the user;
2nd phase: the system connects to the Mass Market Retailers/ Retail Purchasing Consortiums and enables the user to view the balance of his points position, prizes, etc . ;
3rd phase: the system enables exchanging points between different catalogs, such as between a chain of stores and another one.
The system, as a function of predetermined value tables, proposes the exchange of points between catalogs. For example, the consumer could exchange 1000 points in a catalog of a chain to get 1000 points in a catalog of another chain. In this way, the system transfers the points of catalog A (ex. Esselunga) as if the user had bought a prize and credits points in catalog B (ex. : Coop) as if the user had made the shopping.
Similarly, figure 6 depicts the storage view.
A further innovative aspect of the present invention relates to the filter that the platform can create to limit unwanted electronic advertising and transmit only the one really of interest to the customer.
This feature is outlined in figure 4. In fact, when a utility is paid, the system acquires the transaction and asks the consent to the user to send requests for offers to several companies in the same sector and then store any offers received.
The system sends a notice and the user can click on the electronic notice, for example indicating a YES or NO.
In this way, the system 2 acquires the information to pass predetermined promotional electronic messages from other servers related to the demanded service.
This electronic operation enables the user to filter potential offers upstream and aims to obtain specific offers that may be of interest.
Buy means of this platform, the user has a complete archive, which uploads autonomously and automatically warns of the various payment deadlines to be met, deadlines that are always generated through the same platform.
The present method does not exclude, in combination with the existence of an automatic connection between the servers, also the additional loading of further documents even directly by the user once scanned, for example.
