Abstract
A stopper for storage compartment in vehicles (1) of the present invention comprises at least one housing (2); at least one cover (3) which moves around a connection member for covering the housing (2), at least one body (4) which is placed on the cover (3), on a surface contacting the housing (2), a first contact surface (4.1) which is provided on the body (4) and contacts one surface of the housing (2), a second contact surface (4.2) which is provided on the body (4) and contacts the other surface of the housing (2).
Description
A STOPPER FOR STORAGE COMPARTMENTS IN VEHICLES
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to preventing the objects in the storage compartment from getting out after the cover of the storage compartment used in vehicles is opened.
Background of the Invention
The storage compartment in vehicles is defined as a small compartment with a cover wherein the equipment needed by the driver stays.
In the applications of the previous art, the mechanisms for decelerating the opening of the storage compartment operate with gear system, or mechanisms with spring or holes regulating air outlet.
However, in the applications of the previous art, in case of a storage compartment with a container from the cover, the objects in the storage compartment fall from the compartment as a result of the jumps during driving. Furthermore, the solutions preventing jumping or vibration are high cost and complex.
United States Patent document no US20090140532, an application known in the state of the art, discloses a movable door for closing the glove box, and a fixed door mechanism. The mobility is provided by the latch structure of the door, which is carried by the door. A rubber damping member is used for damping while the movable door is being closed.
United States Patent document no US5868448, another application known in the state of the art, discloses a movable lid having clip members fixed to a glove box
which extend from the lid. There is a resilient cam member for decelerating the closing of the lid mechanism. The elastic cam member absorbs the vibration while the lid is opening. The glove box opens by decelerating.
United States patent document no US20050283943, another application known in the state of the art, discloses a bumper screwed on a crash pad so as to adjust a protruded degree, thereby being capable of easily regulating a T coordinate when a gap problem occurs. The elastic structure that is screwed is made of rubber and absorbs vibration, and enables the glove box to be opened easily.
The Problems Solved with the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to compress the storage compartment cover without requiring any additional system by means of fastening the stopper in place of the deceleration system while opening the storage compartment used in vehicles.
Detailed Description of the Invention
A stopper for storage compartment in vehicles developed to fulfill the objectives of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figures, in which:
Figure 1 is the view of a stopper for storage compartment in vehicles. Figure 2 is first contact of the cover with the mechanism.
Figure 3 is the position of the door wherein the opening is complete.

A stopper for storage compartment in vehicles (1) of the present invention essentially comprises
At least one housing (2);
At least one cover (3) which moves around a connection member for covering the housing (2),
At least one body (4) which is placed on the cover (3), on a surface contacting the housing (2),
A first contact surface (4.1) which is provided on the body (4) and contacts one surface of the housing (2),
A second contact surface (4.2) which is provided on the body (4) and contacts the other surface of the housing (2).
In a stopper for storage compartment in vehicles (1) of the present invention, there is a housing (2) preferably on the dashboard of the vehicle so that the user keeps their belongings in the vehicle. There is a cover (3) for keeping the housing closed (3), and it moves around a connection member (not shown in the figures).
There is a body (4) on the cover (3), and it is placed on a surface contacting the housing (2). The said body (4) is provided on the surface where the cover (3) contacts the housing (2). The body (4) is comprised of two parts, and there is a first contact surface (4.1) and a second contact surface (4.2) on the body (4).
The first contact surface (4.1) and the second contact surface (4.2) are positioned perpendicular to each other.
When the user closes the cover (3), the channels in the first contact surface (4.1) rub against the body (4). Due to the soft structure of the first contact surface
(4.1), the friction force is formed by the interference and it dampens the vibration by means of its elastic geometry.
Since the second contact surface (4.2) on the body (4) has a rigid structure, it is fixed to the body (4) and slows the storage compartment while slowing it down. Since the second contact surface (4.2) is fixed on the cover (3), it is prevented from jumping during driving.
In one embodiment of the invention, the first contact surface (4.1) is manufactured from rubber material.
In one embodiment of the invention, the first contact surface (4.1) is comprised of channeled structure. In one embodiment of the invention, the first contact surface (4.1) is comprised of tie piece.
In one embodiment of the invention, the body (4) is comprised of an L shaped profile.
Claims
1. A stopper for storage compartment in vehicles (1) essentially comprising At least one housing (2);
At least one cover (3) which moves around a connection member for covering the housing (2), and characterized by
At least one body (4) which is placed on the cover (3), on a surface contacting the housing (2),
A first contact surface (4.1) which is provided on the body (4) and contacts one surface of the housing (2),
A second contact surface (4.2) which is provided on the body (4) and contacts the other surface of the housing (2).
2. A stopper for storage compartment in vehicles (1) according to claim 1, comprising a first contact surface (4.1) which is produced from rubber.
3. A stopper for storage compartment in vehicles (1) according to claim 1, comprising a first contact surface (4.1) which is comprised of a channel structure.
4. A stopper for storage compartment in vehicles (1) according to claim 1, comprising a first contact surface (4.1) which is comprised of a tie piece.
5. A stopper for storage compartment in vehicles (1) according to claim 1, comprising a body (4) which is comprised of an L shaped profile.
6. A stopper for storage compartment in vehicles (1) according to claim 1, comprising a connection member which is a hinge.
7. A stopper for storage compartment in vehicles (1) according to claim 1, comprising a second contact surface (4.2) which is comprised of an indented structure.
