Definitions
- the present invention relates to a multilayered container tube having transparent scale indicator that may be filled with various chemical materials in liquid of gel form such as silicone, that protects the chemical contained within from extraneous effects thereby preventing the chemical from getting dried, and that allows for squeezing the chemical contained within the tube out by means of applying pressure to the bottom portion of the tube by using guns or other tools when necessary.
- various chemical materials in liquid of gel form such as silicone
- the present invention particularly relates to multilayered container tube having transparent scale indicator comprising a body portion having: Polyethylene (PE) layer and/or Polypropylene (PP) layer and/or Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) layer and/or Polyamide (PA) layer and/or Polystyrene (PS) layer and/or Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) layer and/or Polycarbonate (PC) layer and/or Polyoxymethylene (POM) layer.
- PE Polyethylene
- PP Polypropylene
- PMMA Polymethylmethacrylate
- PA Polyamide
- PS Polystyrene
- ABS Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene
- PC Polycarbonate
- POM Polyoxymethylene
- Silicones and suchlike construction chemicals are perfect filling, adhesive and insulating materials not only for amateur but also for professional users. These materials have quite extensive areas of usage.
- Various chemicals that are in liquid of gel form such as silicone are usually stored within a container tube for a convenient use. Tubes used in the current state are generally single-layered and resistant only to certain chemical materials. Therefore, their areas of usage are quite limited, and they fail to respond to different needs.
- Container tubes utilized in the current state of the art do not indicate the amount used during utilization as well as the amount left in the tube after usage.
- container tubes used in the current state of the art do not comprise gaskets positioned on their inner plungers, they leak the product contained within. Furthermore, as these tubes let air to go inside the container tube, the product contained within may end up completely dried.
- the present invention relates to a multilayered container tube having transparent scale indicator inspired by existing conditions and aims to eliminate abovementioned disadvantages, which may be filled with various chemical materials in liquid of gel form such as silicone, that protects the chemical contained within from extraneous effects thereby preventing the chemical from getting dried and that preserves the characteristics of the chemical material, and that allows for squeezing the chemical contained within the tube out by means of applying pressure to the bottom portion of the tube by using guns or other tools when necessary .
- liquid of gel form such as silicone
- the primary and most essential object of the present invention is to provide a multilayered container tube having transparent scale indicator that can withstand various types of chemical materials due to its multilayered structure and that can respond to the needs of different areas of use.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a multilayered container tube that can indicate the amount used during utilization as well as the amount left in the tube after usage by means of the transparent scale indicator.
- Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a multilayered container tube that is capable of sealing the product contained within the tube completely by means of providing a gasket in the inner plunger. Furthermore, since the inventive multilayered container tube having transparent scale indicator does not let air to go inside the tube, it can prevent the product contained within from drying as well as it can keep the product's chemical structure from decomposing.

- inventive multilayered container tube having transparent scale indicator that is filled with various chemical materials in liquid or gel form such as silicone, that protects the chemical contained within from extraneous effects thereby preventing the chemical from getting dried, that preserves the characteristic features of the chemical and that allows for pushing the chemical contained within the tube out by means of applying pressure to the bottom portion of the tube by using guns or other tools when necessary.
- various chemical materials in liquid or gel form such as silicone
- Figure 1 and Figure 2 illustrates the inventive multilayered container tube.
- various chemicals that are in liquid or gel form such as silicone are filled into the body (10) that is produced by utilizing extrusion method. End portion of the body (10) is closed with the tip cover (20) that is manufactured by means of the in-mold injection method.
- the tip cover (20) and the body (10) that are disclosed herein, can be of different colors. Said tip cover (20) and body (10) are connected with each other by means of bonding and/or welding. Thus, it is ensured that the tip cover (20) gets tightly connected with the body (10) portion.
- the chemical material contained within the body (10) of the inventive multilayered container tube comes out of the nozzle (21) of the tip cover (20) when the inner plunger (30) positioned at the inner bottom portion of the body (10) is pushed by a gun or various tools. Furthermore, the chemical material contained within the body (10) portion is kept from leaking and air intake is blocked by means of the gasket (40) produced by utilizing double component (2K Plastic Injection) technique and that is brought into contact with the inner plunger (30) .
- 2K Plastic Injection technology initially the inner plunger (30) is manufactured by means of the injection method. Subsequently, the inner plunger (30) is inserted into the plastic injection mold and the gasket (40) plastic raw material is connected thereon by utilizing the plastic injection method. Thus, a strong bonding and tightness can be obtained between the inner plunger (30) and the gasket (40) .
- Figure 3 and Figure 4 illustrates the inventive multilayered container tube having the transparent scale indicator (11) . Since the body (10) is manufacture with a dark, opaque color, it is unlikely to monitor the remaining amount of chemical material from outside. The manufacturing process of both the body (10) and the transparent scale indicator (11) of the inventive multilayered container tube is performed simultaneously by using the extrusion method. Thus, a strong chemical bond can be created. Transparent scale indicator (11) allows for monitoring the remaining chemical amount within the body (10) .
- Figure 7 illustrates the insert production method of the inventive multilayered container tube. While the body (10) and the transparent scale indicator (11) is simultaneously produced by means of the extrusion method, tip cover (20) produced with the injection method at desired intervals and in desired number is inserted at the same time. Since the tip cover (20) is inserted during the manufacturing process, it is tightly engaged with the body (10) portion. Thus, continuous manufacturing of body (10) portions comprising tip covers (20) as well as transparent scale indicators (11) is achieved. Subsequently, by cutting the body (10) through the cutting portion (13) thereof and positioning the plunger (30) having the gasket (40) to the inner bottom portion of the body (10) batch manufacturing of individual multilayered container tube having transparent scale indicator is performed.
- FIG. 5 and Figure 6 illustrate the body (10) having more than one layer (12) .
- Layer (12) type as well as the number of layers (12) of the body (10) vary depending on the chemical material that will be filled into the body (10) .
- These layers (12) are simultaneously produce by means of the extrusion method.
- These layers (12) are; Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP) , Polyoxymethylene (POM) , Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) , Polyamide (PA) , Polystyrene (PS) , Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) and Polycarbonate (PC) .
- polyethylene has low durability and rigidity, it provides low friction, high ductility as well as high impact resistance .
- Polyethylene features LDPE, MDPE and HDPE class high chemical resistance, i.e. it does not get attacked by strong acids or strong bases and is resistant to oxidants as well as to reductive agents.
- Polyethylene absorbs hardly any water. Its gas and vapor permeability (for polar gases only) is a lot lower when compared to other plastics. Polyethylene cannot be bonded or compounded with non-pretreated adhesives. When used with plastic welding technique, highly durable connections can be obtained easily.
- polyethylene varies between transparent, milky opaque (transparent) or opaque.
- Methyl group improves mechanical characteristics as well as the thermal resistance, even though it reduces the chemical resistance .
- polypropylene is the plastic having the lowest density. Moldings having low density and even lower weight and more pieces of a certain plastic mass can be produced.
- polypropylene when polypropylene (PP) is co-polymerized with ethylene, it is normally rigid and flexible in characteristic. This allows for using polypropylene as an engineering plastic that is capable of competing with materials such as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) . Polypropylene is quite economic.
- polypropylene With the exception of strong oxidants, polypropylene demonstrates resistance to fats and to almost all organic solvents. Non-oxidizing acids and bases can be preserved in containers manufactured from polypropylene.
- POLYMETHYLMETHACRYLATE PMMA - ACRYLIC
- Polymethylmethacrylate is a strong, rigid and light material. Polymethylmethacrylate features high luminous transmittance as well as good impact resistance.
- Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA - Acrylic) is capable of filtering ultraviolet (UV) light in wave lengths (similar to mainstream windows glass) up to 300 nm.
- Polymethylmethacrylate is superior to many other plastic types in terms of environmental stability and therefore, it is a material preferred for outdoor applications.
- Aromatic polyamides which are also known as aramids feature higher durability, better solvent, flame and thermal resistance and greater dimensional stability when compared to all of aliphatic amides (Nylon) .
- These raw materials feature perfect mechanical characteristics including high tensile strength, high flexibility, low friction and high impact resistance (toughness) . These materials are easy to dye, and they demonstrate perfect resistance to abrasion due to low friction coefficient (self-lubricating) .
- Polyamide features high melting temperature (500 - 540 C) and glass transition temperature which provides good mechanical characteristics in high temperatures.
- Polyamide 6.12 features better moisture resistance, dimensional stability as well as electrical characteristics.
- POLYSTYRENE (PS ) is Another significant polyamide.
- PS Polystyrene
- Polystyrene can be copolymerized with polystyrene methyl methacrylate.
- Copolymer poly ( styrene-co-methyl methacrylate) (PSMMA) features higher clarity, as well as enhanced chemical and UV stability.
- PSAN poly ( styrene- co-acrylonitrile)
- ABS Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene
- PC POLYCARBONATE
- PC Polycarbonates
- Polyoxymethylene is a quite crystalline thermoplastic featuring high bending and tensile strength and reacts with low friction under rigidity and stress. It also features low friction coefficient, high chemical resistance as well as extraordinary fatigue resistance.
- Polyoxymethylene and copolymers thereof are generally the right choice for applications requiring low friction, close tolerances and high impact and friction resistance. They can be processed with common methods used in all kinds of thermoplastics. Polyoxymethylene and copolymers thereof can be injection molded cost-efficiently even in highly complex parts or can be injected into rods, pipes, profiles and plates processed with cutting tools and shear boxes (having high precision) in order to produce finished parts.
