Abstract

A frame assembly (1) comprising upstanding left-hand and right-hand first members (4) and (5) joined by upper and lower cross-members (7) and (8). Connecting devices (10) adjustably connect the upper and lower cross-members (7) and (8) to the first members (4) and (5). Each connecting device comprises a body member (37) formed by a pair of side walls (38) which are joined by an end wall (39) together defining a hollow interior region (44) within which a guide member (55) is located and secured to the end wall (39). The body member (37) of each connecting device (10) is located in a hollow interior region (20) of the corresponding one of the first members (4) and (5) with the guide member (55) extending through a side opening (24) for slideably engaging a channel (28) in a corresponding end (79) of a corresponding one of the upper and lower cross-members (7) and (8). A limit member (60) on the engagement member (55) engages a corresponding limit slot (62) the corresponding one of the upper and lower cross-members (7) and (8) for limiting sliding movement of the corresponding one of the upper and lower cross-members (7) and (8) on the guide member (55). A grub screw (64) in the guide member (55) secure the guide members (55) to the corresponding upper and lower cross-members (7) and (8).
