Bath or shower brush for wet and dry use

The invention relates to a bath or shower brush for wet and dry use, which has an inner cylinder, a holder connected to the inner cylinder, a drive and an elongated shaped insert shell arranged around the inner cylinder and reversibly connectable to the inner cylinder with bristles attached to it.

Bath or shower brushes are used to positively influence well-being and health through brush massages of the body. A brush massage is a massage that is often carried out manually with the aid of a suitable body brush made of natural bristles, with a loofah sponge or with massage products made of natural fibers or plastic.

Brushing gets the circulation going, strengthens the immune system and improves the skin structure. Lower vessels are activated. This in turn has a balancing effect on blood pressure: if the blood pressure is too low it rises a little, if the blood pressure is too high it shows a slightly decreasing tendency after a while. The brush massage also promotes the venous and lymphatic flow.

Brushing the skin also improves the blood circulation in the skin, since more blood flows in the fine capillaries of the skin. Any harmful or inflammatory substances can be removed more easily by the body, which supports regeneration of the skin and activates our immune system by revitalizing the skin. Cellulite can also be positively influenced by a brush massage and slight tension can be released in the area of the muscles.

Manual bath or shower brushes are often used for personal hygiene a handle used for holding by the user. A disadvantage of these brushes is that often not all parts of the body can be reached and the handling is usually unwieldy and cumbersome. It would be advantageous to be able to use a bath or shower brush, which does not have to be held by the user, but is mounted in the shower or tub via a suitable construction.

In the prior art, DE 2851718 A1 discloses a shower with a rotating brush roller for massaging and promoting blood flow to the user. The brush roller can be integrated directly into a shower or retrofitted using brackets. A lateral water supply is proposed to ensure that the lower end of the approximately body-high brush is provided with a sufficient amount of water.

DE 20 212 663 U1 discloses brushes which are fastened in a shower and driven electrically. The height of the brushes can be adjusted using rails. As an alternative embodiment of the brushes, the use of rollers or rollers is proposed as a possible alternative to bristles.

Vertically arranged brushes for cleaning, which can both rotate and move horizontally, are disclosed in WO 03 037 243 A1. Two individual brushes are arranged on a cylindrical axis. The movement and the rotation of the brushes can be realized with the help of water pressure or electrically.

Another massage device is described in DE 7 802 092 U1. This massager has a rotating brush, which is arranged horizontally and is vertically displaceable along two rails. It is driven by a tubular motor. DE 19510805 C1 discloses a brush massage shower system which is driven either by means of a water turbine transmission or by means of an electric motor. Different bristle materials, such as natural materials or plastics, and bristles of different lengths and hardness are used.

However, horny scraps and dirt accumulate on the bristles of the bath or shower brushes, which is why regular cleaning is necessary to remove these contaminants. For this reason, bath or shower brushes should always be considered from the point of view of hygiene. Disassembly is usually required for basic cleaning of the bath or shower brushes, but this is cumbersome and not very user-friendly.

From DE 20 2012 009 928 U1, however, a multifunction shower device with horizontally running rollers is also known, in which the bristle attachments can be exchanged. The device can be moved vertically on rails, so that the height can be freely adjusted in a certain range. With this bath or shower device, you can choose between different covers with different brush attachments, such as knobs or waves, for the corresponding application. Due to the horizontal orientation, the position of the rollers must always be varied for a full body massage. This variation must of course be controlled by the user. One of the main concerns during showering or bathing is relaxation, which is why the necessary control effort should be kept as low as possible. Furthermore, such covers can be easily changed, but a user cannot experience the brushing effect which is achieved by bristles of a bath or shower brush due to waves or knobs arranged on the covers.

The object of the invention is therefore a bath or shower brush To provide, which both ensures a pleasant and uncomplicated brush massage for the entire body and is easy to clean.

The bath or shower brush is preferably driven electrically by an electric motor. A version of the bath or shower brush is particularly suitable in which the inner cylinder and also the entire bath or shower brush are driven by a tubular motor arranged within the inner cylinder.

A suitable wall bracket is preferably used to attach the bath or shower brush to a wall. A great advantage of the bath or shower brush is that the mounted bristle bowls can be changed if necessary. This makes it easy to clean the brush shells.
