- the compression garment is constructed so that both before and after elimination the opening may be covered by two flaps: 1) One proceeding down from the front waist; and, 2) Another proceeding down from the rear waist.
- the flaps cover the opening when they are connected at their free ends in the middle of the crotch.
- the garment is intended to be worn for lengthy periods of time and in innumerable social situations. Also, the garment may be worn after medical and surgical procedures have been conducted.
- U.S. Pat. No. 6,324,699 discloses a pair of pantyhose with a flap that may be lowered to facilitate urination.
- the flap is hinged at one end and buttoned or attached to the garment at the other end covering the opening both before and after urination.
- the opening is not large enough to facilitate both urination and defecation.
- U.S. Pat. No. 9,089,173 discloses bifurcated leggings which have a flap that may be lowered to facilitate both urination and defecation.
- the flap is hinged at one end and buttoned or attached to the garment at the other end covering the opening when not needed for urination and defecation.
- the flap covers the entire length of the garment from front to rear and is therefore quite long and easily dropped in the toilet during use.
- a garment featuring a mechanism which includes two permissible/cojoining flaps: one attached at the front and one attached in the rear.
- the two flaps are affixed to one another in the middle of the crotch by clips, buttons, hooks, or hook and loop fasteners. This improvement shortens the length of the flaps so that it is easier to keep them out of the toilet while allowing the wearer to both urinate and defecate.
- a rectangular/oval opening aligned front to rear, that is larger in the rear than in the front to facilitate defecation.
- a trapezoidal flap attached at or near the waist in the front and in the rear, such that when they are connected, they cover the rectangular/oval opening.
- the flaps are attached to one another in the middle of the crotch by clips, buttons, hooks, or hook and loop fasteners.
- One embodiment of the present invention presents a close-fitting, one-piece compression garment comprising a conjoined left and a right side with a rectangular/oval opening extending from the pubic area to the sacrum.
- the garment encircles the waist of the wearer and the legs of the wearer down to the thigh.
- the leg of the garment can be of any lower length, ending at the thigh, the lower leg, the ankle, or enclosing the feet and toes.
- the portion of the garment that covers the feet and toes may be detached.
- the garment can be of any upper length, ending at the waist, above the breasts, or at the neck.
- the garment can enclose the arms and hands and fingers.
- the portion of the garment that covers the hands and fingers may be detached.
- the garment is constructed of nylon or rayon or a composition of cotton and a synthetic fabric.

These flaps when closed are affixed to one another in the middle of the crotch. Ordinarily, these flaps are attached to one another using snaps, but those having skill in the art will recognize that buttons, hooks, clasps, or hook and loop fasteners may be used.
