Description
本開示は、電源システム及びそれを備えた車両に関する。本出願は、2019年2月1日出願の日本出願第2019-016951号に基づく優先権を主張し、前記日本出願に記載された全ての記載内容を援用するものである。
プラグインハイブリッド車又は電気自動車には、モータ駆動用の高圧バッテリ(例えば、出力電圧300V)から、低圧バッテリ(例えば、出力電圧12Vの鉛蓄電池)又は低圧負荷へ電力を供給するための降圧DC/DCコンバータが搭載されている。以下、プラグインハイブリッド車を、PHEV(Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle)という。電気自動車を、EV(Electric Vehicle)という。これらPHEV及びEVには、外部からの給電を可能とするための充電器も併せて搭載されている。
下記特許文献1には、PHEV及びEVの車両電源効率を向上させるために、車両走行システムと外部給電システムとを分離した電動車両の電源システムが提案されている。図13を参照して、特許文献1の電源システムについて説明する。電源システム900は、充電器902、副DC/DCコンバータ904、高圧バッテリ906、低圧バッテリ908、主DC/DCコンバータ910、及び電力制御ユニットPCU(Power Control Unit)918を備える。電源システム900はさらに、外部充電動作を制御するためのPLG-ECU912、車両走行時に電動車両の動作を制御するためのHV-ECU914、PCU918の動作を制御するためのMG-ECU916、及びリレー960~974を備える。この電源システム900は、車両の状態に応じてリレー960~974を切替える。電源システム900は、車両外部の交流電源により車両のバッテリを充電するとき(以下、外部充電という)には、車両走行システムを切り離して交流電源990から供給される交流電力により高圧バッテリ906及び低圧バッテリ908の充電を行う。電源システム900は、走行時には外部充電システムを切り離して高圧バッテリ906及び低圧バッテリ908から駆動部992及び補機系負荷994に電力を供給する。特許文献1の電源システムは、上記のように、車両走行システムと外部充電システムとを分離することで、各部品の耐久性及び車両全体での電源効率の向上を図っている。
本開示のある局面に係る電源システムは、第1の蓄電池に電力を供給する第1の電力供給回路と、第1の電力供給回路に電気的に接続され、第2の蓄電池に電力を供給する第2の電力供給回路とを含み、第1の電力供給回路は、第1の電力変換回路を含み、第2の電力供給回路は、第1の電力変換回路を第2の電力供給回路の一部として用いて第2の蓄電池に供給する電力を生成する。
本開示の別の局面に係る電源システムは、第1の蓄電池と、第2の蓄電池と、第3の蓄電池と、第1の蓄電池の出力電力を第2の蓄電池に供給する第1の電力供給回路と、第1の蓄電池の出力電力を第3の蓄電池に供給する第2の電力供給回路とを含み、第1の電力供給回路は、電力変換回路を含み、第2の電力供給回路は、電力変換回路を第2の電力供給回路の一部として用いて第3の蓄電池に供給する電力を生成する。
本開示のさらに別の局面に係る車両は、上記の電源システムと、電源システムから電力が供給される機器とを備える。
[本開示が解決しようとする課題]
特許文献1の電源システム(図13参照)では、車両走行システムと外部給電システムとを分離するために、充電器902及び主DC/DCコンバータ910に加えて、副DC/DCコンバータ904も必要となる。そのため、特許文献1に開示の構成では、電源システムが全体として比較的大型になることが懸念される。

(3)より好ましくは、第1の電力供給回路は、1次側が第1の電力変換回路に接続されるトランスと、トランスの第1の2次側に接続されるコンバータとをさらに含み、コンバータは、トランスの第1の2次側から出力される電力を変換して第1の蓄電池に供給する。これにより、第1の蓄電池に適した充電電圧を第1の蓄電池に供給できる。
(4)さらに好ましくは、第2の電力供給回路は、トランスの第2の2次側に接続される整流回路を含み、整流回路は、トランスの第2の2次側から出力される電力を整流して第2の蓄電池に供給する。これにより、第2の蓄電池に適した充電電圧を第2の蓄電池に供給できる。
(5)好ましくは、コンバータは双方向であり、コンバータは、トランスの第1の2次側から電力が入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して第1の蓄電池に出力し、第1の蓄電池から電力が入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換してトランスの第1の2次側に出力する。これにより、第1の蓄電池から補機系負荷に電力を供給できる。
(6)より好ましくは、第1の蓄電池からの電力を変換する第3の電力供給回路をさらに含み、第2の電力供給回路は、コンバータがトランスの第1の2次側に電力を出力したことを受けて、第3の電力供給回路と共に、第2の蓄電池に電力を供給する。これにより、第2の蓄電池の両端に接続されている補機系負荷の消費電力が増大し、第3の電力供給回路の負荷が増大した場合に対応できる。

(第1実施形態)
図1を参照して、本開示の第1実施形態に係る電源システム100は、充電器102、副DC/DCコンバータ104、高圧バッテリ106、及び低圧バッテリ108を含む。電源システム100はさらに、主DC/DCコンバータ110、PLG-ECU112、HV-ECU114、MG-ECU116及びPCU118を含む。充電器102、副DC/DCコンバータ104及び主DC/DCコンバータ110はそれぞれ、第1~第3の電力供給回路として機能する。高圧バッテリ106及び低圧バッテリ108はそれぞれ、第1及び第2の蓄電池として機能する。
図1を参照して、本開示の第1実施形態に係る電源システム100は、充電器102、副DC/DCコンバータ104、高圧バッテリ106、及び低圧バッテリ108を含む。電源システム100はさらに、主DC/DCコンバータ110、PLG-ECU112、HV-ECU114、MG-ECU116及びPCU118を含む。充電器102、副DC/DCコンバータ104及び主DC/DCコンバータ110はそれぞれ、第1~第3の電力供給回路として機能する。高圧バッテリ106及び低圧バッテリ108はそれぞれ、第1及び第2の蓄電池として機能する。
図2を参照して、電源システム100は、PHEV又はEV等の車両に搭載される。電源システム100は、交流電源190から供給される交流電力により高圧バッテリ106及び低圧バッテリ108を充電し、車両走行時には、駆動部192及び補機系負荷194に電力を供給する。駆動部192は、主機系モータ等の電気的駆動装置である。補機系負荷194は、エンジン及びモータを稼動するのに必要な付属機器である。例えば、付属機器は、主としてセルモータ、オルタネータ及びラジエータクーリングファン等である。但し、補機系負荷194は、照明、ワイパー駆動部及びナビゲーション装置等を含んでいてもよい。なお、車両走行時とは、車両の走行状態に限らない。車両走行時は、車両が停止し且つ照明等へ給電している状態を含む。PHEVであれば、車両走行時はエンジンのアイドリング状態をも含む。
高圧バッテリ106は、駆動部192を駆動するために高電圧(例えば、約300V)を出力する。低圧バッテリ108は、補機系負荷194、PLG-ECU112及びHV-ECU114を動作させるための低電圧(例えば、約12V)を供給する。
PLG-ECU112は、外部充電(外部交流電源による高圧バッテリ106及び低圧バッテリ108の充電)に関連する構成要素を制御する。具体的には、PLG-ECU112は、充電器102及び副DC/DCコンバータ104を構成する素子(例えば、半導体素子)を作動させるための電力を供給する。HV-ECU114は、車両走行時の駆動部192及び補機系負荷194への電力供給に関連する構成要素を制御する。具体的には、HV-ECU114は、主DC/DCコンバータ110及びMG-ECU116を構成する素子(例えば、半導体素子)を作動させるための電力を供給する。
PCU118は、高圧バッテリ106の出力電力を、駆動部192を駆動するための電力に変換し、駆動部192に供給する。PCU118は、例えばインバータを備え、直流から交流(高圧バッテリ106が三相電流で駆動するものであれば、三相交流)を生成して、駆動部192に供給する。MG-ECU116はHV-ECU114の制御を受けてPCU118を制御する。
電源システム100が搭載される車両が、EVであれば、図1に示した構成によりEVの走行が可能である。一方、電源システム100が搭載される車両がPHEVであれば、車両は、駆動部192の他にエンジンを備えている。したがって、エンジンと駆動部192とを協調して動作させることによりPHEVの走行が可能である。
充電器102は、第1AC/DCコンバータ120と、第1DC/ACコンバータ122と、キャパシタ124と、第2AC/DCコンバータ126と、第1トランス(変圧器)128とを含む。キャパシタ124は、第1AC/DCコンバータ120の出力端及び第1DC/ACコンバータ122の入力端の接続部に接続されている。第1トランス128は、第1DC/ACコンバータ122の出力端及び第2AC/DCコンバータ126の入力端を接続する。第1AC/DCコンバータ120の入力端は、リレー160及び162を介して交流電源190に接続されている。第1AC/DCコンバータ120は、入力される交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して出力する。第1AC/DCコンバータ120は、力率改善回路として機能する。第1DC/ACコンバータ122は、入力される直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して出力する。第1DC/ACコンバータ122はインバータとして機能する。第1AC/DCコンバータ120及び第1DC/ACコンバータ122は、電力変換回路として機能する。第2AC/DCコンバータ126は、入力される交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して出力する。第2AC/DCコンバータ126に入力される交流電圧は、第1トランス128の1次側端部132に第1DC/ACコンバータ122の交流出力が供給されることにより、第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部134に発生する交流電圧である。第2AC/DCコンバータ126の出力端は、高圧バッテリ106の両端に、リレー164及び166を介して接続されている。
これにより、外部充電時に、リレー160~166がオンすると、交流電源190からの交流電圧から生成された直流電圧(第2AC/DCコンバータ126の出力電圧)が高圧バッテリ106に供給され、高圧バッテリ106が充電される。第2AC/DCコンバータ126の出力電圧は、高圧バッテリ106を充電するのに適した電圧値であることが好ましい。高圧バッテリ106の充電に適した電圧を生成するには、それに適した変圧比(1次側と2次側の電圧比)の第1トランス128を使用すればよい。即ち、1次側端部132と第1の2次側端部134との電圧比が適切な第1トランス128を使用することにより、高圧バッテリ106に適した充電電圧を生成できる。
副DC/DCコンバータ104は、第1DC/ACコンバータ122と、第1整流回路130と、第1DC/ACコンバータ122の出力端及び第1整流回路130の入力端を接続する第1トランス128とを含む。第1整流回路130は、入力される交流電圧を整流及び平滑化し、直流電圧を出力する。第1整流回路130に入力される交流電圧は、第1トランス128の1次側端部132に第1DC/ACコンバータ122の交流出力が供給されることにより、第1トランス128の第2の2次側端部136に発生する交流電圧である。第1整流回路130の出力端は、低圧バッテリ108及び補機系負荷194に接続されている。このように、第1DC/ACコンバータ122は、副DC/DCコンバータ104の構成要素であり、同時に、上記したように充電器102の構成要素でもある。即ち、第1DC/ACコンバータ122は、充電器102及び副DC/DCコンバータ104により共有されている。
これにより、外部充電時に、リレー160及び162がオンすることにより、交流電源190から供給される交流電圧から生成された直流電圧が低圧バッテリ108及び補機系負荷194に供給され、低圧バッテリ108は充電される。第1整流回路130の出力電圧は、低圧バッテリ108を充電するのに適した電圧値であることが好ましい。低圧バッテリ108の充電に適した電圧を生成するには、それに適した変圧比(1次側と2次側の電圧比)の第1トランス128を使用すればよい。即ち、1次側端部132と第2の2次側端部136との電圧比が適切な第1トランス128を使用することにより、低圧バッテリ108に適した充電電圧を生成できる。
主DC/DCコンバータ110は、第2DC/ACコンバータ140と、第2整流回路142と、第2DC/ACコンバータ140の出力端及び第2整流回路142の入力端を接続する第2トランス144とを含む。第2DC/ACコンバータ140は、第1DC/ACコンバータ122と同様に、入力側INの直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して出力側OUTから出力する。第2整流回路142は、第1整流回路130と同様に、入力される交流電圧(第2トランス144の出力)を整流及び平滑化し、直流電圧を低圧バッテリ108側に出力する。第2整流回路142に入力される交流電圧は、第2トランス144の1次側に第2DC/ACコンバータ140の交流出力が供給されることにより、第2トランス144の2次側に発生する交流電圧である。第2整流回路142の出力端は、低圧バッテリ108及び補機系負荷194に接続されている。
これにより、車両走行時に、リレー168及び170がオンすると、高圧バッテリ106から供給される高電圧の直流電圧から生成された低電圧の直流電圧が、補機系負荷194に供給される。第2整流回路142の出力電圧は、補機系負荷194に適した電圧値であることが好ましい。そのためには、第2トランス144の変圧比(1次側と2次側の電圧比)を適切な値に設定すればよい。
このように、電源システム100においては、第1DC/ACコンバータ122は、充電器102及び副DC/DCコンバータ104に共通の構成要素となっている。したがって、電源システム100は、図12に示したような従来の構成の電源システムよりも小型であり、車両に搭載された場合、車両に占める空間割合をより低減できる。加えて、このように構成すれば、電源システムを小型化しながら、各部品の耐久性及び車両全体での電源効率を向上させることができる。
電源システム100は、力率改善回路として機能する第1AC/DCコンバータ120と、インバータとして機能する第1DC/ACコンバータ122とを備えることにより、高圧バッテリ106及び低圧バッテリ108を効率的に充電できる。
(外部充電時の動作)
図3を参照して、外部充電時の電源システム100の動作を説明する。初期状態では、電源システム100は交流電源190に接続されておらず、電源システム100のリレー160~174は全てオフであるとする。

外部充電時には、例えばケーブル(図示せず)を介して、電源システム100は交流電源190(例えば、商用電源)に接続される。交流電源190と電源システム100とが接続されると、リレー172がオンされ、低圧バッテリ108から補機系負荷194を介してPLG-ECU112への電力供給が開始される。交流電源190及び電源システム100の接続の検知、及びリレー172のオンは、例えば、PLG-ECU112及びHV-ECU114とは別のECU(図示せず)により行われる。
これによりPLG-ECU112が起動し、PLG-ECU112は、リレー160~166をオンする。このとき、リレー168、リレー170及び174はオフのままである。また、PLG-ECU112は、充電器102及び副DC/DCコンバータ104に電力を供給し、充電器102及び副DC/DCコンバータ104を作動させる。充電器102が作動することにより、上記したように、交流電源190からの交流電圧が、高圧の直流電圧に変換され高圧バッテリ106に供給され、高圧バッテリ106は充電される。同時に、副DC/DCコンバータ104が作動することにより、上記したように、交流電源190からの交流電圧が、低圧の直流電圧に変換され低圧バッテリ108に供給され、低圧バッテリ108は充電される。このときの電流方向を、図3において太い矢印で示す。
このとき、第1トランス128において、1次側端部132と第1の2次側端部134との電圧比が適切に設定されていれば、高圧バッテリ106に適切な充電電圧を供給できる。同様に、第1トランス128において、1次側端部132と第2の2次側端部136との電圧比が適切に設定されていれば、低圧バッテリ108に、適切な充電電圧を供給できる。
(車両走行時の動作)
図4を参照して、車両走行時の電源システム100の動作を説明する。初期状態では、電源システム100は交流電源190に接続されておらず、電源システム100のリレー160~174は全てオフであるとする。

イグニッションキー又はワイヤレスキー等が操作されると、リレー174がオンし、低圧バッテリ108から補機系負荷194を介してHV-ECU114への電力供給が開始される。イグニッションキー又はワイヤレスキー等の操作の検知、及びリレー174のオンは、例えば、PLG-ECU112及びHV-ECU114とは別のECU(図示せず)により行われる。
これによりHV-ECU114が起動し、HV-ECU114は、リレー168及び170をオンする。このとき、リレー160~166及び172はオフのままである。
また、HV-ECU114は、主DC/DCコンバータ110、MG-ECU116及びPCU118に電力を供給し、主DC/DCコンバータ110、MG-ECU116及びPCU118を作動させる。MG-ECU116及びPCU118が作動することにより、上記したように、高圧バッテリ106から供給される高電圧の直流電圧は、PCU118に供給され、PCU118により交流電力に変換されて駆動部192に供給される。これにより、駆動部192は動作を開始する。MG-ECU116がPCU118を制御することにより、駆動部192の動作は制御される。また、主DC/DCコンバータ110が作動することにより、上記したように、高圧バッテリ106から主DC/DCコンバータ110に供給される高電圧の直流電圧は、低電圧の直流電圧に変換され、補機系負荷194に供給される。このときの電流方向を、図4において太い矢印で示す。
このとき、第2トランス144において、1次側と2次側との電圧比が適切に設定されていれば、補機系負荷194に適切な電圧を供給できる。
(第1の変形例)
車両走行時には、補機系負荷の消費電力が変動し得る。例えば、夜間走行時のヘッドライトの点灯、エアコンのオン等により消費電力が増大する。これにより主DC/DCコンバータ110の負荷が大きくなる問題がある。第1の変形例は、このような問題に対応するためのものである。

図5を参照して、本変形例に係る電源システム200は、図1の電源システム100と同様に構成されている。電源システム200は、PHEV又はEVに搭載される。電源システム200は、電源システム100と次の点で異なる。即ち、電源システム100の第2AC/DCコンバータ126(図1参照)が双方向AC/DCコンバータ202に変更されている。また、HV-ECU114は、主DC/DCコンバータ110及びMG-ECU116への電力供給の制御に加えて、副DC/DCコンバータ204への電力供給をも制御する。
双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、双方向に交流電力と直流電力とを変換する機能を有する。即ち、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、第2AC/DCコンバータ126と同様に、第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部134からの出力電圧(交流電圧)が入力され、その交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して出力し、高圧バッテリ106に供給する。これに加えて、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、高圧バッテリ106から直流電圧が供給されると、その直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して出力し、第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部134に供給する。これにより、車両走行時には、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202、第1トランス128及び第1整流回路130は、副DC/DCコンバータ204として機能する。
電源システム100と同様に、電源システム200においても、外部充電時には、リレー160及び162に商用の交流電源等が接続されることにより、高圧バッテリ106及び低圧バッテリ108が充電される。また、車両走行時には、高圧バッテリ106から供給される電圧がPCU118及び主DC/DCコンバータ110に供給され、変換されて、それぞれ駆動部192及び補機系負荷194に供給される。この電流方向を、図5において太い実線の矢印で示す。
車両走行時に補機系負荷194の消費電力が増大すると、主DC/DCコンバータ110の負荷が増大する。その場合、電源システム200において、HV-ECU114によりリレー164及び166がオンされ、高圧バッテリ106からの直流電圧は、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202に供給される。また、HV-ECU114は、副DC/DCコンバータ204への電力供給を開始し、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202及び第1整流回路130を動作させる。これにより、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、供給される直流電圧を交流電圧に変換し、第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部134に供給する。このとき、第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部134及び第2の2次側端部136は、それぞれトランスの1次側及び2次側として機能する。したがって、第2の2次側端部136から交流電圧が第1整流回路130に供給される。第1整流回路130は、供給された交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して、補機系負荷194に供給する。この電流方向を、図5において太い破線の矢印で示す。
これにより、電源システム200は、主DC/DCコンバータ110の負荷の増大を抑制できる。したがって、主DC/DCコンバータ110が過負荷になって主DC/DCコンバータ110が損傷すること、及び、寿命が低下することを抑制できる。
(実施例)
図5における第1AC/DCコンバータ120、第1DC/ACコンバータ122、第1整流回路130及び双方向AC/DCコンバータ202の具体的な回路を図6に示す。図6を参照して、第1AC/DCコンバータ120は、インダクタ300及び302と、フルブリッジ回路を構成するスイッチ素子310~316とを含む。図6において、各スイッチ素子は、例えば環流ダイオードを有するFET(Field Effect Transistor)で構成されている。サージ電流からの保護等を目的として、スイッチ素子及び環流ダイオードは、順バイアス方向が相互に逆向きになるように並列接続されている。スイッチ素子310~316により構成されるフルブリッジ回路の2つの入力端は、それぞれインダクタ300及び302に接続されている。このフルブリッジ回路の2つの出力端はキャパシタ124の両端に接続されている。これにより、第1AC/DCコンバータ120は、外部充電時に、商用の交流電源等から端子部350に入力される交流電圧から直流電圧を生成して、キャパシタ124の両端に供給できる。
図5における第1AC/DCコンバータ120、第1DC/ACコンバータ122、第1整流回路130及び双方向AC/DCコンバータ202の具体的な回路を図6に示す。図6を参照して、第1AC/DCコンバータ120は、インダクタ300及び302と、フルブリッジ回路を構成するスイッチ素子310~316とを含む。図6において、各スイッチ素子は、例えば環流ダイオードを有するFET(Field Effect Transistor)で構成されている。サージ電流からの保護等を目的として、スイッチ素子及び環流ダイオードは、順バイアス方向が相互に逆向きになるように並列接続されている。スイッチ素子310~316により構成されるフルブリッジ回路の2つの入力端は、それぞれインダクタ300及び302に接続されている。このフルブリッジ回路の2つの出力端はキャパシタ124の両端に接続されている。これにより、第1AC/DCコンバータ120は、外部充電時に、商用の交流電源等から端子部350に入力される交流電圧から直流電圧を生成して、キャパシタ124の両端に供給できる。
第1DC/ACコンバータ122は、フルブリッジ回路を構成するスイッチ素子320~326と、インダクタ328とを含む。インダクタ328の一方の端子は、スイッチ素子320~326により構成されるフルブリッジ回路の2つの出力端子の一方に接続されている。インダクタ328の他方の端子は、第1トランス128の1次側端部(1次側巻線の両端)132の一方の端子に接続されている。スイッチ素子320~326により構成されるフルブリッジ回路の2つの出力端子の他方は、1次側端部132の他方の端子に接続されている。第1DC/ACコンバータ122は、キャパシタ124側から入力される直流電圧を交流電圧に変換してトランス128の1次側端部132に出力する。
双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、フルブリッジ回路を構成するスイッチ素子330~336と、インダクタ338とを含む。インダクタ338の一方の端子は、スイッチ素子330~336により構成されるフルブリッジ回路の1対の端子(端子部352に接続されていない1対の端子)の一方に接続されている。インダクタ338の他方の端子は、第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部(第1の2次側巻線の両端)134の一方の端子に接続されている。スイッチ素子330~336により構成されるフルブリッジ回路の1対の端子(端子部352に接続されていない1対の端子)の他方は、第1の2次側端部134の他方の端子に接続されている。この構成により、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、双方向に交流電力と直流電力とを変換できる。即ち、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部134から交流電圧が入力される場合、交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して端子部352に出力する。双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、端子部352から直流電圧が入力される場合、直流電圧を交流電圧として第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部134に出力する。これにより、外部充電時には、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、第1DC/ACコンバータ122から1次側端部132に出力される交流電圧により第1の2次側端部134から出力される交流電圧を、直流電圧に変換する。変換後の直流電圧は、高圧バッテリ106を充電するための電圧として端子部352から供給される。
一方、車両走行時に補機系負荷194の消費電力が増大した場合には、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、高圧バッテリ106から端子部352に入力される直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して第1の2次側端部134に出力する。第1の2次側端部134に交流電圧が供給されることにより、第1トランス128の第1の2次側巻線360及び第2の2次側巻線362の相互作用で第2の2次側端部136に交流電圧が発生する。第2の2次側端部136に発生した交流電圧は、第1整流回路130により直流電圧に変換され、補機系負荷194に供給される。
第1整流回路130は、スイッチ素子340及び342と、インダクタ344と、キャパシタ346とを含む。第1整流回路130の入力側(第2の2次側端部136)に接続される第2の2次側巻線362はセンタータップのコイルである。これにより、第1整流回路130は、第2の2次側巻線362に発生する交流電圧を整流し、平滑して直流電圧として端子部354から出力する。したがって、車両走行時に補機系負荷194の消費電力が増大した場合、第1整流回路130は、第2の2次側端部136から出力される交流電圧から、直流電圧を生成して端子部354から補機系負荷194に供給する。第2の2次側端部136から出力される交流電圧は、上記のように、双方向AC/DCコンバータ202から第1の2次側端部134に出力される交流電圧により第1の2次側巻線360及び第2の2次側巻線362の相互作用を介して発生した電圧である。
このように、図6の第1AC/DCコンバータ120、キャパシタ124、第1DC/ACコンバータ122、第1トランス128及び双方向AC/DCコンバータ202は、DAB(Dual Active Bridge)方式のDC/DCコンバータを構成する。したがって、それら回路は充電器として機能する。図6の双方向AC/DCコンバータ202、第1トランス128及び第1整流回路130は、フルブリッジ/センタータップ構成のDC/DCコンバータを構成し、副DC/DCコンバータとして機能する。図5の第2DC/ACコンバータ140及び第2トランス144は、それぞれ双方向AC/DCコンバータ202及び第1整流回路130と同様の回路で構成され得る。その場合、第2DC/ACコンバータ140、第2トランス144及び第2整流回路142は、フルブリッジ/センタータップ構成のDC/DCコンバータを構成し、主DC/DCコンバータとして機能する。
(第2の変形例)

図7を参照して、本変形例に係る電源システム400は、図1の電源システム100と同様に構成されている。電源システム400は、PHEV又はEVに搭載される。電源システム400は、電源システム100と次の点で異なる。即ち、電源システム100の第1AC/DCコンバータ120、第1DC/ACコンバータ122及び第2AC/DCコンバータ126(図1参照)が、それぞれ第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ402、双方向DC/ACコンバータ404及び第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406に変更されている。また、リレー160及び162には、家電製品を接続可能なコンセント(図示せず)を有する専用ケーブル等が接続され得る。
第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ402、双方向DC/ACコンバータ404及び第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406は、双方向に交流電力と直流電力とを変換する機能を有する。第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406は、第1の変形例の双方向AC/DCコンバータ202と同様に機能する。即ち、第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406は、第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部134からの出力電圧(交流電圧)が入力されると、その交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して高圧バッテリ106に供給する(リレー164及び166はオン)。また、第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406は、リレー164及び166がオンされて高圧バッテリ106から直流電圧が供給されると、その直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部134に供給する。
双方向DC/ACコンバータ404は、第1DC/ACコンバータ122と同様に、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ402から供給される直流電圧を交流に変換して、第1トランス128の1次側端部132に供給する。これに加えて、双方向DC/ACコンバータ404は、1次側端部132から供給される交流電圧を直流に変換して、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ402に供給する。上記したように、第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406に高圧バッテリ106から直流電圧が供給される場合、第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406から第1トランス128の第1の2次側端部134に交流電圧が供給される。このとき、2次側端部134に接続されたコイルは1次コイルとして機能する。また、1次側端部132に接続されたコイルは2次コイルとして機能する。これにより、1次側端部132には交流電圧が発生する。この交流電圧は、双方向DC/ACコンバータ404に供給される。
第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ402は、第1AC/DCコンバータ120と同様に、リレー160及び162を介して外部から供給される交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して出力する。これに加えて、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ402は、双方向DC/ACコンバータ404から供給される直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して、リレー160及び162に出力する。
したがって、上記したように、リレー164及び166をオンして高圧バッテリ106から第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406に直流電圧を供給することにより、リレー160及び162から交流電圧を出力できる。リレー160及び162に、コンセントを有する専用ケーブル等を接続すれば、コンセントに接続された負荷408(家電製品等)が使用可能になる。このときの電流方向を、図7において太い矢印で示す。
図6に示した回路は、図7の第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ402、双方向DC/ACコンバータ404及び第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406の回路の一例でもある。即ち、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ402は図6の第1AC/DCコンバータ120と同様の回路に構成され得る。双方向DC/ACコンバータ404及び第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406は、それぞれ図6の第1DC/ACコンバータ122及び双方向AC/DCコンバータ202と同様の回路に構成され得る。
即ち、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ402は、インダクタ300及び302と、フルブリッジ回路を構成するスイッチ素子310~316とを含むように構成され得る。双方向DC/ACコンバータ404は、フルブリッジ回路を構成するスイッチ素子320~326と、そのフルブリッジ回路の1対の端子(キャパシタ124に接続されていない1対の端子)の一方に接続されたインダクタ328とを含むように構成され得る。第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406は、フルブリッジ回路を構成するスイッチ素子330~336と、そのフルブリッジ回路の1対の端子(端子部352に接続されていない1対の端子)の一方に接続されたインダクタ338とを含むように構成され得る。
これにより、端子部352(図6参照)から直流電圧が入力されると、第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ406が、入力される直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して出力する。続いて、双方向DC/ACコンバータ404が、入力される交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して出力する。続いて、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ402が、入力される直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して出力する。これにより、端子部350から家庭用電力と同等の交流電力が供給される。
(第2実施形態)
第1実施形態の電源システムは、外部充電機能を有する車両(PHEV又はEV等)に搭載された。バッテリを含む電源システムは、外部充電機能を有さず、内部充電機能を有するハイブリッド車等にも搭載される。そのような車両に対しても、より小型化でき、当該車両に占める空間割合を低減できる電源システムを提供できれば好ましい。第2実施形態はこれを目的とする。以下、ハイブリッド車をHEV(Hybrid Electric Vehicle)という。
第1実施形態の電源システムは、外部充電機能を有する車両(PHEV又はEV等)に搭載された。バッテリを含む電源システムは、外部充電機能を有さず、内部充電機能を有するハイブリッド車等にも搭載される。そのような車両に対しても、より小型化でき、当該車両に占める空間割合を低減できる電源システムを提供できれば好ましい。第2実施形態はこれを目的とする。以下、ハイブリッド車をHEV(Hybrid Electric Vehicle)という。
HEVにおいて、電源効率向上及び自動運転に関する冗長性確保のために、高電圧、48V及び12Vの3種類の直流電源電圧(以下、3電源系という)が必要である。同じ出力のモータ又はジェネレータを使用する場合、駆動電圧を高くすれば電流を低減できるので、48Vの電源を採用すると、12Vの電源よりもハーネスを小型化し軽量化できる。したがって、車両重量の軽量化につながる。電流が低減できれば、消費電力も低減できる。また、複数の電源ラインを備えていれば、一部の電源ラインに支障が生じた場合、残りの電源ラインにより電力供給を補うことができる。第2実施形態は、これを目的とするものでもある。
図8を参照して、第2実施形態に係る電源システム500は、高圧バッテリ106、第1低圧バッテリ506、第2低圧バッテリ508、第1主DC/DCコンバータ502、副DC/DCコンバータ504及び第2主DC/DCコンバータ510を含む。電源システム500はさらに、補機系負荷194、負荷518、キャパシタ524及び538、並びに、リレー568及び570を含む。第1主DC/DCコンバータ502、副DC/DCコンバータ504及び第2主DC/DCコンバータ510はそれぞれ、第1、第2及び第3の電力供給回路として機能する。高圧バッテリ106、第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508はそれぞれ、第1、第2及び第3の蓄電池として機能する。第1主DC/DCコンバータ502、副DC/DCコンバータ504及び第2主DC/DCコンバータ510を構成する素子(例えば、半導体素子)を作動させるための電力は、HV-ECU114から供給される。図8においては便宜上、第1主DC/DCコンバータ502及び副DC/DCコンバータ504への電力供給線は図示していない。図8において、図1と同じ符号を付した構成は同じものであり、同じ機能を有する。したがって、それらに関しては重複説明を繰返さない。
電源システム500は、HEV等の外部充電機能を有していない車両に搭載される。図8において、高電圧バッテリ106を充電するための車両内部の機構に関しては図示していない。HEVはエンジン、ジェネレータ及びモータを搭載する。エンジン、ジェネレータ及びモータが車両走行時にどのように使用されるかに関して、種々の方式が知られている。例えば、車両走行のために主としてエンジンが使用され、車両の発進時又は加速時等のパワーが必要なときに、バッテリ(高電圧バッテリ等)によりモータを稼働させ、車両走行を補助する。高電圧バッテリ106は、エンジンによるジェネレータの駆動により、又は、エネルギー回生(車両減速時にモータをジェネレータとして機能させる)により充電される。
高圧バッテリ106は、モータを駆動するために高電圧(例えば、約300V)を出力する。第1低圧バッテリ506は、例えば充放電電圧48Vの蓄電池である。第2低圧バッテリ508は、例えば充放電電圧12Vの蓄電池である。
第1主DC/DCコンバータ502は、DC/ACコンバータ522、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526及び第1トランス528を含む。DC/ACコンバータ522は電力変換回路として機能する。DC/ACコンバータ522の入力端はキャパシタ524の両端に接続されている。第1トランス528は、DC/ACコンバータ522の出力端及び第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526の入力端を接続する。キャパシタ524は、リレー568及び570を介して高圧バッテリ106に並列に接続されている。第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526の出力端は、並列接続された第1低圧バッテリ506及びキャパシタ538に接続されている。
DC/ACコンバータ522は、高圧バッテリ106からキャパシタ524を介して入力される直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して出力する。DC/ACコンバータ522はインバータとして機能する。第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526は、入力される交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して出力し、第1低圧バッテリ506及び負荷518に供給する。負荷518は、補機系負荷194以外の補機系負荷を含む。第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526に入力される交流電圧は、第1トランス528の1次側端部532にDC/ACコンバータ522の交流出力が供給されることにより、第1トランス528の第1の2次側端部534に発生する交流電圧である。
第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526の出力電圧は、第1低圧バッテリ506を充電するのに適した電圧値であることが好ましい。第1低圧バッテリ506の充電に適した電圧(例えば48V)を生成するには、それに適した変圧比(1次側と2次側の電圧比)の第1トランス528を使用すればよい。即ち、1次側端部532と第1の2次側端部534との電圧比が適切な第1トランス528を使用することにより、第1低圧バッテリ506に適した充電電圧を生成できる。
副DC/DCコンバータ504は、DC/ACコンバータ522、第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530及び第1トランス528を含む。第1トランス528は、DC/ACコンバータ522の出力端及び第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530の入力端を接続する。第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530は、入力される交流電圧を整流及び平滑化し、直流電圧を出力する。第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530に入力される交流電圧は、第1トランス528の1次側端部532にDC/ACコンバータ522の交流出力が供給されることにより、第1トランス528の第2の2次側端部536に発生する交流電圧である。第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530の出力端は、第2低圧バッテリ508及び補機系負荷194に接続されている。このように、DC/ACコンバータ522は、副DC/DCコンバータ504の構成要素であり、同時に、上記したように第1主DC/DCコンバータ502の構成要素でもある。即ち、DC/ACコンバータ522は、第1主DC/DCコンバータ502及び副DC/DCコンバータ504により共有されている。
第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530の出力電圧は、第2低圧バッテリ508を充電するのに適した電圧値であることが好ましい。第2低圧バッテリ508の充電に適した電圧(例えば12V)を生成するには、それに適した変圧比(1次側と2次側の電圧比)の第1トランス528を使用すればよい。即ち、1次側端部532と第2の2次側端部536との電圧比が適切な第1トランス528を使用することにより、第2低圧バッテリ508に適した充電電圧を生成できる。
(車両走行時の動作)

リレー568及び570がオンすると、高圧バッテリ106からの直流電圧がDC/ACコンバータ522に供給される。それにより、上記したように、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526の出力電圧が発生する。その出力電圧は第1低圧バッテリ506及び負荷518に供給される(太い実線の矢印参照)。これにより、第1低圧バッテリ506は充電され得る。また、高圧バッテリ106からの直流電圧がDC/ACコンバータ522に供給されることにより、上記したように、第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530の出力電圧が発生する。その出力電圧は第2低圧バッテリ508及び補機系負荷194に供給される(破線の矢印参照)。これにより、第2低圧バッテリ508は充電され得る。
DC/ACコンバータ522は、第1主DC/DCコンバータ502及び副DC/DCコンバータ504に共通の構成要素となっている。したがって、3電源系を含む電源システム500は、主DC/DCコンバータと副DC/DCコンバータとを分離して構成する場合よりも小型であり、車両に搭載された場合、車両に占める空間割合をより低減できる。加えて、このように構成すれば、3電源系を含む電源システムを小型化しながら、各部品の耐久性及び車両全体での電源効率を向上させることができる。
(低圧バッテリ間の電力供給)
電源システム500は、第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間で双方向に電力を供給する経路を複数有する。第1の経路による第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間の電力供給状態を図10に示す。第2の経路による第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間の電力供給状態を図11に示す。
電源システム500は、第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間で双方向に電力を供給する経路を複数有する。第1の経路による第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間の電力供給状態を図10に示す。第2の経路による第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間の電力供給状態を図11に示す。
図10を参照して、第1の経路に関して説明する。第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526は、双方向に交流電力と直流電力とを変換する機能を有する。これにより、リレー568及び570がOFFされた状態で、第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508の間で双方向に電力を供給できる。図10において、電流方向を太い実線の矢印及び破線の矢印で示す。
即ち、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526は、第1トランス528の第1の2次側端部534からの出力電圧(交流電圧)が入力され、その交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して出力し、第1低圧バッテリ506に供給する。これに加えて、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526は、第1低圧バッテリ506から直流電圧が入力されると、その直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して出力し、第1トランス528の第1の2次側端部534に供給する。これにより、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526、第1トランス528及び第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530は、副DC/DCコンバータ554として機能する。即ち、副DC/DCコンバータ554を介して、第1低圧バッテリ506から第2低圧バッテリ508に電力を供給できる(太い実線の矢印参照)。したがって、補機系負荷194にも第1低圧バッテリ506からの電力が供給される。また、副DC/DCコンバータ554を介して、第2低圧バッテリ508から第1低圧バッテリ506に電力を供給できる(破線の矢印参照)。負荷518にも第2低圧バッテリ508からの電力が供給される。
図11を参照して、第2の経路に関して説明する。第3双方向AC/DCコンバータ540及び双方向DC/ACコンバータ542の各々は、双方向に直流電力と交流電力とを変換する機能を有する。これにより、リレー568及び570がOFFされた状態で、第2主DC/DCコンバータ510を介して第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508の間で双方向に電力を供給できる。図11において、電流方向を太い実線の矢印及び破線の矢印で示す。
即ち、第3双方向AC/DCコンバータ540は、第1低圧バッテリ506から入力される直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して、第2トランス544の2次側端部548に入力する。これにより第2トランス544の1次側端部546に交流電圧が発生し、その交流電圧は双方向DC/ACコンバータ542に入力される。双方向DC/ACコンバータ542は、入力される交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して第2低圧バッテリ508に供給する(太い実線の矢印参照)。補機系負荷194にも第1低圧バッテリ506からの電力が供給される。また、双方向DC/ACコンバータ542は、第2低圧バッテリ508から入力される直流電力を、交流電力に変換し、第2トランス544の1次側端部546に入力する。これにより、第2トランス544の2次側端部548に交流電圧が発生し、その交流電圧は第3双方向AC/DCコンバータ540に入力される。第3双方向AC/DCコンバータ540は、入力される交流電圧を直流電圧に変換して第1低圧バッテリ506に供給する(破線の矢印参照)。負荷518にも第2低圧バッテリ508からの電力が供給される。
低圧バッテリ間で双方向に電力供給可能にすることにより、電源効率を向上できる。例えば、各低圧バッテリの状態に応じて、各負荷に効率的に電力供給できる。また、双方向の電力供給経路を複数備えることにより、電力供給の冗長性を実現できる。したがって、より信頼性の高い電源システムを実現できる。
図8のDC/DCコンバータ502、副DC/DCコンバータ504及び第2主DC/DCコンバータ510の回路例に関して、図6を参照して説明する。DC/ACコンバータ522及び第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526はそれぞれ、図6の第1DC/ACコンバータ122及び双方向AC/DCコンバータ202と同様の回路に構成される。即ち、第1主DC/DCコンバータ502は、DAB方式の双方向DC/DCコンバータを構成する。第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530は、図6の第1整流回路130と同様の回路に構成される。双方向DC/ACコンバータ542及び第3双方向AC/DCコンバータ540はそれぞれ、図6の第1DC/ACコンバータ122及び双方向AC/DCコンバータ202と同様の回路に構成される。即ち、第2主DC/DCコンバータ510は、DAB方式の双方向DC/DCコンバータを構成する。なお、第2主DC/DCコンバータ510は、DAB方式のコンバータに限定されない。第2主DC/DCコンバータ510は、トランスを用いる絶縁型DC/DCコンバータであっても、チョッパ方式等の非絶縁型DC/DCコンバータであってもよい。
(第3の変形例)
外部充電機能を有する車両(PHEV及びEVを含む)においても、上記の第2実施形態と同様に、電源効率向上及び自動運転に関する冗長性確保のために、高電圧、48V及び12Vの3電源系を採用できれば好ましい。第3の変形例はこれを目的とする。

図12を参照して、本変形例に係る電源システム600は、図1の電源システム100と図8の電源システム500とを組合せて構成されている。2点鎖線で囲んだサブシステム650は図1の電源システム100に対応する。サブシステム650以外の構成要素は、図8の電源システム500に含まれる構成要素と同じである。図12において、図1及び図8と同じ符号を付した構成は、同じものであり、同じ機能を有する。したがって、主として異なる点を説明し、重複説明を繰返さない。
サブシステム650は、図1に示したように、リレー168及び170と、それらを介して高圧バッテリ106に接続されたPCU118及び駆動部192と、PCU118を制御するためのMG-ECU116とを含むが、便宜上、図12には図示していない。また、便宜上、図12において、図1の低圧バッテリ108を第2低圧バッテリ508で代替している。
副DC/DCコンバータ604は、図1の主DC/DCコンバータ110に対応し、電力供給回路として機能する。副DC/DCコンバータ604は、第3DC/ACコンバータ622、第3トランス628及び第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530を含む。第3DC/ACコンバータ622、第3トランス628及び第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530はそれぞれ、図1の第2DC/ACコンバータ140、第2トランス144及び第2整流回路142に対応する。図12において便宜上、図8のDC/ACコンバータ522及び第1トランス528を、第3DC/ACコンバータ622及び第3トランス628で代替している。即ち、副DC/DCコンバータ604は、図8の副DC/DCコンバータ504に対応する。これにより、副DC/DCコンバータ604は、図1の主DC/DCコンバータ110と同様の機能を有する。但し、第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530は、双方向に交流電力と直流電力とを変換する機能を有する点で、図1の第2整流回路142と異なる。
上記したように便宜上、図8のDC/ACコンバータ522を、第3DC/ACコンバータ622で代替しており、第1主DC/DCコンバータ602は、図8の第1主DC/DCコンバータ502に対応する。即ち、第1主DC/DCコンバータ602は、図8の第1主DC/DCコンバータ502と同じ機能を有する。
(外部充電時の動作)
外部充電時に、リレー160~166がオンすると、図3と同様に、交流電源190からの交流電圧から生成された直流電圧(第2AC/DCコンバータ126の出力電圧)が高圧バッテリ106に供給され、高圧バッテリ106が充電される。また、交流電源190から供給される交流電圧から生成された直流電圧(第1整流回路130の出力電圧)が第2低圧バッテリ508に供給され、第2低圧バッテリ508は充電される。
外部充電時に、リレー160~166がオンすると、図3と同様に、交流電源190からの交流電圧から生成された直流電圧(第2AC/DCコンバータ126の出力電圧)が高圧バッテリ106に供給され、高圧バッテリ106が充電される。また、交流電源190から供給される交流電圧から生成された直流電圧(第1整流回路130の出力電圧)が第2低圧バッテリ508に供給され、第2低圧バッテリ508は充電される。
第1整流回路130の出力電圧(直流電圧)は、第2主DC/DCコンバータ510を介して第1低圧バッテリ506にも供給され得る(図11参照)。これにより、リレー568及び570がオフの状態で、第1低圧バッテリ506は充電される。また、第1整流回路130の出力電圧は、第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530、第3トランス628及び第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526(図10参照)を介しても、第1低圧バッテリ506に供給され得る。これによっても、リレー568及び570がオフの状態で、第1低圧バッテリ506は充電され得る。
(車両走行時の動作)
車両走行時には、リレー164及び166がオフされ、リレー568及び570がオンされる。これにより、図9(太い実線の矢印及び破線の矢印参照)に示したのと同様に電力(電流)が供給される。即ち、高圧バッテリ106から第1主DC/DCコンバータ602を介して、第1低圧バッテリ506及び負荷518に電力が供給される。また、高圧バッテリ106から副DC/DCコンバータ604を介して、第2低圧バッテリ508及び補機系負荷194に電力が供給される。
車両走行時には、リレー164及び166がオフされ、リレー568及び570がオンされる。これにより、図9(太い実線の矢印及び破線の矢印参照)に示したのと同様に電力(電流)が供給される。即ち、高圧バッテリ106から第1主DC/DCコンバータ602を介して、第1低圧バッテリ506及び負荷518に電力が供給される。また、高圧バッテリ106から副DC/DCコンバータ604を介して、第2低圧バッテリ508及び補機系負荷194に電力が供給される。
電源システム600において、図1の電源システム100と同様に、第1DC/ACコンバータ122は、充電器102及び副DC/DCコンバータ104に共通の構成要素となっている。また、電源システム600において、図8の電源システム500と同様に、第3DC/ACコンバータ622は、第1主DC/DCコンバータ602及び副DC/DCコンバータ604に共通の構成要素となっている。したがって、3電源系を含む電源システム600は、主DC/DCコンバータと副DC/DCコンバータとを分離して構成する場合よりも小型であり、車両に搭載された場合、車両に占める空間割合をより低減できる。加えて、このように構成すれば、3電源系を含む電源システムを小型化しながら、各部品の耐久性及び車両全体での電源効率を向上させることができる。
(低圧バッテリ間の電力供給)
電源システム600は、図8の電源システム500と同様に、第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間で双方向に電力を供給する経路を複数有する。第1の経路は、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526、第3トランス628及び第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530を介して、第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間で双方向に電力を供給する経路である(図10参照)。第2の経路は、第2主DC/DCコンバータ510を介して、第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間で双方向に電力を供給する経路である(図11参照)。
電源システム600は、図8の電源システム500と同様に、第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間で双方向に電力を供給する経路を複数有する。第1の経路は、第1双方向AC/DCコンバータ526、第3トランス628及び第2双方向AC/DCコンバータ530を介して、第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間で双方向に電力を供給する経路である(図10参照)。第2の経路は、第2主DC/DCコンバータ510を介して、第1低圧バッテリ506及び第2低圧バッテリ508間で双方向に電力を供給する経路である(図11参照)。
低圧バッテリ間で双方向に電力供給可能にすることにより、電源効率を向上できる。例えば、各低圧バッテリの状態に応じて、各負荷に効率的に電力供給できる。また、双方向の電力供給経路を複数備えることにより、電力供給の冗長性を実現できる。したがって、より信頼性の高い電源システムを実現できる。
上記では、電源システム100、200、400、500及び600は、車両(PHEV、EV又はHEV)に搭載される場合を説明したが、これに限定されない。電源システム100、200、400、500及び600は、車両以外の装置に搭載されてもよい。
以上、実施の形態を説明することにより本発明を説明したが、上記した実施の形態は例示であって、本発明は上記した実施の形態のみに制限されるわけではない。本発明の範囲は、発明の詳細な説明の記載を参酌した上で、請求の範囲の各請求項によって示され、そこに記載された文言と均等の意味及び範囲内での全ての変更を含む。

Claims (13)
- 第1の蓄電池に電力を供給する第1の電力供給回路と、
前記第1の電力供給回路に電気的に接続され、第2の蓄電池に電力を供給する第2の電力供給回路とを含み、
前記第1の電力供給回路は、第1の電力変換回路を含み、
前記第2の電力供給回路は、前記第1の電力変換回路を前記第2の電力供給回路の一部として用いて前記第2の蓄電池に供給する電力を生成する、電源システム。 - 前記第1の電力変換回路は、力率改善回路と、前記力率改善回路に接続されるインバータ回路とを含む、請求項1に記載の電源システム。
- 前記第1の電力供給回路は、
1次側が前記第1の電力変換回路に接続されるトランスと、
前記トランスの第1の2次側に接続されるコンバータとをさらに含み、
前記コンバータは、前記トランスの前記第1の2次側から出力される電力を変換して前記第1の蓄電池に供給する、請求項1又は2に記載の電源システム。 - 前記第2の電力供給回路は、前記トランスの第2の2次側に接続される整流回路を含み、
前記整流回路は、前記トランスの前記第2の2次側から出力される電力を整流して前記第2の蓄電池に供給する、請求項3に記載の電源システム。 - 前記コンバータは双方向であり、
前記コンバータは、
前記トランスの前記第1の2次側から電力が入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して前記第1の蓄電池に出力し、
前記第1の蓄電池から電力が入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して前記トランスの前記第1の2次側に出力する、請求項4に記載の電源システム。 - 前記第1の蓄電池からの電力を変換する第3の電力供給回路をさらに含み、
前記第2の電力供給回路は、前記コンバータが前記トランスの前記第1の2次側に電力を出力したことを受けて、前記第3の電力供給回路と共に、前記第2の蓄電池に電力を供給する、請求項5に記載の電源システム。 - 第3の蓄電池と、
前記第1の蓄電池の出力電力を前記第3の蓄電池に供給する第4の電力供給回路と、
前記第1の蓄電池の出力電力を前記第2の蓄電池に供給する第5の電力供給回路とをさらに含み、
前記第4の電力供給回路は、第2の電力変換回路を含み、
前記第5の電力供給回路は、前記第2の電力変換回路を前記第5の電力供給回路の一部として用いて前記第2の蓄電池に供給する電力を生成する、請求項1に記載の電源システム。 - 前記第4の電力供給回路及び前記第5の電力供給回路は、
前記第2の蓄電池から電力が前記第5の電力供給回路に入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して前記第4の電力供給回路から前記第3の蓄電池に供給し、
前記第3の蓄電池から電力が前記第4の電力供給回路に入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して前記第5の電力供給回路から前記第2の蓄電池に供給する、請求項7に記載の電源システム。 - 第6の電力供給回路をさらに含み、
前記第6の電力供給回路は、
前記第2の蓄電池から電力が入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して前記第3の蓄電池に供給し、
前記第3の蓄電池から電力が入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して前記第2の蓄電池に供給する、請求項7又は請求項8に記載の電源システム。 - 第1の蓄電池と、
第2の蓄電池と、
第3の蓄電池と、
前記第1の蓄電池の出力電力を前記第2の蓄電池に供給する第1の電力供給回路と、
前記第1の蓄電池の出力電力を前記第3の蓄電池に供給する第2の電力供給回路とを含み、
前記第1の電力供給回路は、電力変換回路を含み、
前記第2の電力供給回路は、前記電力変換回路を前記第2の電力供給回路の一部として用いて前記第3の蓄電池に供給する電力を生成する、電源システム。 - 前記第1の電力供給回路及び前記第2の電力供給回路は、
前記第2の蓄電池から電力が前記第1の電力供給回路に入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して前記第2の電力供給回路から前記第3の蓄電池に供給し、
前記第3の蓄電池から電力が前記第2の電力供給回路に入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して前記第1の電力供給回路から前記第2の蓄電池に供給する、請求項10に記載の電源システム。 - 第3の電力供給回路をさらに含み、
前記第3の電力供給回路は、
前記第2の蓄電池から電力が入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して前記第3の蓄電池に供給し、
前記第3の蓄電池から電力が入力されたことを受けて、当該電力を変換して前記第2の蓄電池に供給する、請求項10又は請求項11に記載の電源システム。 - 請求項1から請求項12のいずれか1項に記載の電源システムと、
前記電源システムから電力が供給される機器とを備える車両。
