Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil et des procédés de décoration d'un récipient métallique avec une image ou des indices sur une partie prédéfinie d'une surface extérieure d'un corps de récipient. L'appareil de décoration comprend au moins une unité d'impression numérique, un blanchet de transfert et un élément de support. L'unité d'impression numérique transfère un matériau de décoration sur le blanchet de transfert pour former une décoration sur le blanchet de transfert. L'élément de support déplace ensuite un récipient métallique pour l'amener au contact du blanchet de transfert et transférer le matériau de décoration sur une partie de surface extérieure du récipient métallique pour le décorer. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'unité d'impression numérique est un système électrophotographique qui transfère un matériau de toner sur le blanchet de transfert. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'unité d'impression numérique comprend une tête d'impression à jet d'encre qui transfère une encre sur le blanchet de transfert. L'appareil de décoration peut éventuellement comporter deux éléments de support ou plus.
