As the handle means moves further downwards, due to the dimensions of the penetrating device 30 is penetrates the base of the capsule and passes into the main body thereof. As the handle means moves still further down, the tip of the penetrating device 30 comes into contact with the foil of the capsule. It can be seen that the penetrating means is positioned so that it contacts the foil off-centre and to the right of the image shown in figure 8.
  • the penetrating device 30 does not penetrate the foil and instead pushes it downwards to form the flap. As a result, the enclosed particulate beverage material falls downwards out of the capsule and into an infusion chamber, ready to start the brewing procedure.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil destiné à préparer une boisson à partir d'une capsule, la capsule comprenant un matériau précurseur de boisson particulaire, l'appareil comprenant : (1) un emplacement de réception de capsule ; (2) une chambre d'infusion de boisson ayant une entrée de chambre destinée à recevoir un liquide d'infusion et une sortie de chambre permettant de distribuer une boisson infusée ; (3) un trajet d'écoulement de liquide d'infusion, reliant une alimentation de liquide d'infusion à une entrée de chambre de la chambre d'infusion ; caractérisé en ce que : l'emplacement de réception de capsule est distant du trajet d'écoulement de liquide d'infusion, et un canal est prévu qui relie l'emplacement de réception de capsule à la chambre d'infusion de boisson ; l'invention concerne également un dispositif permettant de pénétrer la capsule de façon à provoquer une ouverture dans la région la plus basse de la capsule, permettant ainsi au matériau précurseur de boisson particulaire de sortir de la capsule le long du canal et vers la chambre d'infusion, le dispositif permettant de pénétrer la capsule étant agencé pour entrer dans la capsule par le dessus, passer à travers la capsule et provoquer une ouverture dans la région la plus basse de la capsule, de sorte à permettre au matériau de boisson particulaire de quitter la capsule sous l'effet de la force de gravité.
