Abstract

The present invention relates to a part transfer mechanism (1) which can be associated with a stop mechanism (40) provided on a body (30) in order to provide transfer of the sheet material, which is to be bent, to the bending area in CNC bending machines. As an improvement, the subject matter part transfer mechanism (1) comprises a vacuum mechanism (20) having at least one vacuum pad (22) associated with said stop mechanism (40) and configured to provide transfer of parts, having predefined width, to the bending area, a movement mechanism (10) configured to provide movement of said vacuum mechanism (20) between a park position (I) and the position where said vacuum mechanism (20) is associated with the stop mechanism (40).

Description

A PART TRANSFER MECHANISM FOR BENDING MACHINES
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a part transfer mechanism which can provide transfer of parts which are narrower than the width of the parts which can be transferred to the bending area in CNC bending machines.
PRIOR ART
CNC bending machines provide bending of different sized sheets with high precision and provide said sheets to become suitable for the needs of various sectors. Metal is used in various fields from light industry to heavy industry. However, in various fields, metals are needed to be used in various shapes in a different manner from the flat sheet shape.
In the known state of the art, driving of the sheet material, which is to be bent, to the bending area in CNC bending machines is provided by means of a manipulator system. The lower and upper clamps, provided in said manipulator system and which compress the sheet and which carry the sheet to the bending area, can approach the press tools up to 150 mm because of the geometries thereof. Therefore, profile and panel bending, realized in CNC bending machines, can have width of 150 mm at the minimum. In bending of products which are narrower than 150 mm, usage of the present CNC bending machine is not possible.
As a result, because of all of the abovementioned problems, an improvement is required in the related technical field.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a part transfer mechanism, for eliminating the above mentioned disadvantages and for bringing new advantages to the related technical field.
The main object of the present invention is to provide a part transfer mechanism which provides transfer of parts which are narrower than the width of the parts which can be transferred to the bending area in CNC bending machines. In order to realize the abovementioned objects and the objects which are to be deducted from the detailed description below, the present invention relates to a part transfer mechanism which can be associated with a stop mechanism provided on a body in order to provide transfer of the sheet material, which is to be bent, to the bending area in CNC bending machines. Accordingly, the subject matter part transfer mechanism comprises a vacuum mechanism having at least one vacuum pad associated with said stop mechanism and configured to provide transfer of parts, having predefined width, to the bending area, a movement mechanism configured to provide movement of said vacuum mechanism between a park position and the position where said vacuum mechanism is associated with the stop mechanism. Thus, a part transfer mechanism is provided which provides transfer of parts which are narrower than the width of the part which can be transferred to the bending area in CNC bending machines.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, said movement mechanism comprises a movable surface for providing association with vacuum mechanism and a connection surface for providing connection onto said body.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, said movable surface comprises a guide which provides association to said connection surface and which provides movement between the park position and the stop mechanism, and said guide comprises at least one drive element which provides entering into and exiting a guide bearing provided on the connection surface.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, in order to provide positioning of the vacuum mechanism at the correct position on the stop mechanism, at least one guide element is provided on said movable surface and at least one locking part is provided on the stop mechanism wherein said guide element engages. Thus, the vacuum mechanism is positioned on the stop mechanism at a correct position.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, in order to provide maintaining locking of the vacuum mechanism on the movement surface in the park position, at least one safety element is provided on the movable surface and at least one lock element is provided which is associated with said safety element. Thus, the vacuum mechanism stays locked on the movement surface in the park position.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, in order to separate said vacuum mechanism from the movable surface and in order to provide locking of said vacuum mechanism onto the stop mechanism, at least one lower lock element is provided which is moved by at least one stop drive element provided at the stop mechanism and at least one compression element is provided which is associated with said lower lock element. Thus, the vacuum mechanism is separated from the movable surface and is locked onto the stop mechanism.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, in order to provide air transfer to said vacuum pads, at least one air passage part is provided on the stop mechanism and air transfer element is provided which is positioned in the vacuum mechanism which provides air flow between said air passage part and said vacuum pad. Thus, air passage to the vacuum pads is provided.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, at least one sealing element is provided for providing air sealing between the air passage part and the lower locking pin.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, said part transfer mechanism comprises at least one vacuum carriage plate which provides carrying of the vacuum pads, at least one height adjustment element is provided which provides adjustment of the height of said vacuum carriage plate upwardly and downwardly in a linear manner, and at least one height drive element which provides movement to said height adjustment element. Thus, the vacuum carriage plate is brought to a suitable position according to the dimensions of the sheet part to be bent.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, at least one vacuum pad connection part is provided which is associated with said vacuum carriage plate and whereon the vacuum pads are connected.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, vacuum pads are positioned in an embedded manner on the front surface and on the lower surface of the vacuum pad connection part associated with the vacuum carriage plate. Thus, the transfer of the sheet parts, which have long size and which have narrow width in flat form, to the bending area is provided by means of the vacuum pads which are placed to the lower surface of the vacuum carriage plate, and thanks to the vacuum pads placed to the front surface, the carriage of the sheet part through the part, which is bent 90 degrees, can be realized. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed description, the subject matter part transfer mechanism (1 ) is explained with references to examples without forming any restrictive effect only in order to make the subject more understandable.
In Figure 1 , a representative perspective view of the form where the subject matter part transfer mechanism (1 ) is associated with the body (30) is given. The present invention relates to a part transfer mechanism (1 ) which can provide transfer of parts which are narrower than the width of the part which can be transferred to the bending area in CNC bending machines. In said part transfer mechanism (1 ); there is a vacuum mechanism (20) which can be associated to a stop mechanism (40) provided on a body (30) provided in the CNC bending machine. In said vacuum mechanism (20), there is at least one vacuum pad (22) configured to provide transfer of parts, which have predefined width, to the bending area. Moreover, in the part transfer mechanism (1 ), as can be seen in Figure 2 and 3, there is a movement mechanism (10) configured to provide movement of the vacuum mechanism (20) between a park position (I) and the position where the vacuum mechanism (20) associated to the stop mechanism (40).
In Figure 4, a representative perspective view of the subject matter part transfer mechanism (1 ) is given. In said movement mechanism (10), there is a connection surface (1 1 ) for providing connection onto the body (30). In the movement mechanism (10), there is a movable surface (12) for providing association with the vacuum mechanism (20). There is a guide (14) provided between said connection surface (1 1 ) and said movable surface (12) for providing association thereof. Said guide (14) can enter into and exit a guide bearing (15) provided on the connection surface (1 1 ). For providing movement of the guide (14), there is at least one drive element (13) associated with the guide (14). Thus, the movement of the vacuum mechanism (20), associated with the movable surface (12), is provided between the park position (I) and the stop mechanism (40).
In Figure 5, a lateral representative cross-sectional view of the form of the vacuum mechanism (20) positioned on the stop mechanism (40) in the subject matter part transfer mechanism (1 ) is given. There is at least one guide element (16) provided on said movable surface (12) for providing correct positioning of the vacuum mechanism (20) positioned on the stop mechanism (40) for transferring part to the bending area. Said guide element (16) enters into at least one locking part (41 ) provided on the stop mechanism (40). Afterwards, as seen in Figure 6, in order to provide separation of the vacuum mechanism (20) from the movable surface and in order to provide locking of the vacuum mechanism (20) onto the stop mechanism (40), movement is provided to at least one lower locking element (23) provided in the vacuum mechanism (20) in at least one stop drive element (42) provided in the stop mechanism (40). Said lower locking element (23) is associated with at least one compression element (43), provided at the stop mechanism (40), after the received movement. Thus, the vacuum mechanism (20) is locked onto the stop mechanism (40). Afterwards, the movement mechanism (10), which leaves the vacuum mechanism (20) onto the stop mechanism (40), returns back to the park position (I). The vacuum mechanism (20) can move in the direction of the bending axis together with the stop mechanism (40) whereon it is locked. The vacuum mechanism (20), connected to the stop mechanism (40) and which obtains approaching characteristic to the bending axis, provides bending of the sheet part having a width which is lower than a specific width.
There is at least one vacuum pad (22) in the vacuum mechanism (20) in order to provide holding of the sheet part, which is to be bent, by the vacuum mechanism (20). Said vacuum pads (22) vacuum and hold the sheet part. In order to provide air transfer to the vacuum pads (22), there is at least one air passage part (44) provided on the stop mechanism (40). The air, transferred from said air passage part (44), is transferred to the air transfer element (21 ) positioned at the vacuum mechanism (20), in order to transfer said air to the vacuum pads (22). Said air transfer element (21 ) has a bored structure and provides transfer of air to the vacuum pads (22) through the air passage part (44). The lower locking element (23), connected onto the air transfer element (21 ) and which provides locking of the vacuum mechanism (20) to the stop mechanism (40), has a bored structure and permits air passage. At least one sealing element (45) is provided for providing air sealing between the air passage part (44) and the lower locking element (23).
In Figure 7 and 8, the top and bottom representative perspective views of the subject matter part transfer mechanism (1 ) are given. The vacuum pads (22) provided from the vacuum mechanism (20) is positioned on at least one vacuum pad connection part (27). Said vacuum pad connection part (27) comprises two parts as the right connection part (271 ) and the left connection part (272). Said right connection part (271 ) and said left connection part (272) are connected to at least one vacuum carriage plate (25). In order to provide adjustment of the height of said vacuum carriage plate (25) in a linear manner downwardly and upwardly, there is at least one height adjustment element (24) associated with the vacuum carriage plate (25). There is at least one height drive element (26) providing movement to said height adjustment element (24). The height adjustment element (24) moved by said height drive element (26) provides the vacuum carriage plate (25) to be brought to the suitable position according to the dimensions of the sheet part to be bent. Vacuum pads (22) are provided in an embedded manner on the front surface (273) and on the lower surface (274) of the right connection part (271 ) and of the left connection part (272) associated with the vacuum carriage plate (25). By means of the vacuum pads (22) placed to the lower surface (274) of the right connection part (271 ) and of the left connection part (272), the sheet parts, which have long dimensions and which have narrow widths and which are in flat form, are transferred to the bending area. Thanks to the vacuum pads (22) placed to the front surface (273) of the right connection part (271 ) and of the left connection part (272), the sheet part can be carried from the part which is bent 90 degrees. In case the vacuum mechanism (20) passes to the park position (I), the stop drive element (42) provided at the stop mechanism (40) releases the lower locking element (23) provided at the vacuum mechanism (20), and the association of the lower locking element (23) to the compression element (43), provided at the stop mechanism (40), is broken. In order to provide locking of the vacuum mechanism (20) on the movable surface (12), at least one safety element (18), provided on the movable surface (12), and at least one lock element (17), associated with said safety element (18), are associated with the vacuum mechanism (20). Thus, the vacuum mechanism (20) is fixed onto the movement surface (12). Afterwards, the guide (14), which moves in the guide bearing (15), is moved by the drive element (13) and provides the vacuum mechanism (20) to pass to the park position (I).
The protection scope of the present invention is set forth in the annexed claims and cannot be restricted to the illustrative disclosures given above, under the detailed description. It is because a person skilled in the relevant art can obviously produce similar embodiments under the light of the foregoing disclosures, without departing from the main principles of the present invention.

A part transfer mechanism (1 ) which can be associated with a stop mechanism (40) provided on a body (30) in order to provide transfer of the sheet material, which is to be bent, to the bending area in CNC bending machines, wherein the subject matter part transfer mechanism (1 ) comprises a vacuum mechanism (20) having at least one vacuum pad (22) associated with said stop mechanism (40) and configured to provide transfer of parts, having predefined width, to the bending area,
a movement mechanism (10) configured to provide movement of said vacuum mechanism (20) between a park position (I) and the position where said vacuum mechanism (20) is associated with the stop mechanism (40).
2. The part transfer mechanism (1 ) according to claim 1 , wherein said movement mechanism (10) comprises a movable surface (12) for providing association with vacuum mechanism (20) and a connection surface (1 1 ) for providing connection onto said body (30).
3. The part transfer mechanism (1 ) according to claim 2, wherein said movable surface (12) comprises a guide (14) which provides association to said connection surface
(1 1 ) and which provides movement between the park position (I) and the stop mechanism (40), and said guide (14) comprises at least one drive element (13) which provides entering into and exiting a guide bearing (15) provided on the connection surface (1 1 ).
4. The part transfer mechanism (1 ) according to claim 1 or 3, wherein in order to provide positioning of the vacuum mechanism (20) at the correct position on the stop mechanism (40), at least one guide element (16) is provided on said movable surface
(12) and at least one locking part (41 ) is provided on the stop mechanism (40) wherein said guide element (16) engages.

The part transfer mechanism (1 ) according to claim 1 or 3, wherein in order to provide maintaining locking of the vacuum mechanism (20) on the movement surface (12) in the park position (I), at least one safety element (18) is provided on the movable surface (12) and at least one lock element (17) is provided which is associated with said safety element (18).

The part transfer mechanism (1 ) according to claim 1 or 4, wherein in order to separate said vacuum mechanism (20) from the movable surface and in order to provide locking of said vacuum mechanism (20) onto the stop mechanism (40), at least one lower lock element (23) is provided which is moved by at least one stop drive element (42) provided at the stop mechanism (40) and at least one compression element (43) is provided which is associated with said lower lock element (23).

The part transfer mechanism (1 ) according to claim 1 , wherein in order to provide air transfer to said vacuum pads (22), at least one air passage part (44) is provided on the stop mechanism (40) and air transfer element (21 ) is provided which is positioned in the vacuum mechanism (20) which provides air flow between said air passage part (44) and said vacuum pad (22).
8. The part transfer mechanism (1 ) according to claim 7, wherein at least one sealing element (45) is provided for providing air sealing between the air passage part (44) and the lower locking element (23).
9. The part transfer mechanism (1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said part transfer mechanism (1 ) comprises at least one vacuum carriage plate (25) which provides carrying of the vacuum pads (22), at least one height adjustment element (24) is provided which provides adjustment of the height of said vacuum carriage plate (25) upwardly and downwardly in a linear manner, and at least one height drive element (26) which provides movement to said height adjustment element (24).
10. The part transfer mechanism (1 ) according to claim 9, wherein at least one vacuum pad connection part (27) is provided which is associated with said vacuum carriage plate (25) and whereon the vacuum pads (22) are connected.
11. The part transfer mechanism (1 ) according to claim 10, wherein vacuum pads (22) are positioned in an embedded manner on the front surface (237) and on the lower surface (274) of the vacuum pad connection part (27) associated with the vacuum carriage plate (25).
