Description
COFFEE MACHINE WITH WATER TANK
Technical Field
The invention relates to a coffee machine with water-tank which performs the function of brewing coffee with cold water from the water tank.
Background of the Invention
Coffee, especially Turkish coffee culture and tradition, dates back to the 16th century when coffee was served in coffee houses in Istanbul. There are two famous aspects of tradition that make the taste unique and contribute to socialization.
As a type of beverage, Turkish coffee has special preparation techniques and these techniques are still used today. Traditional methods used in coffee preparation have led to the development of special tools such as coffee pots, cups, mortars and silverware with artistic value. Thanks to the preparation techniques that require time, Turkish coffee leaves its taste and freshness in your palate for a long time. It is softer, flavoured and dense than other kinds of coffees. It is very easy to separate Turkish coffee from other coffees with its unique aroma, its whiteness and its foam.
Turkish coffee is not only a beverage, but also a social work that combines cultural gaps, social values and beliefs to socialize. The role of socializing Turkish coffee is based on the opening of the first coffeehouses in Istanbul, with its noteworthy decorations. Coffee shops were the places where people were drinking coffee, chatting, sharing news, reading books and socializing. Tradition is a symbol of hospitality, friendship, kindness and entertainment in itself. All this is stated by the famous Turkish proverb in a cup of coffee has forty years' sake. All this statement shows how important the coffee is in Turkish culture and how much the Turkish culture is. [Ministry of Culture and Tourism website]
Even though these preparation techniques are used in the present day, it is needed to give a much faster practical method of cooking if we think that people's time is very valuable in daily life. For this reason, a new generation of Turkish coffee machines has started to be produced.
There are automatic coffee machines which transfer the water which is located in the water tank to the cooking chamber by means of a pump and which is based on the mixture of coffee and sugar with water.
The general working principle of these automatic coffee machines is always the same. The water drawn from a water tank by means of a pump and flow meter is sprayed into the tank and the coffee is cooked by heating the resistance at the base by mixing with the powdered coffee and sugar in the tank.
In the said coffee machines, information such as whether there is water in the water tank or what is the water level is also shared with the users. This is either measured by means of a sensor and the user is warned when the level is low. Or a mechanical indicator shows the position of the water.
In order for the said level sensors to operate with the desired efficiency, they must be positioned zero to the water tank. Otherwise, it can not make the desired degree of measurement and can give false warnings to users.
Especially if you want to cook more than one cup of coffee, if the amount of water is not enough, it makes it much darker and less coffee. This means dissatisfaction for users.
It is of great importance that the said level sensors measure with the same accuracy after the water tanks with removable structure are filled with water and re-attached to the machine.
In the literature, published document in the European patent No. EP1758491 B1 relates to "This invention, inspired by the traditional cooking methods, the desired amount, in a short time, in accordance with the usual taste and consistency to cook Turkish coffee,
homes and especially in hotels, restaurants or cafes such as the hotel to be used. It relates to a coffee machine with improved water transfer from the water tank through the pumps to the cooking vessels where suitable and Turkish coffee is prepared.
In said embodiment, a coffee machine is disclosed which is cooked in the cooking chamber by drawing water from a water tank by the water pump.

In said embodiment, a plurality of level sensors are disclosed, which warns the user of a drop in water level and performs this process by measuring the resistance difference in the water and in the dry environment.
In the literature, the publication of the European patent document numbered EP3039997B1 relates to " A Turkish coffee cooker having a cooking chamber heated by a heater, in which a coffee mixture containing Turkish coffee, water and optionally sugar is cooked, and when said cooking is completed, said coffee mixture in the cooking chamber is transferred to a beverage container for serving to persons and the serving machine.
In the said application, a coffee machine including a water tank, a water pump, a level sensor and a stirrer is disclosed.
Due to the above-mentioned disadvantages, there was a need to provide a new coffee machine with water tank.

much water will be drawn for said coffee brewing and the water motor (15) providing water transmission to said mixer (6).
Said water level sensor mechanism (10) consists of the main parts of the spring (10.2), which allows said water level sensor mechanism (10) to be first positioned so that the distance X is towards the water tank (9) and which allowing said water level sensor mechanism (10) to be in zero contact with the water tank (9) by allowing said water tank (9) to lean against the wall facing the front cover (8) for a distance of X when it is in the installed position, the spring bearing cover (10.1 ) bearing said spring (10.2), the water level sensor (10.4) determining whether the water in said water tank (9) is sufficient; the sensor back cover (10.3) positioned on the rear side of said water level sensor (10.4) the sensor front cover (10.5) located on the front of said water level sensor (10.4), the water level sensor seating surface (10.5.1 ) which is positioned as the surface of said sensor front cover (10.5) facing the water tank (9) and is in zero contact with the water tank seating surface (9.1 ) located on said water tank (9).
In the general operating principle of said water tank coffee machine (A), firstly the coffee machine with water tank (A) is plugged in and the on-off button (2) is pressed and operated.
The water tank (9) located in said water tank coffee machine (A) is filled with water to the maximum level. Then, coffee and sugar are placed in the pot (1 ) and the pot (1 ) is placed on the five pole socket (1 1 ).
The cup buttons (4) located on said upper body (B) are pressed for how many cups of coffee are to be made.
Then, the water in the water tank (9) is taken to the water motor (15) by taking sufficient amount by means of flowmeter (13).
Water is pumped to the mixer (6) on said upper body (B) and sprayed into the pot (1 ) at an angle and the cooking process starts. The NTC sensor on the base or top of the pot (1 ) measures the temperature of the water to determine whether the coffee is sufficiently cooked and the system is switched off.
A sufficient amount of water to be taken from said water tank (9) is determined by the software included in the electronic main board (14).
The operation of the water tank coffee machine (A) is automatically controlled by said electronic main board (14).
Said water level sensor (10.4) is positioned at a height sufficient to measure the maximum number of cups, preferably up to 4 cups, in said water tank (9) of the cup keys (4) positioned on the upper body (B) to determine how many cups of said coffee are to be cooked. .
Thus, when the users press the 4 cup cup button (4) to make 4 cups of coffee, sufficient water is contained in the water tank (9).
The general operating principle of said water level sensor mechanism (10) is as follows;
When said water tank (9) is in the first position, that is, when the water tank (9) does not touch the water level sensor mechanism (10) in the air, the water level sensor mechanism (10) is advanced as far as x distance by means of the springs (10.2).
When said water tank (9) is placed in the water tank coffee machine (A), the seating surface (9.1 ) of the water tank pushes the water level sensor seating surface (10.5.1 ) and compresses the springs (10.2).
In this way, the water level sensor mechanism (10) moves back by the distance x. When we remove said water tank (9), the compressed springs (10.2) return to their original position and return the water level sensor mechanism (10) to the first position.
Said distance x is calculated taking into account the elongation and compression distance of the spring.
Said water level sensor mechanism (10) is positioned at an angle to the wall to which it is fixed. Thus, the flow of water that can come on it is provided. In addition, the water level sensor (10.4) is positioned around the frame to protect the socket location from water.
The wall thicknesses of said water level sensor seat surface (10.5.1 ) and the water tank seat surface (9.1 ) are thinner than the wall thicknesses on other surfaces. Thus, the water level sensor (10.4) makes it easier to read the water in the water tank (9). Said four springs (10.2) are used in said water level sensor mechanism (10). The purpose of this number being 4 is to ensure that the water tank (9) is subjected to an equal amount of pressure from all sides and prevents the water level sensor mechanism (10) from contracting. When said coffee machine with water tank (A) operates, water flows into the pot (1) by means of the mixer (6). After this process, the remaining water in the water hose (17) can be returned to the water tank (9) due to pressure such as going back again.
An additional case is that after the water has been pumped into the pot (1 ), water remains in the portion (in the mixer (6)) of the mixer (6). The remaining water may form a situation where the pot (1 ) flows to its location after removing the pot (1 ).
In order to avoid such situations, the check valve (16) is positioned such that the water is placed in the water hose (17) or between the mixer (6) and the water hose (17).
