Abstract

The invention aims to make possible the installation of the seal on a variety of objects and the detection of the breakage thereof, which is to be transmitted in real time over long distances. Therefore, an electronic module (1) is installed in one of the parts (9) of the desired object (O), connecting a fibre optic filament (8) in the optical emitter (4) thereof, the latter extending via the second part (9a) and then returning to the electronic module (1) where the free end thereof is connected to the optical receiver (5), having securing points (10) along the length thereof. The microprocessor (3) of the module (1) constantly monitors and compares the signal (SO) sent by the optical emitter (4) with the signal (SO) received by the optical receiver (5), conveyed by the fibre optic filament (8). Thus, should one of the parts (9 or 9a) of the object (O) be opened, moved or removed, the fibre optic filament (8) breaks, thereby interrupting the optical signal (SO), whereupon the microprocessor (3) sends an alert signal (SA) to the RF transmitter (6), which, in turn, remotely sends a radiofrequency alert signal.

Description

[001] This descriptive report refers to the application for an invention patent for a sealing device that can be applied in various sectors such as industries, businesses, as well as in security systems among other numerous applications where the use of seals such as SKU products, boxes, pallets, cargo trucks, containers, in short, where it is necessary to indicate a violation by highlighting one of the parts that make up this infinity of consumer items.
[002] The seal is an electronic device installed / embedded in a part of an object that can receive a seal, that is, an object with two parts, at least one of which can be separated, removed or moved. The device, from its optical emitter, extends a fiber optic filament that reaches the second part of the object and returns, connecting to the optical receiver. In this way a seal circuit with the filament is obtained.
[003] When the object is violated, that is, it has one of its parts separated, removed or displaced from the other, the filament, until then carrying the optical signal, is broken, and this violation is perceived by a microprocessor, which can signal this disruption via an RF transmitter, a dry contact connected to a tracker, an audible warning or a visual warning, in real time, allowing the responsible person to take appropriate action.
[004] Seals are known devices, with numerous ways of functioning and arrangements, depending on their application. The seals can be made of paper, metal, plastic, wax and others, and may contain wires, electrical components, pins, etc. Its application is unique and exclusively to inhibit or accuse access to something that is closed, that should not be opened or broken, offering a certain security or inhibition to the violation. If the seal is broken, proof of violation of the object that receives it is established.
[005] They can be applied in a system that involves connections, which should not be altered, even for more common use as packaging, a box whose lid must have identified its opening, as well as a pouch whose tape, when detached , indicates its opening. The seal can therefore be produced using specific mechanics, electrical, chemical or even manually.
[006] As a result of searches carried out on the subject, the following patent documents can be cited: - BR 10 2013 016392 9 entitled “ELECTRONIC LACRE FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHER”, which deals with a seal designed exclusively for use in extinguishers, being mounted on the trigger trigger of the extinguisher and in such a way as to be fixed and sealed by the lock pin of that trigger. This seal contains an internal electronic circuit that, when the trigger lock pin is removed, emits a visual and audible warning signal. As an additional resource, the electronic circuit is programmed so that, on the expiration date of the extinguisher, a visual and audible signal is also emitted, warning of expiration and the need for inspection; - BR 20 2012 031675 2 of title “CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT APPLIED IN SAFETY LACRE”, which deals with a physical seal containing two types of seal points in the same device. At first it uses a pin with a locking recess in a corresponding hole in a bushing, with the locking occurring between the recess of that pin and the interior of this bushing. As a second lock, a “tail” or small toothed band is inserted into a hole on the side of the bushing, being locked by the teeth inside the hole, being able to receive a means of data transmission through electronic chip, to detect the violation.
[007] The biggest problem with seals found today is precisely the impossibility of installing them on objects where there is no defined specification of their field of application. A second problem is the inability to transmit a seal break alert in real time and over a long distance, limited to short distances (by audible alarms) or the long wait until the seal is breached by a third.
OBJETIVO DO PEDIDO  PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION
[008] In view of the various types of seals available on the market analyzed by the inventor and thinking about the problems exposed, he designed the tamper detector for a huge variety of objects, with transmission of the event in real time, even over long distances.
[009] The seal, to be explained in detail later, uses a fiber optic filament to interconnect two parts of an object that should not be separated unless authorized by the responsible. The filament carries a signal emitted and received by the device so that it accuses when it breaks and interrupts the optical signal when the parts of the object are separated, transmitting an alert radio frequency signal to the person in charge, warning a tracker through dry contact or by issuing a visual and / or audible alert.
[010] Explicado superficialmente, passa o lacre e o sistema que o envolve a serem melhor compreendidos através das figuras anexas:  [010] Explained superficially, the seal and the system that surrounds it are better understood through the attached figures:
[01 1] Figura 1 - diagrama do módulo eletrónico do lacre, o qual é dotado de uma placa de circuito com microprocessador conectado a um emissor ótico, um receptor ótico e um transmissor de RF, alimentados por bateria; [01 1] Figure 1 - diagram of the electronic module of the seal, which is equipped with a circuit board with a microprocessor connected to an optical emitter, an optical receiver and an RF transmitter, powered by battery;
[012] Figura 2 - vista esquemática da aplicação do lacre, onde o módulo eletrónico foi instalado em uma das partes de um objeto, tendo seu emissor ótico conectado a um filamento de fibra ótica que se estende através da segunda parte do objeto, recebendo pontos de fixação ao longo de seu comprimento e retornando até o receptor ótico, ao qual é conectada sua extremidade livre conduzindo a este último o sinal provindo do emissor. Nessa condição, o microprocessador está monitorando ambos os sinais (enviado e recebido) para constatar normalidade no sistema do lacre;  [012] Figure 2 - schematic view of the application of the seal, where the electronic module was installed in one of the parts of an object, with its optical emitter connected to a fiber optic filament that extends through the second part of the object, receiving points of fixation along its length and returning to the optical receiver, to which its free end is connected, leading to the latter the signal coming from the emitter. In this condition, the microprocessor is monitoring both signals (sent and received) to verify normality in the seal system;
[013] Figura 3 - vista segundo figura anterior mostrando que a segunda parte do objeto foi rompida, deslocada ou removida, rompendo o filamento de fibra ótica. Deste modo, o sinal ótico enviado é interrompido, não sendo, consequentemente, recebido pelo receptor. O microprocessador reconhece essa diferença de sinal ótico e envia um sinal de alerta a um transmissor RF que transmite essa informação, por sinal de radio frequência, em tempo real, ao uma central de controle;  [013] Figure 3 - view according to the previous figure showing that the second part of the object was broken, displaced or removed, breaking the optical fiber filament. In this way, the sent optical signal is interrupted and is therefore not received by the receiver. The microprocessor recognizes this difference in optical signal and sends an alert signal to an RF transmitter that transmits this information, by radio frequency signal, in real time, to a control center;
[014] Figura 4 - vista esquemática de um segundo exemplo de aplicação, onde o objeto recebe a instalação do filamento de fibra ótica em uma disposição diferenciada, passando próximo às suas extremidades. Nessa figura o filamento está em estado íntegro, caracterizando funcionamento normal do lacre;  [014] Figure 4 - schematic view of a second application example, where the object receives the installation of the optical fiber filament in a differentiated arrangement, passing close to its ends. In this figure, the filament is in an intact state, characterizing normal functioning of the seal;
O módulo eletrónico (1) é alimentado por uma bateria (7) e trabalha com um filamento de fibra ótica (8), como mostra, em especial, a figura 1 [015] Figure 5 - view according to the previous figure showing that the second part of the object was broken, displaced or removed at only one of its ends, breaking the filament at this point thanks to the way it was installed in the object. Its disruption is also accused by the microprocessor. [016] According to the attached figures, the “ELECTRONIC SEAL AND INSTALLATION, FOR BREACH DETECTION SYSTEM BETWEEN PARTS CONNECTED BY FIBER OPTICAL FILAMENT”, object of the present patent application, consists of a seal composed of an electronic module (1) internally containing an electronic circuit board (2) integrated with a microprocessor (3) connected to an optical emitter (4), an optical receiver (5) and a radio frequency transmitting circuit (6). The electronic module (1) is powered by a battery (7) and works with a fiber optic filament (8), as shown, in particular, in Figure 1
Object (O), not specified in this report, may belong to a wide range in relation to its field of application, requiring only that it can and needs to receive a seal, that is, that it is composed of two parts (9) and (9a ), at least one of which can be opened, moved or removed, as shown in figure 2
[018] Thus, as also shown in figure 2, with the electronic module (1) embedded / installed in one of the parts (9) of the object (O), the optical fiber filament (8) has one of its ends connected to the optical emitter (4). From this point on, the filament (8) is positioned according to the installer's analysis, leaving the optical emitter (4) up to the limit of this part (9) of the object body (O), passing to the second part (9a) and being the best way, then returning to the part (9) of the object (O) where the electronic module (1) is located, where its free end is connected to the optical receiver (5), forming a kind of closed circuit of optical signal, where the same electronic module (1) will both sending and receiving these signals through the filament (8). During this installation, the fiber optic filament (8) receives attachment points (10) along its length, in locations determined by the installer that best assist in the stability of the filament (8). Such fixation (10) can be made preferably by chemical glue, or by any process that allows the filament stability (8) without damaging it or preventing its data transmission capacity.
[019] The electronic module (1) is then switched on, powered by its battery (7), thus being in an operating state. In this condition, as previously stated, the optical emitter (4) sends optical signals (SO) to the optical fiber filament (8), through the end to which it is connected, with the signal being conducted by the fiber (8) between the two parts (9) and (9a) of the object (O) until reaching the optical receiver (5). The microprocessor (3) constantly monitors and compares the signal (SO) sent by the optical emitter (4) with the signal (SO) received by the optical receiver (5), verifying compliance in the system at this stage of its operation, thus configuring, the seal that joins the two parts (9) and (9a) of the object (O) through the optical fiber filament (8).
Essa ação interrompe o sinal (SO) conduzido pelo filamento (8) no ponto de rompimento, impossibilitando que o sinal (SO) enviado pelo emissor ótico (4) chegue ao receptor ótico (5) Essa diferença do sinal é percebida pelo microprocessador (3), o qual envia um sinal de alerta (SA) ao transmissor RF (6) que, por sua vez, envia remotamente um sinal de radio frequência de alerta para ser recebido por um receptor RF [020] Thus, if accidentally or by intentional action, in bad faith, as shown in figure 3, one of the parts (9) or (9a) of the object (O) is opened, displaced or removed, the optical fiber filament (8), due to its extremely thin thickness and its fixation points (10) properly positioned, it is easily broken. This action interrupts the signal (SO) carried by the filament (8) at the breaking point, making it impossible for the signal (SO) sent by the optical emitter (4) to reach the optical receiver (5). This difference in the signal is perceived by the microprocessor (3 ), which sends an alert signal (SA) to the RF transmitter (6) which, in turn, remotely sends an radio frequency alert signal to be received by an RF receiver
[021] The referred RF receiver may be installed in a control center, a mobile device or even in the very place where the violated object (O) is found, to be perceived, for example, by an audible signal by the interested person. As noted, the breaking of the seal is charged in real time, allowing the interested person to take immediate action. The alert may also, depending on the seal's constructiveness, be sent to a tracker through a dry contact or be emitted through an audible and / or visual alarm installed on the device.
[022] As can be seen by a technician in the subject, the object (O), thanks to the innovative application of the seal described above, covers a wide range of application fields, for example, to acknowledge whether a connector has been removed from a module, if a license plate has been removed, if a pouch has been opened, if a product box has been opened improperly, if there has been a breach in electronic cabinets, cracks in construction structures, in boxes of valuables, doors and even excess of mechanical effort in machines and equipment, in short, for any practical use where the seal can be installed.
