Definitions
- the present invention relates to a support for women's footwear .
- the invention relates to an under shoe support which can be applied to women's footwear with heels to facilitate walking on yielding surfaces such as sand.
- the under-shoe is conceived as an aid to be able to use women's footwear with heels on the beach, for example for receptions or parties .
- footwear supports are known, conceived to allow the use of sports shoes in different environments than those of normal use.
- a shoe protector which can be applied to golf footwear, designed to protect the walking ground from the spikes of the shoes .
- the known under-shoe supports generally have the drawback of not being suitable for supporting women's footwear, characterized by high and thin heels.
- a device for protecting the heel of a woman's shoe to use on rough grounds, comprising a support that connects the heel and the sole of the shoe and elastic fixing means of the support to the shoe.
- This device is also not suitable, however, for use on yielding grounds such as sand because the support is of limited width and length, much smaller than the footwear dimension, and therefore does not constitute a bearing base for the shoe as a whole.
- the present invention aims to overcome the drawbacks of the already known solutions and to propose an under shoe support for women's footwear capable of effectively supporting the shoe on the sand and, at the same time, leaving it unchanged or having a limited influence on the aesthetics of the footwear.
- a first advantage consists in the fact that the under shoe support effectively supports women's footwear even on sand.
- a second advantage consists in the ease of wearing and removing the under shoe support from the shoe.
- a further advantage consists in the fact that the under shoe support of the invention minimally influences the aesthetics of the footwear.
- a further advantage lies in the fact that the under shoe support does not retain the sand and allows it to come out while walking.
- FIG. 1 shows an under shoe support according to the invention
- - figs. 2a, 2b show a second embodiment of the under shoe support, in a side view with a fitted footwear and in a top perspective view respectively;
- FIG. 3a shows a third embodiment of the under shoe support, in two versions, in a side view with a fitted footwear
- - fig. 3b shows a first version of the under shoe support of fig. 3a in a top perspective view
- - fig. 3c shows a second version of the under shoe support of fig. 3a in a top perspective view
- - figs. 4a-4c show a preferred embodiment of the under shoe support support according to the invention, in a side view in open use configuration, in a side view in the closing step, and in a top view in open configuration, respectively;
- FIG. 5 shows a further preferred embodiment of the under shoe support .
- bearing means a support with a sufficient rigidity to support the footwear C on yielding surfaces, in particular on sand.
- the support 1 can be made of a material selected among leather, wood, cork, plastic material and/or combinations of these materials .
- the support 1 with an upper resting surface 7 comprising a front portion 2 for resting of the sole of a footwear and a rear section 3 for the stable resting of the heel T.
- the support 1 has dimensions substantially corresponding to the footwear C, or rather to its projection on the walking plane, both in length and in width .
- First front binding means 4, arranged at the front section 2 of the support 1 and second rear binding means 5 arranged at the rear section 3 of the support 1 are constrained, for example sewn or glued, to the support 1.
- the binding means 4, 5 which may be constituted by elastic bands, for example films or elastic strips or the like and/or adjustable buckles or velcro ® laces are arranged to bind the footwear in a manner adaptable to the shape and/or dimension of the front toe P and of the rear backstrap 9 and preferably in a substantially symmetrical manner with respect to the support 1.
- the under shoe support of the invention may comprise front and/or rear elastic bands capable of overlapping and retaining the sole of the footwear, in the case of open sandals, or the upper in the case of closed footwear.
- the support 1 has an intermediate section 6 free from the front and rear binding means 4, 5 so as to allow the sand to come out in case of use on the beach .
- the resting surface 7 of the support 1 is a non-slip surface, due to the nature of the material and/or to the suitable surface treatment, and the rear section 3 can be reinforced to improve the resting resistance of the heel T of the footwear and can comprise a locking point 10 of the heel T, for example a concave seat, to improve the resting stability.
- the front and rear binding means can be made of a transparent material to improve the footwear aesthetics and visibility.
- a second embodiment of the under shoe support is described, wherein the footwear C is an open sandal, and the front 4 and rear 5 elastic bands are on top of a portion of the toe P and of the backstrap 9 of the footwear C, respectively.
- the rear 5 elastic band is on top of and retains an end portion 20 of the footwear sole at the backstrap by pressing it against the support 1.
- raised strips 44 can be provided laterally in order to prevent the sand from entering into the under shoe support .
- a third embodiment of the under shoe support is described, wherein the footwear C is a boot and the front 4 and rear 5 elastic bands respectively overlap a portion of the footwear upper corresponding to the region of the footwear toe P and backstrap 9.
- the rear band 5 can be provided with tabs 21, 22 provided with hooks 23 for the collar tightening around the footwear upper.
- the tabs may be substantially parallel to the support 1 (tabs 21 - fig.3c) or oriented upwards (tabs 22 - fig.3b) so as to best adapt to the footwear model.
- Figs. 4a, 4b show a preferred embodiment of the under shoe support 30 according to the invention, formed by two sections 31, 32 which can be opened like a book around a hinge 33 so as to be able to pass from an open use configuration (fig. 4a, 4c) wherein the support is able to withstand the weight of the footwear worn by the user to a folded configuration wherein storage of the under shoe support is favoured, for example in a bag or luggage .
- the hinge 33 is constituted by a central joint 36 connected to two plates 34, 35 fixed to a respective section 31, 32 and which can be opened in a single direction opposite to the resting surface 7 so as to be able to withstand the user's weight pressure.
- a preferred embodiment of the under shoe support is shown, suitable for use with women's footwear closed with an upper at the front part P and at the backstrap 9.
- the rear 5 binding means are configured as an elastic band which in use partially stands above the upper of the backstrap 9 and is provided with a protruding tab 40, preferably with a "T" form, which can fold around to an edge 41 of the band 4 from a position external to the footwear to a position internal to the footwear, shown in dotted lines in figure 5, wherein the tab 40 has the function of stabilizing the band 4.
- the tab 40 is made of a material with an elastic behaviour, for example a plastic material, which in the internal position assumes a folded configuration corresponding to the internal shape of the backstrap 9, and remains in this position being forced by elastic return against the side walls of the footwear upper.
- a material with an elastic behaviour for example a plastic material, which in the internal position assumes a folded configuration corresponding to the internal shape of the backstrap 9, and remains in this position being forced by elastic return against the side walls of the footwear upper.
