  • Vending machine (1 ) is placed adjacent to a midpoint side entrance located approximately at the midpoint of the bus.
  • Some bus layouts provide an open space without chairs adjacent to this midpoint side entrance. This open space may be large enough to accommodate vending machine (1 ).
  • Kiosk (2) is placed adjacent to front entrance located near the bus driver where there is appropriate access to the remote storage compartment (7) (Fig. 7).
  • kiosk (2) since kiosk (2) includes only the payment system and a product delivery window, kiosk (2) does not require as much space lending to placement in more locations throughout the vehicle, such as adjacent to the midpoint side entrance of a bus. Placement near the bus driver and near front entrance may facilitate transactions as riders come on or get off of the bus. It is envisioned that a kiosk (2) unit could be placed adjacent to each entrance of bus. It is also envisioned that kiosk (2) may be placed in other locations throughout bus.
  • Panel B depicts placement of a vending machine (1 ), and the kiosk (2) in the interior of a bus as used in a long run transportation bus system.
  • Vending machine (1 ) is placed adjacent to the bathroom.
  • Kiosk (2) is placed near the door and the driver of the bus where there is appropriate access to the remote storage compartment (7) (Fig. 7).
  • vending machine (1 ) and kiosk (2) are envisioned. In additional embodiments of present disclosure, the vending machine (1 ) and kiosk (2) is placed in other places in the interior of a bus.

  • the vending machine (1 ) is placed near a point of ingress and egress, i.e., the door, and along an exterior wall.
  • Kiosk (2) is also placed near a point of ingress and egress, i.e., the door, and near a bathroom. Placement of vending machine (1 ) along the exterior wall permits exterior restocking.

  • the touch screen (3) uses software to place the order, store credit card information to process transaction when there is internet connection, and control product delivery system to move product from remote product storage.
  • the product delivery system can be accomplished in a myriad of ways including hydraulic actuation, mechanical manipulation such as screw, and the like.
  • Products and materials shall be transported from the remote storage (7) unit to the product delivery kiosk (2) through a product delivery system comprised of a conveyor system.

  • Such conveyor system may be fully enclosed or may have some parts that are open to the exterior environment.
  • a conveyor system is a piece of mechanical handling equipment that moves materials and products from one location to another and allows quick and efficient transportation for a wide variety of materials and products.

  • Some of the styles of material and product handling conveyors that may be used are: Belt driven roller conveyor, Gravity conveyor, Gravity skate wheel conveyor, Belt conveyor, Wire mesh conveyors, Plastic belt conveyors, Bucket conveyors, Flexible conveyors, Vertical conveyors, Spiral conveyors, Vibrating conveyors, Pneumatic conveyors, Electric track vehicle systems, Belt driven live roller conveyors, Line shaft roller conveyor, Chain conveyor, Screw or auger conveyor, Chain driven live roller conveyor, Overhead I- beam conveyors, Drag Conveyor, Pick and Place robotic arm with gripper or pusher mechanism, Pneumatic conveyors, Belt cable screw Chain & roller conveyors Synchronized Sidewalls, Vertical conveyor systems and spiral conveyors, and Incline/decline conveyors with angles ranging from 1 to 90 degrees.

Also, the touch screen provides an easy method of selection of a product using product images. Vending machine (1 ) and kiosk (2) further comprises a credit card reader that provides cashless payment system, a product delivery window, a product delivery system and a product storage. Once the product is selected and payment is made, a product delivery system which contains one or more components first withdraws a product from a product storage compartment and then dispenses requested product to a product delivery window.
