Fourth, waterline finish material is installed on a leading side of the dam to create a static water level. Fifth, the mounting plate of the invention and associated elements are installed between the high-point of the ledge and the dam so as to span the trough created. Then to complete, the coping/finish material for the shell top at body of water is installed on top of the mounting plate with its top at equal elevation/grade to the top of the waterline finish material.

Abstract
