DESCRIÇÃO  DESCRIPTION
TOUCAS HOSPITALARES COM BOLSO Domínio técnico da invenção HOSPITAL TOUCHS WITH POCKET Technical domain of the invention
The present invention relates to a textile article designed to be placed on the heads of healthcare providers.
The hospital cap of the present invention is fabricated from conventional textile material but having properties specific to the function in question and comprises at least one pocket allowing at the same time the health care provider to store securely and hold small personal objects such as rings, watches, etc., in an environment of asepsis or sterilization, which otherwise have to be stored in lockers or elsewhere and therefore easily lost.
Thus, the present invention is in the field of protective clothing, for professional use, in particular for use in a hospital environment.
Antecedentes da invenção Background of the invention
The use of caps and similar articles as protective agents in environments where hygiene is a critical requirement, for example in the hospital environment and in particular in the operating rooms, is well known.
As a result of this, the use of personal objects, such as watches, bracelets, rings, keys, etc. is usually conditioned or even restricted in this type of environment where the maintenance of asepsis and sterility are important. In addition, the use of this type of protective material in heated environments becomes a problem because they also contribute to increase the sensation of heat that the user experiences.
In the specific case of an operating room environment, it is absolutely necessary not only to avoid contamination caused by the interveners, but also to contain the sweat that may be produced by health professionals, medical personnel, nursing and assistants.
In this regard, various solutions have been proposed for designing hospital caps, such as caps with an elastic that tightens around the head, containing the hair and isolating the wearer's scalp from the environment, caps comprising an absorbent material in the part front and top of head, caps made of absorbent material, caps made of disposable material, etc.
Examples of some of these solutions are those disclosed in US5218723A and GB763721A. Both documents disclose hospital caps, with an essentially hygienic function, which also provide a level of comfort to the user.
However, none of these documents refers to a storage function of small objects for personal use.
Hats and caps with pocket are also known. They are mainly used in the area of sports and leisure, such as fisherman hats, runner hats, etc. They are usually articles made of resistant and sometimes also waterproof textile material, which present one or more pockets on the side of the cap or the base of the hat that connects with the respective flap.
However, either the materials used in this type of articles, or the application of this type of pocket to hospital caps, is not at all appropriate.
Surgical techniques routinely used today often rely on the use of electric power and the passage of electric current in the operative field.
In this way the user is prevented from using personal objects in their conventional form, having to leave them in a safe place outside the intervention room or place them in the pockets of their own clothing, thus making desirable the development of equipment permitted in this type storage of small metal objects for personal use in a safe place and close to the user.
This problem is solved by the creation of the surgical caps of the present invention, which comprise at least a small pocket with nonconductive material.
Descrição da invenção In addition, the cap of the present invention also provides for the inclusion of a sweat retention system and a fastening system, which comprises elastic bands, making its use comfortable, in hot environments and even after long periods of use. Description of the invention
The present invention relates to a textile article designed to be placed on the heads of healthcare providers.
This article is made of conventional textile material, preferably coated externally by a material with semipermeable function, which like the other surgical caps, has as main function the creation of a semipermeable system, which maintains the atmosphere of the scalp watertight, that there is passage of content from this medium to the surrounding environment, namely hair, sweat or other dead biological particles. In addition, the cap of the present invention features a storage system for small personal objects, i.e. at least a small pocket.
This pocket is made of non-conductive material such as rubber, latex, neoprene, preferably neoprene, since this material has good electrical conduction insulation properties.
When present, the pocket containment system is an active, pressure-closing system, such as a spring, zipper, velcro, which makes it difficult to apply to disposable caps or constructed of non-resistant materials.
Through the elastic bands that adjust the cap firmly to the head the pocket is kept under pressure causing that there is constant resistance to its opening, passively. This safety is reinforced by the way the pocket is formed, and which results from the application of two lapels of nonconductive material, one upper and one lower, and the upper one overlapping the lower one in a common area. Using the this type of material, and with this arrangement, it is not necessary to put any active closing mechanism, namely, spring, zipper, velcro, etc.
In the context of the present invention, the term "elastic band" has the same meaning as "elastic band".
Developed to be used as personal protective equipment, preferably in the health context, the cap is coated on the outside by a material resistant to water and other liquids, including biological fluids, but as semipermeable it is breathable and allows dissipation of heat with the environment around it, avoiding any loss of hair, sweat or other dead biological particles to the environment surrounding the user. The same outer layer has antimicrobial properties that prevent the proliferation of microorganisms that deposit in this layer, after the use by the professional.
In addition, it is also necessary for the cap to be fitted to the wearer's head, for example through an elastic band or elastic zone or further by incorporating a textile having elastic properties into one of the cap layers.
However, since the wearer will put on the cap and use it for several hours, the cap of the present invention has a laterally elastic system in the form of an elastic band which applies a slight dispersed pressure on the surface of the head and which serves to adjust to the shape of the head. The user may further apply pressure by using the cords located in the posterior region of the cap and which are in continuity with said elastic band. Furthermore, the cap of the present invention also provides for the inclusion of a sweat retention system, separate from the skin of the wearer, to avoid heating the maceration of his skin. Through a bag with micro perforations, located in the frontal region, a film of absorbent material promotes the function of absorbing and removing excess sweat and, through the semipermeable outer coating, the cap prevents that excess can pass outwards and fall to the work area, preferably the operative field. It is also in this material, from the outer layer, that the user's name can be placed by means of embroidery methods or other suitable ones for the purpose.
The material composing this outer coating is elastic, and adjustable to the user's head, but through its semipermeable mechanism allows heat dissipation.
It is also in this liner that the aforementioned pocket is found which allows the placement of small personal objects and is preferably placed in the lateral region of the head.
Its access is easy but its opening is possible only in an active and intentional way by the user, due to the existence of a mechanism of counter-resistances that prevent the accidental opening and fall of its contents.
The preferential existence of an intermediate coating layer with antimicrobial material has the function of adding another barrier in preventing the proliferation of commensal or nosocomial microbial flora, thus promoting a more controlled and less contaminated environment. Internally a vented coating, but serves as the first barrier to the passage of hair, sweat or other dead biological particles. The same inner layer has antimicrobial properties, which prevent the proliferation of microorganisms that deposit in this layer, after the use by the professional.
This layer coating the intermediate layer, when it is present, both working together to ensure the elimination of the proliferating microbial flora.
