Description
ELECTRIC MACHINE HOUSING WITH TERMINAL BOX
Technical field
The present invention relates to the technical field of electric machines, in particular to an electric machine housing and an electric machine having the electric machine housing .
Background art
Electric vehicles are becoming more and more common in everyday life, and need to be driven by an electric machine. The current market has ever more stringent requirements regarding the size and weight of electric motors used for electric vehicles, and electric machines of small size and light weight with high torque and high dynamic response have become a focus of development of vehicle electric motors for the future.
The question of how to reduce the size of electric machines has thus become a very important subject at the present time, and this objective can be achieved by reducing the axial length of an electric machine housing. In the case of a junction box of an existing electric machine housing, 4 steel plates are fixed to the electric machine housing by welding. Since flanges are also provided at two ends of the electric machine housing, 2 of the steel plates of the junction box are separated from the flanges on the electric machine housing by gaps. Since the junction box of the electric machine has creepage distance and clearance requirements, in order to satisfy the electrical properties and mechanical properties of the electric machine, the junction box cannot be made arbitrarily small, hence it is difficult to reduce the axial length of the electric machine housing, and correspondingly, it is difficult to reduce the size of the electric machine.
Content of the invention
In view of the above, the object of the present invention is to propose an electric machine housing and an electric machine having the electric machine housing; the electric machine housing has a shorter axial length, and can meet the need to make electric machines smaller in electric vehicles.
The present invention provides an electric machine housing, comprising: a body, the body being a hollow structure, and having a first end and a second end opposite the first end; a first housing flange, fixed to the first end, the first housing flange having a first protruding part; a second housing flange, fixed to the second end, the second housing flange having a second protruding part, and being arranged opposite the first protruding part; a first junction box side plate, connected in a fixed manner between the first protruding part and the second protruding part; and a second junction box side plate, connected in a fixed manner between the first protruding part and the second protruding part, and arranged opposite the first junction box side plate, with the first protruding part, the second protruding part, the first junction box side plate and the second junction box side plate forming a junction box.
In a schematic embodiment of the electric machine housing, the electric machine housing further comprises: mounting plates fixed to two sides of the body.
In a schematic embodiment of the electric machine housing, a through-hole is provided in the second protruding part; a cable in the junction box passes through the through-hole and is connected to an external cable.
In a schematic embodiment of the electric machine housing, the junction box further comprises: a cover plate, which covers and is fixed to the first protruding part, the second
protruding part, the first junction box side plate and the second junction box side plate.
In a schematic embodiment of the electric machine housing, an end face, facing the cover plate, of the first protruding part is a convex arcuate face, and an end face, facing the cover plate, of the second protruding part is a convex arcuate face.
In a schematic embodiment of the electric machine housing, a threaded mounting part is provided inside the junction box, and the cover plate is fixed to the threaded mounting part.
In a schematic embodiment of the electric machine housing, multiple fasteners are provided on an outer side of the second junction box side plate, the fasteners being used to fix a sensor junction box.
In a schematic embodiment of the electric machine housing, the first housing flange also has a first connecting part, the first protruding part being connected to the first connecting part, and multiple first vent holes being provided in the first connecting part; the second housing flange also has a second connecting part, the second protruding part being connected to the second connecting part, and multiple second vent holes being provided in the second connecting part.
The present invention also provides an electric machine, comprising any one of the electric machine housings described above .
In a schematic embodiment of the electric machine, the electric machine is an all-electric-drive electric machine for vehicle use.
In the electric machine housing and the electric machine having the electric machine housing of the present invention, the first housing flange and the second housing flange of the
electric machine housing replace some of the steel plates of a junction box, and the gaps between the first housing flange and the junction box, and between the second housing flange and the junction box, are zero, so that the axial length of the electric machine housing is reduced to a greater extent; hence, it is possible to reduce the size of the entire electric machine and meet the need to make electric machines smaller in electric vehicles.

Particular embodiments
In order to clarify the object, technical solution and advantages of the present invention, the present invention is explained in further detail below by way of embodiments.
Fig. 1 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of an electric machine housing in an embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 2 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of the electric machine housing shown in fig. 1, viewed in another direction; referring to figs. 1 and 2, the electric machine housing 10 in this embodiment comprises a body 11, a first housing flange 12, a second housing flange 13, a first
junction box side plate 14 and a second junction box side plate 15; the body 11 is a hollow structure, having a first end 111 and a second end 112 opposite the first end 111. The first housing flange 12 is fixed to the first end 111, and has a first protruding part 121 extending in a radial direction of the body 11. The second housing flange 13 is fixed to the second end 112, and has a second protruding part 131, the second protruding part 131 extending in a radial direction of the body 11 and being arranged opposite the first protruding part 121.
The first junction box side plate 14 is connected in a fixed manner between the first protruding part 121 and the second protruding part 131. The second junction box side plate 15 is connected in a fixed manner between the first protruding part 121 and the second protruding part 131, and is arranged opposite the first junction box side plate 14; the first protruding part 121, the second protruding part 131, the first junction box side plate 14 and the second junction box side plate 15 form a junction box 16.
More specifically, the body 11 is substantially a hollow cylinder. The first housing flange 12 also has a first connecting part 122; the first protruding part 121 is connected to the first connecting part 122. The first connecting part 122 is substantially annular, and multiple first vent holes 123 are provided in the first connecting part 122; the first vent holes 123 allow the passage of a cooling gas flow in the electric machine, wherein the first vent hole 123 adjacent to the first protruding part 121 is in communication with the interior of the junction box 16, and is passed through by a cable in the electric machine; after passing through the first vent hole 123, the cable in the electric machine enters the junction box 16 through the bottom at one side of the junction box 16.
It must be explained that in order to reduce the size of the electric machine in a length direction (i.e. radial direction) as much as possible, an internal diameter of the electric machine housing 10 and an external diameter of a stator inside the electric machine are substantially equal, with the result that the interior of the housing is completely occupied by the stator, and in this embodiment, the first vent hole 123 adjacent to the first protruding part 121 is in communication with the interior of the junction box 16, and the cable in the electric machine can pass through the first vent hole 123 and enter the junction box 16 through the bottom at one side of the junction box 16. Thus, this manner of leading out wires helps to reduce the size of the electric machine to the greatest extent possible.
A through-hole 133 is provided in the second protruding part 131 of the second housing flange 13; a cable in the junction box 16 passes through the through-hole 133 and is connected to an external cable. The external cable is a cable of a controller of the electric machine; the controller is provided outside the junction box 16. The second housing flange 13 also has a second connecting part 132; the second protruding part 131 is connected to the second connecting part 132. The second connecting part 132 is substantially annular, and multiple second vent holes 134 are provided in the second connecting part 132; the second vent holes 134 allow the passage of a cooling gas flow in the electric machine.
The first junction box side plate 14 and the second junction box side plate 15 are of a rectangular plate structure, and multiple fasteners 151 are further provided on an outer side of the second junction box side plate 15; the fasteners 151 are used to fix a sensor junction box, i.e. a sensor junction box may also be mounted on one side of the junction box 16 according to actual needs.
Fig. 3 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of an electric machine in an embodiment of the present invention; referring to fig. 3 as well, the junction box 16 comprises a cover plate 161. It must be explained that an end face, facing the cover plate 161, of the first protruding part 121 is a convex arcuate face, and an end face, facing the cover plate 161, of the second protruding part 131 is a convex arcuate face. Threaded mounting parts 162 are provided at four corners inside the junction box 16; the cover plate 161 is fixed by fasteners to the threaded mounting parts 162. The cover plate 161 covers and is fixed to the first protruding part 121, the second protruding part 131, the first junction box side plate 14 and the second junction box side plate 15. When the cover plate 161 is mounted, a sealing gasket is provided between the cover plate 161 on the one hand, and the first protruding part 121, the second protruding part 131, the first junction box side plate 14 and the second junction box side plate 15 on the other. Since the end face of the first protruding part 121 and the end face of the second protruding part 131 are arcuate faces, a pretightening force among the cover plate 161, the sealing gasket and the arcuate faces acts on the fasteners, thereby improving a locking effect of the fasteners; the cover plate 161 is fitted more closely to the first junction box side plate 14 and the second junction box side plate 15, so external dust can be prevented from entering the electric machine .
The electric machine housing 10 further comprises mounting plates 17 fixed to two sides of the body 11. The mounting plates 17 are used for mounting the electric machine to an electric vehicle.
In the electric machine housing 10 of the present utility model, since two of the side plates of the junction box 16 are integrally formed on the first housing flange 12 and the second housing flange 13 respectively, i.e. with zero separation between the junction box 16 on the one hand, and
the first housing flange 12 and the second housing flange 13 on the other, the axial length of the electric machine housing 10 can be reduced as much as possible while meeting creepage distance and clearance requirements, thereby effectively solving the problem that the electric machine housing is restricted by the size of the junction box, while ensuring that the external appearance is not changed greatly.
Fig. 4 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of the electric machine shown in fig. 3, viewed in another direction; fig. 5 is a three-dimensional sectional schematic diagram of the electric machine shown in fig. 3. Referring to figs. 4, 5 and 3, the present invention also proposes an electric machine 20; the electric machine 20 is an all-electric-drive electric machine for vehicle use, and comprises the abovementioned electric machine housing 10. The electric machine 20 further comprises a first bearing support 22, a second bearing support 23, a first bearing 24, a shaft coupling 25, a second bearing 26, a rotation shaft 27, a rotor 28 and a stator 29; the first bearing support 22 and the second bearing support 23 cover two ends of the electric machine housing 10 respectively. Referring to figs. 1 and 2 as well, the first bearing support 22 is connected in a fixed manner to the first connecting part 122 of the first housing flange 12, and the second bearing support 23 is connected in a fixed manner to the second connecting part 132 of the second housing flange 13. The first bearing 24 surrounds one end of the rotation shaft 27, and is located on the outside of the second bearing support 23. The shaft coupling 25 and the second bearing 26 both surround one end of the rotation shaft 27, said end being opposite the first bearing 24; the shaft coupling 25 is located on the outside of the first bearing support 22, and the second bearing 26 is located between the first bearing support 22 and the first housing flange 12. An outer ring of the shaft coupling 25 is provided with a toothed part 251, and a sensor is provided beside the toothed part 251; the sensor can
ascertain the number of revolutions of the shaft coupling 25 per unit time through sensing of the toothed part 251, and transmit this information to the controller, to enable control of the rotation speed of the electric machine 20 by the controller .
The rotor 28 surrounds the rotation shaft 27, and can rotate together with the rotation shaft 27. The stator 29 is fixed in the electric machine housing 10, and located outside the rotor 28.
When the electric machine housing 10 is applied to the electric machine 20, the axial length of the electric machine housing 10 is smaller than in the prior art in the case where the same creepage distance and clearance are satisfied, so that it is possible to reduce the size of the electric machine and meet the need to make electric machines smaller in electric vehicles.
The electric machine housing and the electric machine having the electric machine housing of the present invention at least have the following advantages:
1. In the electric machine housing and the electric machine having the electric machine housing of the present invention, the first housing flange and the second housing flange of the electric machine housing replace some of the steel plates of a junction box, and the gaps between the first housing flange and the junction box, and between the second housing flange and the junction box, are zero, so that the axial length of the electric machine housing is reduced to a greater extent; hence, it is possible to reduce the size of the entire electric machine and meet the need to make electric machines smaller in electric vehicles.
2. In an embodiment of the electric machine housing and the electric machine having the electric machine housing of the
present invention, in the junction box, a through-hole is provided on the second protruding part, by means of which through-hole a cable in the junction box can be connected to a cable of an external controller, wherein the junction box and the controller are arranged separately, helping to reduce the axial length of the electric machine housing.
3. In an embodiment of the electric machine housing and the electric machine having the electric machine housing of the present invention, multiple first vent holes are provided in the first connecting part of the first housing flange, wherein the first vent hole adjacent to the first protruding part is also passed through by a cable in the electric machine; after passing through the first vent hole, the cable in the electric machine enters the junction box through the bottom of the junction box.
4. In an embodiment of the electric machine housing and the electric machine having the electric machine housing of the present invention, fasteners are provided on an outer side of the second junction box side plate, the fasteners being used to fix a sensor junction box; the arrangement of the sensor junction box will not increase the axial length of the electric machine housing.
5. In an embodiment of the electric machine housing and the electric machine having the electric machine housing of the present invention, an end face, facing the cover plate, of the first protruding part is a convex arcuate face, and an end face, facing the cover plate, of the second protruding part is a convex arcuate face; when the cover plate covers and is fixed to the first protruding part, the second protruding part, the first junction box side plate and the second junction box side plate, a sealing gasket is provided beneath the cover plate, and a pretightening force among the cover plate, the sealing gasket and the arcuate faces acts on fasteners, thereby improving a locking effect of the
fasteners; the cover plate is fitted more closely to the first junction box side plate and the second junction box side plate, so external dust can be prevented from entering the electric machine.
