Embodiment of the first aspect
An embodiment of this disclosure provides a social group creation method, applicable to a mobile electronic device. The social group here is, for example, a chat  group, etc., but this disclosure is not limited thereto.
FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of one implementation of the social group creation method of an embodiment of this disclosure. As shown in FIG. 1, the creation method includes:
step 101: all face images in a designated photo are identified;
step 102: user information to which all identified face images correspond is acquired; and
step 103: a social group is created by taking users to which the acquired user information corresponds as group members of the social group.
In this embodiment, the social group is created by identifying the face images in the designated photo and acquiring user information to which the face images correspond, rather than by adding group members one by one. Hence, a social group may be created quickly, thereby better improving user experiences.
In this embodiment, if a face in the designated photo is not identified, as user information to which the face corresponds cannot be acquired, a user to which the face corresponds will not be included in the social group, or the user will be added to the social group by using other methods.
In this embodiment, the above designated photo may be a photo selected from an electronic album of the mobile electronic device, and may also be a photo captured by a camera of the mobile electronic device. However, this disclosure is not limited thereto, and the designated photo may be a photo acquired from other functions of acquiring photos.
In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, before step 101, the method may further include:
step 100: an option of creating a group by using a designated photo is provided, and a designated photo is acquired after the option is selected.
In this embodiment, after a user selects an application used for creating a social group, a function of creating a social group may be started by pressing a button (a physical button or a virtual button) . Hence, the method of this embodiment may provide multiple options of manners of creating social group for a user to select, for  example, a normal option of “creating a group by adding group members” , and for another example, the option of “creating a group by using a designated photo” in this embodiment.
After the option of “creating a group by using a designated photo” in this embodiment is selected by the user, the designated photo may be acquired. In this embodiment, the above designated photo may be acquired via a default function, and may also be acquired by providing options of functions of acquiring photos.
As to acquiring the designated photo via a default function, for example, when the default function is an electronic album, after the above option is selected, the electronic album of the mobile electronic device is activated, for the user to select the designated photo from the electronic album; and for another example, when the default function is a camera, after the above option is selected, a camera of the mobile electronic device is activated, for the user to capture an image in a real-time manner and take it as the designated photo.
As to acquiring the designated photo by providing options of functions of acquiring photos, for example, after the above option is selected, multiple options of functions are provided, such as an electronic album, a camera, etc. After the user selects one of the options, a function to which the selected option corresponds is activated, for the user to select the designated photo or capture an image and take it as the designated photo.
In this embodiment, the applications in which this disclosure may be various existing Apps, such as Facebook, Twitter, Wechat, BBC News, and Gmail, etc. ; however, this disclosure is not limited thereto, and the applications may be various applications that currently exist or that may be developed in the future.
In step 101, the above designated photo may be detected by using a face detection method, so as to understand or to recognize that a photo includes faces and to obtain all face images in the designated photo. The face images may be taken as head photos of members of the social group. A face detection method is not limited in this embodiment, and any face detection method is applicable, such as an existing face detection method, or a face detection method developed in the future, to detect or to  determine whether faces in the above designated photo can be detected.
In step 102, face features of all face images identified in step 101 may be extracted one by one, and compared and matched with face features stored in a database corresponding to information of multiple users according to face features of each face image, and user information matching with the above face features is searched from the database.
In this embodiment, the database may be a database of a cloud-based server, or may be a database of a local server, or may be a local database (the mobile electronic device) , and this disclosure is not limited thereto.
In this embodiment, face features corresponding to information of multiple users are stored in the database in advance, so as to compare with the face features of the face image identified in step 101, thereby acquiring corresponding user information.
FIG. 2 shows a method for storing the face features corresponding to the information of multiple users. As shown in FIG. 2, the method includes:
step 201: uploading a face identifiable photo is suggested;
step 202: a face image in the face identifiable photo is identified;
step 203: face features of the face image are extracted; and
step 204: the face features of the face image and user information to which the face image corresponds are associatedly stored.
In step 201, the user may be suggested to upload the face identifiable photo, the face identifiable photo having a face image for use in performing face identification, and the face image corresponding to a user. In step 201, the user may be suggested at the same time to input user information of the user to which the face image corresponds. The user information may include a user name, and/or a user identifier (ID) , etc.
In step 202, similar to step 101, the face image in the face identifiable photo may be identified by using the face detection method, and a particular detection method is not limited in this embodiment.
In step 203, similar to step 103, the face features of the identified face image may be extracted. A particular extraction method is not limited in this embodiment, and the  extracted face features include such information as a user face identification parameter, etc.
In step 204, the face features of the face image extracted in step 203 may be stored in association with the user information (including a user name, and/or a user identifier (ID) , etc. ) to which the face image corresponds.
With the method shown in FIG. 2, face features of multiple users are stored in the database, and corresponding user information is found by comparing them with the face features of all the face images extracted in step 102.
In step 103, the social group may be created by taking users to which the acquired user information corresponding to all the face images corresponds as group members of the social group, and the face images identified in step 101 may be taken as head photos of the group members; however, this disclosure is not limited thereto.
Hence, rather than adding the group members one by one in creating the social group, they are added by identifying the face images in the designated photo, which may be accomplished in one step, thereby saving time in creating the social group, and improving user experiences.
In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, alternatively, the method may further include:
step 104: a default group name for a created social group is designated or inputting a group name is suggested.
In this embodiment, after the social group is created, a default group name may be given to the social group, or the user may be suggested to input a group name, and this disclosure is not limited thereto.
The method of this embodiment shall be described below with reference to examples given in FIGs. 3-8.
As shown in FIG. 3, in this embodiment, the user is suggested to upload a face identifiable photo 301 first, then face identification is performed on the identifiable photo 301 and face features 302 of the identifiable photo 301are extracted, and finally, the face features 302 are stored in association with user information 303 of a face image in the identifiable photo 301 in a database 304.
In this embodiment, what is shown in FIG. 3 is a preprocessing procedure, and is not a necessary processing procedure of the method of this embodiment, that is, the processing shown in FIG. 3 is not performed in the method of this embodiment each time. For example, the processing shown in FIG. 3 may also be performed in other electronic devices, and an identification result may be stored in the database 304; or, the processing shown in FIG. 3 may be replaced, and the user information 303 and the face features 302 to which it corresponds may be stored in the database 304 by other means.
As shown in FIG. 4, when a user prepares to create a new group, the user first presses a button (a physical button or a virtual button) , and then options of creation manners are provided by the method of this embodiment for selection by the user. As shown in FIG. 4, the method of this embodiment provides two options, one is “creating a group by using a designated photo” 401, and the other one is “creating a group by adding members” 402. After the user selects the option “creating a group by using a designated photo” 401, the camera 403 is activated in the method of this embodiment as the camera 403 is a default function, and as described above, alternatively, if the default function is electronic album, the electronic album may be activated, or multiple options of functions of acquiring photos may be provided for the user to select. For brevity and convenience, this embodiment is described by taking that the camera 403 is activated as an example. Hence, the user may capture a photo 404 at the site by using the camera 403 and take the photo 404 as the above designated photo.
As shown in FIG. 5, as there exist multiple persons in the photo 404 captured by the camera 403, in this embodiment, all face images in the photo 404 may be obtained by performing face detection on the photo 404, as shown at the right side of FIG. 5. A detection method is not limited in this embodiment.
As shown in FIG. 6, after all the face images in the photo 404 are detected, face features of each face image, such as a face identification parameter, may be extracted one by one. FIG. 6 schematically shows an example of extracting face features 602 of one face image 601.
As shown in FIG. 7, corresponding user information 603 is found from the database 304 by using the above face features 602.
As shown in FIG. 8, users to which all found user information 303 corresponds are taken as group members and added into a group 801, and a group name 802 is defaulted or the user is suggested to input a group name.
