- the method can comprise the following steps: carrying out a fifth cut (42) and a sixth cut (43) each made in a transversal direction to the first score line (3) and to the second score line (4) so that: the fifth cut (42) is carried out on the first lateral sector (9) and extends from the first lateral end (100a) of the cardboard for packaging (100) to the first score line (3), so that a fifth reinforcing flap (44) is identified in the first lateral sector (9), which fifth reinforcing flap (44) is foldable towards the fifth portion (81 ) and the sixth cut (43) is carried out on the second lateral sector (10) and extends from the second lateral end (100b) of the cardboard for packaging (100) to the second score line (4), so that a sixth reinforcing flap (45) is identified in the second lateral sector (10), which sixth reinforcing flap (45) is foldable towards the fifth portion (81); folding the fourth portion (80) to cover at least the fourth flank (2d) of the at least an article (2); folding the fifth portion
- the method can comprise the following steps: folding the fifth reinforcing flap (44) towards the fifth portion (81 ) with respect to the first score line (3) so as to overlap the fifth reinforcing flap (44) and the fifth portion (81) with respect to one another in order to define a seventh overlapping area (48); folding the sixth reinforcing flap (45) towards the fifth portion (81 ) with respect to the second score line (4) so as to overlap the sixth reinforcing flap (45) and the fifth portion (81) with respect to one another in order to define an eighth overlapping area (49).
- the step of folding the fifth portion (81) can include folding the fifth portion (81 ) with the consequence that a part of the seventh overlapping area (48) is projecting with respect to the first closing flap (15) once the first closing flap (15) has been folded and a part of the eighth overlapping area (49) is projecting with respect to the second closing flap (18) after the second closing flap (18) has been folded.
- the projecting part of the seventh overlapping area (48) and the projecting part of the eighth overlapping area (49) make the structure of the box (101) obtained more rigid.
- the seventh overlapping area (48) is determined by the superposing of the fifth closing flap (44) and part of the fifth portion (80) and since the eighth overlapping area (49) is determined by the superposing of the sixth closing flap (45) and part of the fifth portion (81), the seventh overlapping area (48) and the eighth overlapping area (49) have a greater thickness, respectively, than the fifth reinforcing flap (44) and the sixth reinforcing flap (45) and this contributes to increasing the rigidity of the box (101).
- the projecting part of the seventh overlapping area (48) and the projecting part of the eighth overlapping area (49) advantageously make the handling of the box (101) obtained easier as the person who will have to handle the box (101 ) can identify in the projecting part of the seventh overlapping area (48) and the projecting part of the eighth overlapping area (49) a gripping point of the box (101).
- the fifth portion (81) comprises a contact strip (82) which extends parallel to a free end (7c) of the second portion (7) and which entirely contacts the second portion (7) when the third portion (8) and the second portion (7) are folded and overlapped on one another.
- the method of the present invention comprises further steps of: carrying out a seventh cut and an eighth cut each made in a transversal direction to the first score line (3) and to the second score line (4) so that a part of the fifth reinforcing flap (44) is removed and a part of the sixth reinforcing flap (45) is removed to laterally define the contact strip (82). Therefore the contact strip (82) can have a rectangular shape, in which the relative length coincides with the length of the external side of the fifth portion (81 ).
