Abstract
The invention relates to a vehicle simulation system and method which enables modelling of the vehicle and development of the software during design works of the vehicle or during software development stage, which is cloud-based and is able to communicate real-timely. The invention particularly relates to a vehicle simulation system and method which can connect to real- time navigation and external map providing systems that are used for controlling and executing enhancement works by computing the vehicle performance.
Description
VEHICLE SIMULATION SYSTEM AND METHOD WHICH IS ABLE TO
COMMUNICATE REAL-TIMELY
Related Technical Field of the Invention:
The invention relates to a vehicle simulation system and method which enables modelling of the vehicle and development of the software during design works of the vehicle or during software development stage, which is cloud-based and is able to communicate in real-time.
The invention particularly relates to a vehicle simulation system and method which can connect to real-time navigation and external map providing systems that are used for controlling and executing enhancement works by computing the vehicle performance .
State of the Art:
Modelling of the vehicle and development of the software and controlling and executing enhancement works by computing the performance during design works of the vehicle or software development stage are necessary. At the same time, it is of great importance that these studies are directed towards the correct parametric values of the vehicle by the learning algorithms by being consistently compared with the real value.
In vehicle designs, not only one group but more than one group can work separately and these works are compiled together, thus enhancing and improving the vehicle functions.
The fact that multiple research groups work together on one vehicle system and software and execute this in a realistic environment enables earlier testing of accuracy of the developed program. The product obtained as a result of this study
significantly increases and accelerates the quality of the development process. Therefore, it has become essential to work independently remotely and to integrate new modules into such a complex system accurately.
After preliminary research about the state of the art, the patent document numbered "2011/05923" has been examined. The subject matter of said invention discloses in its abstract section the following information: "An experiment assembly having a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) on which the software is installed in order to test automation programs to be newly used on vehicle production assembly lines before use, characterized in that it comprises a label on which information is written for enabling the transfer of information of parts on assembly lines to said PLC; a reader head to which said label is placed and recorded information thereon is transferred and a communication tool, which is connected to the reader head, receiving the label information from said reader head and editing for transferring them to PLC" .
After preliminary research about the state of the art, the patent document numbered "CN106131126" has been examined. The subject matter invention discloses a remote management technology of vehicle information, specifically a vehicle management system based on internet of vehicle cloud platform service. This subject matter system comprises a vehicular information terminal, a locating module, a vehicle data receiving module and a communication module. The center of the vehicle information terminal consists of three networks. Among these, the locating data collection network is composed of the locating module and the locating satellite in the vehicular information terminal.
After preliminary research about the state of the art, the patent document numbered "CN105306298" has been examined. The subject matter invention relates to a vehicle network based remote
wireless testing system and testing method. This subject matter system comprises a vehicle network main testing device, a network server and a browser terminal.
The the state of the art vehicle technologies have become very complex over time and by developing accumulations. The simulation system configuration is fixed by the manufacturer and cannot be changed by the user. Furthermore, the fact that the system cannot be compared with real values in real time significantly increases the product development process. The systems for vehicle simulations are generally not suitable for multi-tasking. The system is pre-designed and making changes thereon is very difficult. In addition, real-time navigation cannot connect to external map providing systems.
As a result, due to the above-mentioned problems and because of the inadequacy of the existing solutions, it has become necessary to make an improvement in the technical field.
Obj ect of the Invention :
The most important object of the invention is that it allows for multitasking and very easy connection to external data providing systems .
Another object of the invention is that it is a platform module that is open for improvement remotely independent of the place and environment of location. By this means, the system is capable of automatically detecting the changes on modules and synchronizing accurately with other users.
Another object of the invention is that it can be optionally programmed by the users in such a way that it can be connected to real-time navigation, 3D map systems and traffic management systems .
A further object of the invention is that the user can change the software architecture. Thus, the user can realize desired additions according to the needs, software modules can be prepared in compliance with the software architecture, version tracking is allowed and architecture can be changed.
A further object of the invention is that the system can be operated with remote connection and simulation results can be obtained .
Another object of the invention is that it makes it possible to use desired coding method for software modules.
A further object of the invention is that the system can be programmed by the user to receive any real-time information by connecting to the cloud.
Another object of the invention is that the system is an open system. Thus, results can be controlled by preparing different version for a module by confirming externally and the system users can operate the modules they designed synchronically with the modules developed by other users and carry out their own tests. Furthermore, users can realize performance comparisons of modules they developed with the modules developed by others. Description of the Invention:
The subject matter vehicle simulation system and method enables modelling of the vehicle and development of the software during design works of the vehicle or during software development stage. Vehicle simulation system capable of operating based on Cloud allows for real-time communication. Furthermore, the system is able to connect with a real-time navigation and external map providing systems.
The subject matter vehicle simulation system mainly comprises a synchronization server available for remote access, main server, user personal computer and simulator website.
The synchronization service available for remote access ensures that the developments performed by the user is checked and updates are realized. It ensures that module versions are stored and user authorization processes are performed. Furthermore, beside storing the versions, it also ensures making comparison between versions. Thus, the effect of added changes to the system can be determined and switching between the versions can be performed easily. The user can share the modules developed on his/her personal computer to the available synchronization server and download the latest modules shared by other users. Furthermore, every changes made by users is monitored by the
available synchronization server and updates are tested and transmitted to the main server.
The main server consists of a live integration system, simulator software, and simulation startup interface. After the user creates the modules on his/her personal computer, he/she logs in the vehicle simulation system through the website. The user who logged in the system through the website transmits his/her modules to the synchronization server. The synchronization server checks developments carried out by user and performs the updating. Every changes made by users is monitored by the synchronization server and updates are tested and transmitted to the main server. The module developed by the user is tested by the live integration system and its synchronization is realized. The live integration system receives the new module information developed by the user and transmits the command to the simulation software to operate the system by realizing the required configurations. The modules operated by the software are sent to the user by being reported through the simulation interface.

Claims
1. A vehicle simulation system which enables modelling of the vehicles and development of the software during design works of the vehicle or during software development stage, characterized in that, it comprises the following;
• A synchronization service available for remote access which ensures that developments carried out by user are controlled and updating is performed, and that module versions are stored and user authorization processes are conducted,
• A live integration system which ensures that new module information developed by the users is obtained, and that the developed module is tested and synchronized; A simulator startup interface which allows users to configure and operate the system, and the resulting reports are forwarded to the user; A main server which comprises a simulator software which ensures that users connect and log in the system, modules are operated, reports are sent by e-mail depending on the configuration,
• A simulator website which allows the simulation interface to be displayed and allows the user to access the simulator software.
2 . A vehicle simulation system according to Claim 1, characterized in that, the vehicle simulation system method comprises the following process steps;
- After the user creates modules on his/her personal computer, he/she logs in the vehicle simulation system through the website,
- The user who logged in the system through the website transmits his/her modules to the synchronization server,
- The synchronization server checks developments carried out by user and performs the updating,
- Every changes made by users is monitored by the synchronization server and updates are tested and transmitted to the main server,
- The module developed by the user is tested by the live integration system and its synchronization is realized,
- The live integration system receives the new module information developed by the user and transmits the command to the simulation software to operate the system by realizing the required configurations,
- The modules operated by the software are sent to the user by being reported through the simulation interface.
3 . A vehicle simulation system according to Claim 1, characterized in that, it comprises the available synchronization server through which the user can share the modules developed on his/her personal computer and download the latest modules shared by other users.
4 . A vehicle simulation system according to Claim 1, characterized in that, it comprises the synchronization server which allows for every change made by users to be
monitored and updates to be tested and transmitted to the main server.
5 . A vehicle simulation system according to Claim 1, characterized in that, it comprises the main server which ensures that the output desired to be obtained from simulation result is stored during the real test and are real-timely compared with the values obtained from the simulation .
6. A vehicle simulation system according to Claim 1 or Claim 5, characterized in that, the outputs that are desired to be obtained from the simulation result are energy, emission, fuel consumption and similar real values.
7 . A vehicle simulation system according to Claim 1, characterized in that, the simulation system comprises a software that allows for obtaining data by changing its parameters using the real data during the real tests, thus developing a more precise vehicle model giving better predictive control system
