Description

Urine Taking Apparatus
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to a urine taking apparatus with diaper providing taking full urine analysis (FUA) for children or toddlers whose toilet training is not completed yet.
Known Art
Today urinary system infections are seen in all age groups. Urine should be taken and Full Urine Analysis (FUA) should be made in order to discover existence of urinary system infection. Various urine containers are used for taking urine samples from adult individuals. Flowever, difficulties are experienced in taking urine samples for FUA from children and toddlers not having completed toilet training yet with whom such containers can not be used.
In related art it is considerably common to use sticky urine bag for taking urine samples from children and toddlers who have not completed toilet training yet. In such application, sticky part is stuck onto user’s skin and diaper is put on. Flowever, various problems are experienced with this application. One of them is that bag slides because of removal of sticky part and thereafter bag is completely removed and so adequate amount of urine can not be taken. Another problem is that whether or not bag is full is to be checked periodically as the diaper is put on urine bag, and urine bag goes out again during checking. Also failure to take urine samples due to repeated checks may cause stress in family and baby.
Also in the available application, production of infection as a result of contact of urine bag to stool may cause various problems. False-positive rate results due to contact with stool may increase and baby may feel disturbance because urine bag remaining in the diaper. In another application, in cases when urine sample is not taken for a long time because of use of urine bag as explained above, urine is taken by means of injection from suprapubic area of baby. However, taking urine sample by invasive methods not only causes pains for baby but also increases risk of infection.
The application numbered TR201 1/06942 discovered when the searching of matter is conducted discloses a test system fixed onto face of the baby or adult diaper facing user and experiencing visual change when contacting urine. The application can only test values of members provided in the diaper but fails to evaluate other issues such as urine colour, odour, quantity etc.
Another application numbered TR2017/23130 encountered when searching the matter discloses underwear specifically produced in various sizes for babies and also analysis strip again specifically developed. The application can only test values provided in the analysis stripe but fails to evaluate other issues such as urine colour, odour, quantity etc. In addition, removal of stripe placed in diaper there from and comparison with test items increases work load of physician to diagnose and makes it difficult to record results.
The application numbered 2018/05834 discovered again during searching of the matter discloses urine analysis apparatus integrated into diaper facilitating early diagnosis of unnoticed urinary tract infections, easily applicable outside hospital, comprising leukocyte esterase marker and nitrite marker sections. The application can only test values of members provided in the diaper but fails to evaluate other issues such as urine colour, odour, quantity etc. Furthermore, although easily applicable outside hospital can be considered as a good characteristic, it has some negative aspects too. In a case when urinary tract infection is found positive when this diaper is applied outside hospital, the family needs to apply to hospital for treatment. The health care professionals to give service may not know how to use the diaper, may not trust the results thereof or prefer to record in hospital laboratory system that the urinary infection is positive. For such reasons, repetition of urine analysis may be requested.
The application numbered TR2014/08571 discovered upon searching made regarding the matter relates to a warning system associated with sampling bag detecting initial urine flowing onto sample bag to take sample from toddler or children and predetermined level of urine at sample bag and giving signal. Also in the document toddler or child has his/her urine directly into diaper not capable to absorb. Contact of urine to stool is probable as the urine is collected in urine bag by help of gasket in this application. In particular, the new born infants are likely to have stool while having urine during initial 6 months. In addition, the invention discloses that after collection of urine, it is removed from gasket and urine bag is delivered to laboratory. Removing directly from gasket without having discharge tap, and sending bag for analysis may cause burst of urine bag, splashing into environment while discharging urine into tubes and spread of infection as a result of splashing.
The application numbered TR2018/05827 encountered when searching the related area discloses an embodiment developed for taking clean-catch for new born infants and nurseling and targeting at reducing invasive attempts rate and complications arising from such invasive attempts. The application also discloses a discharge apparatus developed from rubber located in lower part of urine bag and providing taking urine in a sterile way by injection. However, as use of injector requires professionalism, a health care professional is needed for sending urine to laboratory. The embodiment disclosed under the application is eligible for clean-catchd analysis but not for FUA taking. In addition, this embodiment/apparatus may cause infection and contamination at the place of insertion.
As a result, due to above described disadvantages and inadequacy of existing solutions it has been necessary to make development in the related art.
Brief Description of the Invention
The present invention relates to an urine sample taking apparatus meeting the needs mentioned above, eliminating all disadvantages and providing some additional advantages.
Main purpose of invention is to provide easy urine sampling for analysis for diagnosing urinary system infections for toddlers and infants not having completed toilet training yet. Thus, because early analysis is conducted, diagnosis and treatment problems will be eliminated and unnecessary medication utilization will be prevented.
Another purpose of the invention is to provide contribution to taking analysis of adequate amount without displacing urine taking apparatus with diaper.
A further purpose of the invention is to provide contribution to less stress for parents and babies for early analysis by help of urine taking apparatus with diaper. Another purpose of the invention is to make it easier to check whether or not urine flows by help of urine bag with one end outside and scale. Thus it will not be needed to check there is urine or not frequently.
Another purpose of the invention is to contact baby’s skin less and not causing disturbance by help of urine taking apparatus with diaper with one end outside.
A similar purpose of the invention is to eliminate problems of folding by help of urine taking apparatus with diaper with one end outside and provide collection of urine bag easily.
Another similar purpose of the invention is to develop a urine taking apparatus reducing contact with stool as it has one end outside, preventing contamination of urine sample and reducing false-positive rate result as a result of contact with stool.
Another purpose of the invention is to develop a urine taking apparatus providing shipment of sample to laboratory without need for a health care professional thanks to its discharge tap.
In order to achieve above mentioned purposes, the present disclosure is a urine taking apparatus comprising a urine bag consisting of inner area located insidediaper and providing collection of urine, an outer area located in outer part ofdiaper wherein urine is collected, a hole providing flow of urine from inner area to outer area and a discharge apparatus providing filling urine collected in outer area into tubes and a sticky area preventing urine bag's going off from infant or child and used for taking samples from toddlers and infants not having acquired toilet training yet.
The structural and characteristics features of the invention and all advantages will be understood better in detailed descriptions with the figures given below and with reference to the figures, and therefore, the assessment should be made taking into account the said figures and detailed descriptions.
