  • Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) in an optical fiber refers to light guided in a first direction (first guided light) and light guided in a second direction opposite to the first direction (second guided light). ), And the interaction between the acoustic waves propagating in the first direction. Due to this SBS, the power is transferred from the first guided light to the second guided light and the acoustic wave, and the waveform of the first guided light is distorted. Therefore, the SBS is a factor that restricts the transmission performance of high-power light transmission or signal light transmission.

Description

       Δa =(V/V)-1
       Δ =(n/n)-1
       C(コア) < C(第1クラッド)
       C(第1クラッド) ≧ C(第2クラッド)
