- the holder assembly 10 is a compact and simple assembly with predefined dimensions and shape in which a user can insert a range of electronic device(s) and/or object(s).
- the holder assembly 10 may be an integral unit or an assembly of one or more components detachably coupled to each other. As illustrated in Figs la and lb, the holder assembly 10 of the present invention includes a holder plate 100, a connector unit 200 and a mounting unit 300. Each component of the holder assembly 10 may be assembly together by a predefined means (as described below). The components of the holder assembly 10 may be prepared by any conventional method known in the art such as molding, sheet metal fabrication.

- the shape and dimensions of the holder plate 100 may be dependent upon the size of associated electronic device(s) and/or object(s).

- the front surface 100a of the holder plate 100 may be in direct contact with the one or more electronic devices and/or objects.
- the front surface 100a may be a smooth or a corrugated surface.
- the front surface 100a may include one or more securing means for securing the electronic device(s) and/or object(s).
- the securing means may be in the form of a vacuum arrangement say, suction cup(s), or magnetic arrangement, etc. Alternately, as represented in fig.
- the securing means includes a plurality of jaws 102 disposed on the edges of the front surface 100a at predefined distances. Though fig. 2a represents three jaws 102, the number of jaws 102 may be increased/decreased based upon the size and weight of the associated electronic device(s) and/or object(s). In an embodiment, in place of jaws 102, the securing means may include continuously disposed brackets.
- all the jaws 102 of the present invention are structurally and functionally similar. Alternately, the jaws 102 may be structurally and functionally different. The jaws 102 may be manually adjusted based upon the size of the electronic device(s) and/or object(s).
- the jaws 102 may be of any shape which help in grasping the electronic device(s) and/or object(s) efficiently.
- each of the jaws 102 of the present invention is J-shaped.
- the jaws 102 include a curved portion 102a and a flat portion 102b.
- the curved portion 102a covers the edges of the electronic device(s) and/or object(s) to clasp the electronic device(s) and/or object(s).
- the curved portion 102a may be provided with a cushion or any other structure alike so that the electronic device(s) and/or object(s) do not get damaged when in association with the holder plate 100.
- the curved portion 102a includes a rubber piece.
- the flat portion 102b is disposed between the curved portion 102a and the edge of the front surface 100a.
- the back surface 100b of the holder plate 100 may include at least one coupling unit 104.
- the coupling unit 104 may be disposed at a particular position. For example, as shown in figure. 2b, the coupling unit 104 is disposed in the middle of an upper portion of the back surface 100b of the holder plate 100.
- the coupling unit 104 is employed to receive the connector unit 200.
- the coupling unit 104 may be structured according to the connector unit 200.
- the coupling unit 104 is in the form of a circular cavity having a curved base 104a and a discontinuous boundary with four upright adjustable walls 104b.
- the curved base 104a enables easy multi-axial rotation of the connector unit 200.
- the adjustable walls 104b may include an inner surface and an outer surface. In an embodiment, the outer surface of adjustable walls 104b is threaded. Alternately, the adjustable walls 104b may be smooth.
- the adjustable walls 104b may be separated by slits 104c. The slits 104c help to ease the association of connector unit 200 to the coupling unit 104 without any tension and/or resistance such that the connector unit 200 is smoothly coupled to the holder plate 100.
- the connector unit 200 helps to connect the holder plate 100 and the mounting unit 300. Further, the connector unit 200 enables multi-axial rotation of the holder plate 100 holding the electronic device(s) and/or object(s). Hence, the connector unit 200 permits adjustment of the position of the electronic device(s) and/or object(s).
- the connector unit 200 as represented in Figs. 3(a-c) includes a reciprocating member 202, a stem 204 (optionally/additionally present) and a base 208.
- the reciprocating member 202 of the connector unit 200 is configured to be seated within the coupling unit 104 and is movably coupled to the same.
- the reciprocating member 202 is considered to be completely seated when it comes in direct contact with the curved base 104a and the inner surface of the adjustable walls 104b of the coupling unit 104. Once seated, the adjustable walls 104b outlining the reciprocating member 202 may be tightened using the fastening means 210.
- the fastening means 210 (as shown in fig. 4a and 4b) is a nut type circular ring with threads disposed on its inner surface 210a.
- the threads of the fastening means 210 mate with the threads disposed on the outer surface of the adjustable walls 104b of the coupling unit 104.
- the fastening means 210 also aid in loosening and tightening of the coupling unit 104 and the connector unit joint.
- the outer surface 210b of the fastening means 210 may include ridges. The ridges on the outer surface 210b facilitate easy grasping (manual grasping) of the fastening means 210 by the user. In an embodiment, the ridges form a flower like arrangement.
- the stem 204 may be used to connect reciprocating member 202 to the base 208.
- the stem 204 includes a first end 204a and a second end 204b.
- the first end 204a is in contact with the reciprocating member 202.
- the second end 204b of the stem 204 may be sloped and is in contact with the base 208.
- the base 208 of the connector unit 200 may be a smooth or a corrugated surface.
- the base 208 of the connector unit 200 includes two locks 206, say v-shaped locks.
- the base 208 of the connector unit 200 may be structured according to the attachment slot 302 of the mounting unit 300.
- the attachment slot 302 is snap fitted to the base 208 of the connector unit 200.
- the snap fitted assembly provides a sufficient grip to the mounting unit 300, to hold the weight of the holder plate 100 and the electronic device under the influence of environmental forces or the accelerations which are normally experienced within a moving vehicle.
- the mounting unit 300 of the present invention helps to fix the holder assembly 10 to the attachment site.
- the mounting unit 300 is dimensioned to fix between two adjacently placed AC vents of the vehicle.
- the mounting unit 300 of the holder assembly 10 may be a customizable unit which is capable of being fixed to the predefined surface.
- the mounting unit 300 of the present invention is an indented bar type of a structure.
- the mounting unit 300 may include an attachment slot 302, an extended arm 304 and a fixation means 304e.
- the attachment slot 302 may receive the base 208 of the connector unit 200.
- the attachment slot 302 may be structured to the dimensions and shape of the base 208. As shown in Figs. 5a and 5b, the attachment slot 302 includes a rectangular hollow cavity with four walls having respective edges.
- the wall of the attachment slot 302 facing the connector unit 200 includes an orifice 302a.
- the orifice 302a may be disposed in association with a lower edge of the attachment slot 302 as shown in fig. 5a.
- the orifice 302a may be centrally located along a width of the attachment slot 302 on the lower edge.
- the orifice 302a may be shaped to receive the connector unit 200 in the attachment slot 302 and to allow smooth assembling/dissembling of the connector unit 200.
- the shape of the orifice 302a may include, but not limited to square, rectangular, circular etc.
- the orifice 302a is a horse-shoe shaped opening.
- the lower edge of the front wall includes at least two fingers 302b.
- the fingers 302b along with the orifice 302a create a fitment area for efficient fixation of the connector unit 200 in the attachment slot 302.
- the extended arm 304 of the present invention may be a bar type structure with a longitudinal axis ⁇ .
- the extended arm 304 may include an upper end 304a, a lower end 304b, a front surface 304c and a back surface 304d.
- the attachment slot 302 may be extended to include a spacer 306.
- the spacer 306 may be disposed between the extended arm 304 and the attachment slot 302.
- the spacer 306 may be adjoined to an upper end 304a of the extended arm 304.
- the dimensions of the spacer 306 may be same or different from the attachment slot 302.
- the extended arm 304 may be angled with respect to the spacer 306. In an embodiment, the angle between the spacer 306 and the extended arm 304 is 90°.
- the extended arm 304 may include a slot. In another embodiment the extended arm 304 is a continuous solid surface.
- the width of the upper end 304a and the lower end 304b is equal i.e. width of the extended arm 304 is uniform.
- the front surface 304c of the extended arm 304 is the surface which faces the holder plate 100 (as shown in fig. la).
- the front surface 304c may be smooth/uniform or rough/non uniform.
- the back surface 304d of the extended arm 304 is the surface which is in direct contact to the interior of the vehicle and assists in attachment and detachment of the holder assembly 10 to the same.
- the back surface 304d may be attached to the interior of the vehicle with the help of one or more fixation means 304e.
- the fixation means 304e may be attached via snap fit arrangement.
- the fixation means 304e may be any temporary arrangement (grooves, brackets etc.) or a permanent arrangement (for example, glued, moulded, welded, etc.).
- the fixation means 304e is in the form of grooves. As shown in fig. 5b, there are four J-shaped grooves. Though the following description emphasizes on J-shaped grooves, however, fixation means 304 having other shapes and structures also lie within the scope of the present invention. The shape of the grooves plays an important role in providing efficient gripping of the holder assembly 10.
- the fixation means 304e may be disposed at a predefined surface on the back surface 304b of the extended arm 304 and/or spacer 306.
- the fixation means 304e may be disposed on the edges of the back surface 304d of the mounting unit 300 at a predefined distance.
- the predefined distance as well as the number of grooves may vary depending upon the dimensions/area of the interior (area on which the holder assembly 10 has to be attached) of the vehicle.
- a pair of oppositely facing fixation means 304e is disposed on the confluence of the extended arm 304 and the adjoining spacer 306 along the longitudinal axis .
- the other pair of oppositely facing fixation means 304e is disposed on a lower portion of the back surface 304d.
- Fig. 7 illustrates a flow chart which represents a method of assembling the different embodiments of the holder assembly 10.
- the assembled/overall holder assembly 10 attaches to the interior of the vehicle.
- the holder plate 100 and connector unit 100 are fixed together; the reciprocating member 202 of the connector unit 200 is inserted inside the coupling unit 104 of the holder plate 100.
- the fastening means 210 is threaded with the corresponding threads disposed on the adjustable walls 104b. Such connection between the adjustable walls 104b of and the fastening means 210 assist in the proper fixation of the connector unit 200 in the coupling unit 104.
- the connector unit 200 is coupled to the attachment slot 302 of the mounting unit 300. More specifically, the base 208 of the connector unit 200 is coupled to the attachment slot 302 of the mounting unit 300.
- the locks 206 disposed on the base 208 helps in holding or retaining the base 208 inside the attachment slot 302.
- the attachment slot 302 of the mounting unit 300 is structured according to the base 208 of the connector unit 200
- the mounting unit 300 is attached to a segment of the dashboard of a vehicle.
- the fixation means 304e of the mounting unit 300 is attached to the dashboard via a snap fit arrangement.
- the snap fit arrangement between the mounting device 300 and the dash board provides anti-falling characteristics to the holder assembly 10 thereby providing protection to the electronic device/object.
- step 407 an electronic device(s) and object(s) can be inserted/attached to the holder plate 100.

Abstract
L'invention concerne un ensemble support. L'ensemble support de la plaque de support comprend une surface avant et une surface arrière. La surface avant comporte une pluralité de mâchoires destinées à maintenir un ou plusieurs dispositifs électroniques et/ou un ou plusieurs objets, tandis que la surface arrière comprend une unité de couplage. De plus, l'ensemble support comprend une unité de connecteur. L'unité de connecteur comprend un élément à mouvement alternatif et une base. L'élément à mouvement alternatif de l'unité de connecteur est couplé à l'unité de couplage de la plaque de support. L'ensemble support comprend également une unité de montage. L'unité de montage comprend une fente de fixation et un bras étendu. La fente de fixation est configurée pour recevoir la base de l'unité de connecteur. Le bras étendu comprend une surface avant et une surface arrière. La surface arrière du bras de fixation comprend une pluralité de moyens de fixation destinés à fixer l'unité de montage à un véhicule.
