Description
Stand
Field of technology
The invention concerns a stand for supporting a bicycle, in the shape of a ring anchored to a base plate.
State of art
Bicycles have become important personal means of transport and bicycle stands are used on a mass scale for suspending or supporting bicycles. Personal transport by bicycle is developing particularly in cities, where users of bicycles use them to take care of their normal daily affairs at multiple destinations at which they need to support and lock their bicycle. Numerous stand designs, with various technical functions are used for the purpose of supporting and locking bicycles in public areas. It is evident that it is more advantageous for users of bicycles when they have their own device for locking their bicycle and keep it as a part of or suspended on their bicycle. This limits the function of bicycle stand in public areas to supporting bicycles. Bicycle stands in public areas are most often made from rigid metal pipes in various designs and their free ends are attached to pavements or buildings using rigid flanges with screws. Such stands are massive and two or more mutually
connected pipes are needed for each bicycle. The metal pipe stands are rigid and if they are stressed more than is normal, they are permanently deformed. Metal pipe stands with surface treatment do not provide sufficient protection against
mechanical damage to the bicycle or the stand itself.
Document FR 2756539 contains a bicycle stand created from a rigid metal pipe in the shape of a U or part of a ring, the free ends of which are fitted with metal flanges and attached to a base plate using screws. The shape of this stand is adapted for two bicycles arranged opposite each other and standing next to each other on both sides of the stand. The stand also has a
locking device consisting of rotating rings, which can be closed over the bicycles leaning against the stand, from the sides. The stand is very massive, it has a steel surface, which is
sensitive to the weather and the metal pipes remain permanently deformed when bent.
The nature of the invention
The goal of the invention is to ensure a bicycle stand that will be resistant to the weather, resistant to mechanical damage to the stand itself and to damage of the bicycle. The goal of the technical solution is a light, simple, easily assembled stand, which can be replaced if damaged. The goal of the
technical solution is a bicycle stand, attachment of which to a base plate will be permanent and will enable easy replacement of the stand if damaged.
The disadvantages of the stands according to the state of art are mostly eliminated and the goal of the invention is achieved by a stand, mainly intended for supporting bicycles, in the form of a ring anchored to a base plate according to the technical solution the basis of which is that the stand consists of an internal ring with free ends, which are inserted into the hollow profile of the external ring, whereas the free ends of the internal ring, protruding from the external ring and
orientated opposite each other, are inserted into the anchoring apertures of the flange attached to the base plate.
It is advantageous if the free ends of the internal ring are permanently connected to the anchoring flange. It is
advantageous if the free ends of the internal ring are inserted into a flexible guide profile, which is permanently connected to the anchoring flange. It is advantageous if the internal ring is hollow. It is advantageous if the external ring is flexible. It is advantageous if the internal ring is made from steel and the external ring from rubber.
Summary of pictures in the drawings
The stand according to the invention is explained in the plans, on which the following are:
Fig. 1 overall view of the stand,
Fig. 2 side view of the stand as a cross-section,
Fig. 3 cross-sections A-A and B-B through the anchoring flange, Fig. 4 view of the assembly of the external and internal ring.

Example of the execution according to the invention
According to Fig. 1 an anchoring flange 6 with two ends orientated opposite to each other, to which the external ring _5 of the stand 1 is tightly fitted, is attached to the base plate
9.
According to Fig. 2 the stand consists of an external ring _5, into which an internal ring 2 is fitted, the free ends _3, _4 of which, protruding from the external ring _5, are inserted into
the apertures 1_, _8 created in the opposite ends of the anchoring flange 6, attached to the base plate _9 using screws (not
depicted) placed in the bored holes 10.. The anchoring flange 6 of the stand is attached horizontally to the pavement or
vertically to the wall of a building using the base plate. The free ends 3, 4. of the internal ring 2 are attached to the anchoring flange using the attachment screws. The internal ring 2, with_free ends 3, 4. is therefore inserted into the hollow profile of the external ring 5., whereas the free ends 3, 4. of the internal ring 2, protruding from the external ring 5 and orientated opposite each other, are inserted into the apertures 1_, 8_ in the anchoring flange 6 which is attached to the base plate, and permanently attached to the anchoring flange 6.
According to Fig. 3 in cross-section A-A the anchoring flange 6 consists of two parts, the first part 1_1 and the second part 12., which are shaped so that they fit into each other and are connected to each other using a connecting screw 13., passing through the first part 1_1 and the second part 12.. The first part 11 is connected to the base plate _9 using an anchoring screw _16 and a bored hole 1_0, passing through both the base plate 9_ and the first part .11. A guide profile 14 for inserting and
attaching the free end of the internal ring is arranged in the internal cavity of the first part 11 and the second part 12 of the anchoring flange. The guide profile £4. is attached to one of the parts 11, 12., in the specific case to part 11, and fits tightly to the internal wall of the anchoring flange. The free ends 3, inserted into the guide profile 1£ are tightened to the anchoring flange using an attachment screw 15. According to a design not depicted, the free ends 3, £ of the internal ring 2 can be attached to the anchoring flange permanently using screws .
According to Fig. 3 in cross-section B-B the foot of the open guide profile 14 , in the shape of a U, is attached to the internal wall of the first part 11_ of the anchoring flange. The free ends of the arms of the U shape of the guide profile 1£ are flexible. The flexible walls of the guide profile 1£ are designed for insertion of the free ends _3, £ of the internal ring 2. The arrangement and shape of the guide profile 14
according to cross-section B-B enable the internal ring 2 according to Fig. 2 to rotate against the anchoring flange 6_j_ or to tilt, if stressed from the front according to Fig. 2.
According to Fig. 4 the assembly of rings consists of an internal ring 2_ with free ends _3, _4, onto which the external ring _5 is fitted. It is advantageous if the internal ring 2 is hollow. It is advantageous if it is made from steel and the external ring 3 is made from rubber. Both rings may have any profile, with preference right-angled or circular.
