Description

Glove Box for Vehicles {a glove box for vehicles}

The present invention relates to a vehicle glove box, and more particularly to a vehicle glove box to which the sliding opening and closing method is applied.

In general, there are several storage places in cars for storing large and small items. For example, a trunk designed to store relatively large items and withdraw items from the outside of the car, and a relatively small and light object to store items that are frequently used by drivers and passengers inside the car. There is a glove box.

The glove box is installed on the crash pad and is disposed on the passenger seat side in the cabin. The glove box, which has been used only as a simple storage box for the development of the automobile industry, has recently been provided with a hot / cold function to provide users with more convenience in terms of functionality.

However, in the conventional glove box, the glove box is opened and closed by rotating the door downward through a rotation shaft provided at one lower side of the housing in which the opening is formed. The conventional glove box has a problem in that the door is inconvenient to open when the door is rotated downward to open.

In addition, since the door of the glove box is rotated to open by its own weight, the glove box should be designed with the open space in mind, and thus, there is a problem that the storage space of the glove box is reduced.

The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a vehicle glove box to increase the storage space by applying a sliding open door, and to improve the convenience of the passenger.

The problems of the present invention are not limited to the above-mentioned problems, and other problems not mentioned can be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the following description.

In order to achieve the above object, the vehicle glove box according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a housing in which the front surface is opened toward the passenger, the sliding grooves are formed at both side ends of the front surface; And a door configured to slide in the sliding groove and to open and close the front surface, and the housing has an insertion portion into which the door is inserted.

Specific details of other embodiments are included in the detailed description and the drawings.

According to the vehicle glove box of the present invention has one or more of the following effects.

First, there is an advantage to increase the storage space by applying the sliding sliding door.

Second, the sliding sliding door has the advantage of opening and closing the door without the inconvenience of the passengers.

To fully disclose the scope of the invention to those skilled in the art, and the invention is only defined by the scope of the claims. Like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings for describing the vehicle glove box 10 according to embodiments of the present invention.

1 is a view schematically showing a vehicle glove box mounted on a crash pad according to an embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 1, the vehicle glove box 10 according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention is disposed in the driver's seat of the crash pad 20. The crash pad 20 is also called an instrument panel or dash board. The crash pad 20 includes an instrument panel in which meters such as a speedometer and a fuel gauge are integrated, and convenience devices such as an air conditioner, a glove box, an audio device, and an airbag device 30.

The crash pad 20 is disposed on the front seat side of the vehicle compartment, and is an important internal component that provides various information necessary for safe driving and passenger convenience of passengers. In addition, the crash pad 20 is an important interior component of a vehicle manufactured in a variety of designs, while the user's design aspect is strongly demanded.

2 is a perspective view of a vehicle glove box according to an embodiment of the present invention. 3 is an exploded perspective view of a vehicle glove box according to an embodiment of the present invention. 4 is a side cross-sectional view of a vehicle glove box according to an embodiment of the present invention. 5 is a perspective view showing a door of a vehicle glove box according to another embodiment of the present invention.

2 to 5, the glove box according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a housing 100, a door 200, an elastic member 300, and a damping device 400. Hereinafter, both sides to be described later refer to left and right directions.

The housing 100 has an open front side toward the passenger. The housing 100 has sliding grooves 110 formed at both end portions of the front surface. In addition, the housing 100 may be formed with a seating groove 120 into which the upper end of the door 200 is inserted at the upper end of the front surface.

The housing 100 forms a space in which simple items such as books and drinks are stored. Simple items such as books and beverages are stored in the interior space through the open front face.

The housing 100 may be disposed to correspond to each other of the upper side and the lower side, or the lower side may be formed to protrude toward the passenger side than the upper side. Therefore, the interior space of the housing 100 can be increased.

The housing 100 is provided with a stopper 130 on which the protrusion 210 of the door 200 to be described later is disposed below the sliding groove 110 at both ends. The stopper 130 catches the protrusion 210 of the door 200, thereby preventing the door 200 from sliding under a predetermined height. Thus, even if the vehicle glove box 10 is opened, the door 200 does not open all of the opened front face of the housing 100. Accordingly, the door 200 covers a part of the lower side of the opened front surface of the housing 100, thereby preventing an article in the housing 100 from spilling onto the passenger side.

The housing 100 has an insertion part 140 through which the door 200 is slidingly inserted. Insertion portion 140 of the housing 100 is preferably formed an insertion space such that the entirety of the door 200 can be inserted sliding. The insertion unit 140 may have an elastic member 300 and a damping device 400 disposed therein.

The housing 100 is provided with a catching part 150 to which the hook 220 of the door 200 to be described later is locked when the door 200 is locked to the upper side. The catching part 150 may be formed as a hole protruding downward from the upper part. However, in another embodiment of the present invention, the locking portion 150 may be formed in the shape of the hook 220 corresponding to the hook 220 of the door 200.

The housing 100 may have a stepped portion 160 protruding upward in front of the lower portion. The stepped part 160 is preferably formed above the insertion part 140 so as not to prevent the door 200 from being inserted into the insertion part 140. When the door 200 is opened, the stepped part 160 prevents an article stored in the housing 100 from spilling out.

The sliding groove 110 is formed to be connected to the insertion unit 140. Therefore, the portion where the sliding groove 110 and the insertion portion 140 are connected is formed to be bent. Hereinafter, a portion where the sliding groove 110 and the insertion portion 140 are connected is referred to as a bent portion.

The door 200 is disposed on the front surface of the housing 100. The door 200 is inserted into the sliding groove 110 and slides to open and close the opened front surface.

The door 200 is deformed to correspond to the above-described bent portion when sliding opening and closing. Therefore, the door 200 may be formed in a thin plate shape that is easily deformed. In addition, the door 200 should be deformed to correspond to the insertion part 140 or the sliding groove 110 again after sliding the above-described bent part. Therefore, the door 200 may be made of an elastic material having an elastic force. The door 200 is preferably formed of a thin plastic plate of elastic material.

The door 200 includes a plurality of bending grooves 230 extending in both directions. The plurality of bending grooves 230 allow the door 200 to be easily deformed when the door 200 is slid.

However, referring to FIG. 5, in another embodiment of the present invention, the door 200 may include a plurality of door plates 250 rotatably connected to each other. In other words. The pair of door plates 250 are connected by the hinge member 260 so that the door plates 250 are rotatable with each other.

The door 200 is provided with protrusions 210 at both ends corresponding to the sliding groove 110. The protrusion 210 is disposed above the both ends. Therefore, when the door 200 is opened, the protrusion 210 prevents the front surface of the housing 100 opened by the stopper 130 from being completely opened.

The door 200 is provided with a handle 240 on the upper side. Therefore, the passenger can open and close the door 200 easily. Handle portion 240 may be provided to be slightly away from the upper end of the door 200, so that passengers can easily grab the handle.

The door 200 is provided with a hook 220 to lock the door 200 to the upper side. Therefore, the hook 220 of the door 200 is locked to the locking part 150 described above, so that the door 200 is locked. In addition, the door 200 includes a switch 241 for opening the door 200 by leaving the hook 220 caught on the locking portion 150. The switch 241 is preferably provided in the handle portion 240. Accordingly, the passenger may press the switch 241 of the handle 240 to release the hook 220 caught on the locking portion 150, and open the door 200 while lowering the handle downward.

The elastic member 300 is connected to the door 200 to provide an elastic force so that the door 200 can be opened. In addition, the door 200 may be made of a spring. Therefore, when the hook 220 of the door 200 is separated from the catching part 150, the door 200 may be automatically opened. In addition, the elastic member 300 may be disposed in the insertion unit 140. Therefore, one end of the elastic member 300 may be connected to the lower side of the door 200, the other end may be connected to the rear portion of the insertion portion 140.

The damping device 400 is connected to the door 200, so that the door 200 is opened at a constant speed by the elastic force. Therefore, when the door 200 is automatically opened by the elastic member 300, the door 200 may be prevented from being quickly opened by the elastic force. Accordingly, the damping device 400 may prevent the door 200 from being properly opened by the elastic force, thereby preventing the protrusion 210 from being damaged when the protrusion 210 is caught by the stopper 130. In addition, the damping device 400 may be disposed in the insertion unit 140. Therefore, one end of the damping device 400 may be connected to the door 200 and the other end to the elastic member 300.

Referring to the operation of the vehicle glove box 10 according to the present invention configured as described above are as follows.

6 is a view schematically showing an operating state of a vehicle glove box according to an embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 6, the switch 241 provided in the handle part 240 of the door 200 is operated to detach the hook 220 caught by the catching part 150 of the housing 100. Accordingly, the door 200 slides to the insertion part 140 by the elastic force of the elastic member 300.

Accordingly, the door 200 may be opened at a constant speed by the damping device 400 connected to the door 200. The protrusion 210 of the sliding door 200 is caught by the stopper 130 provided below the housing 100. Accordingly, the door 200 covers only a portion of the lower side of the opened front surface of the housing 100. This can prevent the article stored in the housing 100 from spilling.

A passenger may take out or store an article stored in the housing 100 through an open front surface of the housing 100. The passenger moves the door 200 upward by using the handle 240. In the door 200 which is slid upward, the door 200 is locked by the hook 220 being caught by the catching part 150 of the housing 100.

While the present invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed exemplary embodiments, but, on the contrary, It should be understood that various modifications may be made by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
