Description
A NEW HOOD BODY
Technical Field
The invention relates to a hood body used in hoods, which allows the removal of odors, water and cooking vapor from the environment that is generated during cooking in kitchens.
The invention particularly relates to a new hood body that prevents vibrations that occur during the operation of the hood and increases acoustic comfort by reducing turbulent airflow inside the hood.
Present State of the Art
The hood is an electric air aspiration device that allows smoke, cooking or water vapor and odors generated during the cooking process in kitchens to be sucked and evacuated to the outside environment. In general, a hood consists of a 2 or 3 piece body comprising a chimney which is connected to a motor assembly that ensure the air in the environment to be aspirated by vacuuming in order to evacuate the aspirated air by means of the motor assembly to the outside environment, and a control panel with a lighting assembly on the bottom surface to illuminate the environment.
The existing hood bodies are obtained by mounting 2 or 3 different parts that make up the main structure together using fixing methods such as welded or screw joining. When the hood with a multi-component hood body is operated, vibrations and noises occur on the body due to turbulent air flow within the hood body. This creates a disturbing environment for the user. In addition, due to the lack of strength of the multi-component hood body structure, especially component surfaces joined with the lighting panel suffer from damages due to the shock, road conditions and impacts etc. during shipping.
In the literature search, TR2018/07548 numbered document provides an example of one of the improvements made in the hood bodies. This document is related to a shell plate of hood body, and in this invention a hood body plate is mentioned in which the connection of the motor plate used to place the fan motor in the hood
body is removed. The invention in question is only intended to reduce the pro- chimney ion cost of the hood. Therefore, there is no improvement to prevent the turbulent operation of the hood.
Therefore, the existence of the aforementioned problems and the lack of an existing solution made it necessary to make a development in the relevant technical field.
Object of the Invention
The herein invention relates to a new hood body that eliminates the aforementioned disadvantages and brings new advantages in the relevant technical field.
The main purpose of the invention is to provide a shell plate comprising a twist formed by outward angling on the side surfaces of the hood body.
Another main purpose of the invention is to increase the air passage area in the body and to direct the air flow to the air suction area thanks to the outward twisted form of the shell plate.
Another purpose of the invention; is to increase the acoustic comfort by blocking the vibrations and turbulent air flow occurring in the hood body during the operation of the hood by directing the air flow inside the hull to the air suction area.
Another purpose of the invention is to eliminate user complaints by preventing noise caused by vibrations in the hood body.
Another purpose of the invention is to increase the strength of the body against the vertical and lateral forces acting on the hood body thanks to the outward twisted form of the shell plate.
Another purpose of the invention is to prevent damage to the surfaces of the hood body connecting to the lighting panel during shipment by increasing the strength of the shell plate.
In order to fulfill all the aforementioned objectives that can be implied from the detailed description, the invention relates to a hood body, which is used in hoods and which comprises a shell plate connected with a volute connection plate.
Wherein, the invention comprises a twist on both sides of the said shell plate extending diagonally from the bottom corner to the top corner with an angle.
The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all its advantages will be understood more clearly through the detailed explanation with the following drawings and references to these drawings. Therefore, the evaluation should be made based on these figures and detailed description.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In the herein detailed description, the preferred alternatives of the hood body (10) of the invention are explained only for a better understanding of the subject and with no limiting effect.
Figures 1 , 2 and 3 give perspective, bottom and top views of the hood body (10) of the invention. Accordingly, in its most basic state, the hood body (10) comprises a shell plate (1 1 ) with twists (1 1.1 ) on its side surfaces and a volute connection plate (12) connected to the said shell plate (1 1 ).
On both side surfaces of the shell plate (11 ), an outward angled twist (1 1.1 ) is formed diagonally from the bottom corner to the top corner.
As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the hood body (10) is connected to a lighting panel (20) which provides illumination of the environment on its bottom surface and a volute block (30) which allows vacuum extraction of ambient air into the hood body (10). The twists (1 1.1 ) in the structure formed on both side surfaces of the shell plate (1 1 ), angled diagonally outward from the bottom corner to the top corner, increase the air passage area in the hood body (10) and direct the air flow to the air suction area in the volute block (30).
Figure 6 gives a general view of the hood (D). The hood body (10) is connected to the outer chimney (40) and the inner chimney (50), which allows air drawn from the environment through the volute block (30) to be extracted to the outside environment. Due to the twist (1 1.1 ) in the structure created on both side surfaces of the shell plate (1 1 ), angled outwards diagonally from the bottom corner to the top corner, the strength of the chimneys (40-50) against vertical and lateral forces applied to the hood body (10) has been increased.
Furthermore, by increasing the strength of the hood body (10) with the said twist (1 1.1 ), damage to the connecting surface of the hood body (10) with the lighting panel (20) during shipment are prevented.
Claims
1. A hood body (10) which is used in hoods (D) comprising a shell plate (11 ) connected with a volute connection panel (12), characterized by
- comprising a twist (1 1.1 ) on both sides of the said shell plate (1 1 ) diagonally outward from the bottom corner to the top corner with an angle, in order to prevent air from passing through a narrow section, by increasing the area on the air passageway and preventing any noise caused by the air flow.
