While relatively expensive machines have to be used in the prior art for assembling the picture sheet onto the carrier chassis of the frame for the fast production, this system allows for the fast production without such a machine. Thus, the fact that there is no need for investing in such expensive machines for particularly mass production is a revolutionary novelty for the sector.
  • the canvas frame design of the invention minimizes the transportation, storage, and logistic costs in total and the processes thereof because it can be easily assembled and disassembled. Therefore, the canvas paintings prepared by the conventional methods causes high costs in terms of the transportation and there is a high probability of damage during the transportation because of their big sizes and delicateness. However, this system allows for a much easier and cost-effective logistic.

If they are equal, the compression gasket (5) and the corner flap (4a) may enter the groove (3) by means of compression, because the compression gasket (5) is flexible. If it is higher, it will enter easily. However, the assembly is preferred to be what is called “snug fit” in the art rather than an easy assembly. Therefore, the total thickness of the corner flap (4a) and the compression gasket (5) comprises a structure called slightly snug-fit in the art in the groove width (K1).
  • the edge of the compression gasket (5) is an inclined edge (5a) for an easy assembly. This inclination may also be a rounded profile as well as a triangular shaped profile.

  • the pressure herein applied to the compression gasket (5) allows the picture sheet (4) to be stretched together with the front portions.

  • a structure is provided not allowing for using any compression gasket (5) and/or picture sheet (4) of a production other than the present production.
  • the size standard will not be suitable for the frame if another picture in the market is inserted and it will be either thinner or bigger for the groove.
  • a commercial accomplishment will be obtained because the picture will be purchased from the same place after buying the frame therefrom.
  • the carrier canvas chassis (2) comprises optionally a groove chamfer (3a) at least on one edge, preferably at the peripheral edge of the groove (3), optionally an edge chamfer (2a) at the peripheral edge of the carrier canvas chassis (2), and an outwardly-oriented protrusion (2b) at the front side where the peripheral edge of the carrier canvas chassis (2) and the picture are located, in order to enable the picture sheet (4) to be covered around the carrier canvas chassis (2) and to easily enter the groove (3).
  • This structure is of course optional and may not be used.
  • the groove chamfer (3a) is preferred to enable the picture sheet (4) to enter the groove (3) easily with the compression gasket (5), the edge chamfer (2a) is preferred to enable the picture sheet (4) to be spread around the carrier canvas chassis (2), and the protrusion (2b) is preferred to enhance the stretch of the picture sheet (4) and for a proper appearance.
  • Said chamfers have preferably annular shape and it may have optionally an obtuse cut, e.g. by cutting the edge in the milling machine.
  • the picture sheet (4) which may be used in the canvas frame invention may be as in Fig. 16 without limitation. It is obvious that the edge portions provide a design so as to facilitate the folding.
  • the picture sheet (4) comprises the corner flaps (4a) at least at two edges and preferably at four edges, at least two and preferably four gaps (4b) at the comers, the first recess (4d) at one edge of said gap (4b) and preferably the second recess (4e) at the other edge, the folding tab (4c) at two edges and preferably four edges of said corners, and a folding cut (4f).
  • the canvas frame may comprise at least one flap (4a) and at least one gap (4b) at the edge of said comer flap (4a).
  • the compression gasket of the canvas frame of the invention is a strip-shaped component preferably made of silicon, rubber, or plastic. However, it may surely be made of metal, composite, or wooden material. Normally, it may have jagged structure with an even surface or an indented structure (not shown in the figures) which facilitates the one-way mounting.
  • the fastening apparatus (7) shown in Fig. 17 and Fig. 18 will be used for assembling the picture sheet to the panel edges, which is an alternative and also preferred design.
  • the canvas panel (1) comprises the carrier canvas chassis (2) at the edge portions, a picture sheet (4) extending from the front side to the back side of said carrier canvas chassis (2), at least one groove (3) on said carrier canvas chassis (2), and at least one fastening apparatus (7) which is in connection with the corner flaps of said picture sheet (4) and located within said groove (3).
  • the carrier canvas chassis (2) comprises a carrier canvas chassis (2) at the edge portions of said canvas panel (1), a picture sheet (4) extending from the front side to the back side of said carrier canvas chassis (2), at least one groove (3) at said carrier canvas chassis (2), at least one compression gasket (5) compressing the comer flaps (4a) of said picture sheet (4) into said groove (3), or a fastening apparatus (7).
  • the fastening apparatus (7) is used for the canvas panel (1), the structure, construction, and technical properties of said carrier canvas chassis (2), groove (3), and the picture sheet (4) do not change.
  • the fastening apparatus (7) is inserted into the groove (3), wherein the comer flap (4a) of the picture sheet (4) is attached in order to facilitate the assembly of the picture sheet (4) into the groove (3).
  • the corner flap (4a) is inserted (in connection) to the fastening apparatus (7) as described hereinbelow instead of the compression gasket (5) as described above, then it is made rigid via the fastening apparatus gasket (8) or compressed without it, then the fastening apparatus (7) is compressed into the groove (3), and the picture sheet (4) is applied onto the carrier canvas chassis (2) (in connection).
  • the fastening gasket (8) of the fastening apparatus (7) may be located such that there will be corner flaps (4a) at both sides of the apparatus opening (7a) (as seen in Fig. 18) or there will be only one corner flap (4a) (not shown in the figures) and by compression at only one side.
  • the fastening apparatus (7) used in said embodiment of the canvas frame of the invention comprises at least two apparatus rods (7b), the apparatus opening (7a) between said apparatus rods (7b), and the apparatus protrusion (7c) at the back portion of the fastening apparatus (7).
  • the apparatus protrusion (7c) is designed for the manual assembly and optional disassembly, and it may be optionally discarded.
  • the comer flaps (4a) of the picture sheet (4) is inserted into the apparatus opening (7a) between the apparatus rods (7b) of the fastening apparatus (7) by compression, together with the fastening apparatus gasket (8).
  • the apparatus rods (7b) should have a definite depth, i.e. apparatus rod depth (H3) in order to enter the groove (3).

  • the corner flaps (4a) being the edge portions of the picture sheet (4) are located in the grooves (3) through a slight snug-fit (technical term) by means of the fastening apparatus (7) at four edges.
  • the compression at all four edges is suggested for a conventional quadrangular frame. However, it may also be compressed at two opposite sides.
  • the corner flaps (4a) herein are folded with a “U” shape and it is compressed in the apparatus opening (7a) by placing the fastening apparatus gasket (8) within said“U” shape.
  • the corner flaps (4a) may also be located and compressed in the apparatus opening (7a) with or without folding, even if the fastening apparatus gasket (8) is not present. In this case, the apparatus opening (7a) should be narrower than the thickness of the corner flap (4a) so as to facilitate the compression.

  • the canvas frame design of the invention may be normally used for exhibition-purpose panels or for any kind of pictures. However, it is surely possible that the assembly method of a surface onto a frame by compression technique is used for the windows, ventilation and similar systems. Moreover, the present system may be used for locating a sheet (a surface, textile, canvas, plastic surface, etc.) in the folding screen and pergola systems with or without a picture.
