Abstract
Houseplants are watered and irrigated traditionally in absence of any exact scheduling and ignoring environmental conditions within apartments. Watering houseplants pot frequently will led to waterlogging and hence root rot and watering infrequently them will led to wilting. Houseplants grown in pots within apartments will receive less sunlight in turn it will lead to yellowing of its leaves and interruption in photosynthesis in the plant and declines its quality. In order to deal with some issue on irrigation of plants and control the light and ambient temperature, the temperature, humidity, soil moisture and ambient light sensors can be used to grow the plants at their best and in the right conditions. To do this, environmental information should be received using the sensors and allow the consumer to put this device in any pot.
Description
The technical field of this invention is watering and irrigating plants given the environmental conditions.
In previous inventions, some smart pots for watering plants in which plants should be placed were patented

Abstract: According to the present invention, provided is a smart pot, which can display watering necessity or warning for root rot when the current value corresponding to the set humidity lasts longer than or equal to the set period, and which comprises: a container for planting a plant as storing soil for cultivation; a pair of terminals installed in the pot so as to detect the current flowing through soil for cultivation; a current system connected with the terminal for detecting the current between the terminals; a DB for being stored as mapping the current values detected in the current system corresponding to the necessary humidity value with respect to a cultivated plant; a selection unit equipped with a cultivated plant selecting interface for printing the selected information of the cultivated plant; a marking unit installed on one side of the container for displaying a message; and a control unit connected to be capable of transmitting a signal to the current system, the DB, the selection unit, and the marking unit.
To get the environmental information, we connect the sensors to the microcontroller and, based on the information given the outputs that are connected to the microcontroller are enabled or disabled. These outputs include water solenoid, artificial light, and moisture generator.
Also, using a cellphone, we can manually control device outputs. According to scientists, music can affect plant growth and quality, and based on this research, the music player was also used.
The device body is designed to be placed on the edge of each pot and the soil moisture sensor can be placed in the soil and the same time water pipe is located at the edge of the device to bring water to the plant. This device has a water reservoir to produce desired moisture for plant as well as placing required water within it.
To generate light for plants in the upper part of device, some special LEDs to supply synthetic light for plants are embedded. It also has a display screen to reading temperature and soil moisture information.
In this project, we are going to come up with a way to control the greenhouse and houseplants in smart manner and provide high-quality growth conditions in the plants and finally cope with aforementioned issues.
This patent can be promising as a smart device to control environmental conditions for houseplants and greenhouses pot plants, reducing water loss as well as providing a desirable environment for plant growth, as well as saving time.
